Certain things you hear so-called sovereign citizens and patriots talk about cannot be verified or backed up with facts or factual documentation, especially in a court of law, but when it comes to the maritime-admiralty or military nature of modern courts via denotation of a gold-fringe (or yellow-fringe) on the American flag, this undoubtedly can be backed up and I did so myself, successfully, in an open court of law in Glendale, California in 2002-2003.
 American courts operate under commercial law or law of the merchant today though hardly no government official, especially a judge, will ever admit to this fact, well, at least not publicly.
Our courts operate today solely for profit. In fact, in many courts, clerks are called cashiers. Go to any court in Los Angeles County for a traffic case and when you hear a judge tell someone what his or her bail amount is, the judge (or commissioner) will tell the person to go see the cashier. Not the clerk! But the cashier! There's a difference between a cashier and a clerk.
Cashier. noun. A person handling payments and receipts in a store, bank, or other business.
Clerk. noun. 1 a person employed in an office or bank to keep records and accounts and to undertake other routine administrative duties : a bank clerk. - an official in charge of the records of a local council or court : a clerk to the court.
Being technical, we should not have to pay any money pertaining to our legal issues adjudicated in a courthouse. We should not have to pay government agencies, any government agency, for anything related to due process of law (hearing and opportunity to defend one's self) considering that U.S. citizens pay nearly 40% of their wages (so-called "income") from labor to government under an income tax.
So to pay 40% of your total income to government via taxes and then to have to pay exorbitant court fees (filing fees) is adding insult to injury. It is actually criminal. But when you are ignorant and afraid of your government you will allow such draconian and nefarious things to occur, despite allegedly being in the land of the free and the home of the brave.
Our courts, which are technically "merchant tribunals", are businesses operated under the guise of government agencies. In fact, in Los Angeles County, they now have customer service survey cards for people to fill out.
People are no longer just defendants and plaintiffs, or simply litigants, but are now mere paying CUSTOMERS! And what is a customer? A customer is someone who pays money for something, usually a service or a product.
Customer. noun 1 a person or organization that buys goods or services from a store or business : Mr. Harrison was a regular customer at the Golden Lion | [as adj. ] customer service.
When you go to the courthouse, whether you're the plaintiff or the defendant, the winner or the loser, you are paying for something - a service! Most payments are made under the guise of a filing fee for some type of legal pleading, be it a complaint, judgment or order, or motion.
Court services are not extensions of government anymore. Government as we once knew it is now a business that operates strictly for profit. Today, all government agencies want and collect money, called revenue.
Government agencies, both judicial and administrative, even charge us today for our constitutionally protected right of due process of law which ensures us the right to have a hearing and/or to be notified of a hearing for an alleged commission of a violation or offense and the opportunity to present evidence in our defense against an alleged commission of a violation or offense.
Reference the following for your judicial edification:
"The essentials of due process are regular and orderly procedure in court of competent jurisdiction, notice to defendant, opportunity for defendant to be heard, and fair hearing." State Acting By and through Dept. of Water Resources v. Natomas Co. (App. 3 Dist. 1966) 239 Cal.App.2d 547
"Reasonable notice and opportunity to be heard and present any claim or defense are embodied in the term "procedural due process." In re Nelson, 78 N.M. 739, 437 P.2d 1008
Because due process is an indispensable foundation of individual freedom in the United States, the simple fact that we now must pay for the right in order to exercise the right and benefit from the right, clearly reveals we have lost our individual freedom in this respect and regard, but also to many others that I am not covering in this article.
Considering the following:
"Due process of law is primarily and indispensable foundation of individual freedom." Application of gault, Ariz. (1967) 87 S.Ct. 1428, 387 U.S. 1, 18 L.Ed 2d 527
Government is now making us pay for our rights so as to raise revenue for government's own private agendas that eventually end up affecting all of us, and the trip thing is - We the People allow this tyranny, despotism, and treason. But like the saying goes: if you don't know your rights, you don't have any rights!
Commercial law is enforced under maritime-admiralty law or the law of the high seas. When you go to court and you cross the bar, you have just entered the judge's vessel (ship) and the gold fringe on the American flag in the courtroom denotes the rights of the judge (ship master) and gives notice to you that he or she (the judge) will use the Law of the Flag (maritime-admiralty law) to regulate all contracts entered into with the court.
What contracts, Djehuty? Well, everything, from a traffic ticket, a complaint, a summons, etc. constitutes a contract unbeknownst to most litigants. These days, your actions or failure to act (omissions) creates a contract (agreement) under modern day court's schemes and frauds to get folks into court so as to collect money.
When you cross the bar, unbeknownst to you, you are now under the judge's (and court's) jurisdiction which is admiralty-maritime jurisdiction or commercial law jurisdiction.
You may think the United States Constitution is the supreme law of the land and governs the proceeding but it does not. In fact, the Constitution has no place in a modern courtroom. It is only there in the courtroom to dupe you, to fool you and make you think you're in a courtroom that respects and acknowledges the laws of the United States of America, but the United States of America is no more. It only exists in theory, but not practice.
In fact, it is common for many people to be threatened by judges for the mere reference of or to the Constitution to secure certain rights, privileges, and immunities. The judge is not bound by the Constitution or constitutional law, despite his or her oath to the Constitution, which is just for show. Commercial law binds the judge these days. This is why so many people who stand on their constitutional rights in court get shot down by the judge. The Constitution has no applicability in a modern day courtroom unless you really know law and how to use law, then there's a way to make a proceeding strictly constitutional and to get the judge to act accordingly.
The above pertaining to crossing the bar and thus entering the judge's vessel (where a gold-fringed flag hangs) and being under the judge's jurisdiction is substantiated in a doctrine called "Law of the Flag."
"Law of the flag." A rule to the effect that a vessel is a part of the territory of the nation whose flag she flies. The term is used to designate the rights under which a ship owner, who sends his vessel into port, gives notice by his flag to all who enter into contracts with the ship master that he intends the Law of that Flag to regulate those contracts, and that they must either submit to its operation or not contract with him or his agent at all. Ruhstrat v. People, 57 N.E. 41
There are no more nations today. The word is used very lightly nowadays. Nation means 'corporation' today. Vessel does not only refer to a ship today, but many other things, even including an all-capital letter name, hence, an artificial entity.
Considering the following:
"Though, the term "vessel", in admiralty law, is not limited to ships or vessels engaged in commerce." St. Hiliare Moye v. Henderson, C.A. Ark., 496 F.2d 973, 979
So as you can see from the above, the term 'vessel' is not limited to physical ships and vessels.
The gold-fringe on the American flag in the courtroom lets you know what jurisdiction you're in and therefore the rights of all involved in the issue (transaction).
But you need to know that anything, including the gold fringe, added to the American flag, changes or alters the American flag and thus what the flag represents.
Consider the following:
"Anything put on the American Flag such as a gold fringe mutilates the flag and carries a one year prison term. Confirmed by Title 36 U.S.C. § 176(g)."
Title 4 U.S.C., Section 3
 Note: The gold fringe is a fourth color and represents "color of military law" jurisdiction and when placed on the Title 4 U.S.C. §§ 1 and 2 Flag, mutilates the Flag and suspends the Constitution.
When you walk into a courtroom or an administrative agency and see that gold-fringed flag, it's a sign that the Constitution has been suspended in that particular courthouse or agency.
I'm telling you the facts and the truth, people! That gold-fringed flag in government buildings and offices today denotes military law. Former President Dwight D. Eisenhower clearly stated the difference between the two flags and the only difference was the gold (or yellow) fringe that when placed on the normal or regular American flag, made the flag a military flag.
Please reference the following:
"...A military flag that resembles the regular flag of the United States, except that it has a Yellow Fringe border on three (3) sides." President Dwight D. Eisenhower, Executive Order No. 10834, signed on August 21, 1959 and printed in the Federal Register at 24 F.R. 6865.
The use of the fringe is totally militaristic in nature:
"Flag Martial Law." The use of such a fringe is prescribed in current Army Regulation No. 260.10 34 Opinions of the Attorney General, 483 and 485
Need more facts (proof, evidence)? Well, consider the following:
"The Flag is trimmed on these sides with Fringe of Gold 2 1/2 inches wide, and that, such flags are flown indoors, only in military courtrooms. And that the Gold Fringed Flag is not to be carried by anyone except units of the United States Army, and the United States Army division associations." Army Regulations (AR 840.10), October 1, 1979
You may not know it, but actually, all nations really have 2 flags: a military flag that denotes the country is at war, and a civil flag that denotes the country or nation is at peace. Nathaniel Hawthorne wrote about the two flags (military and civil) in his book, The Scarlet Letter:
"From the loftiest point of its roof, during precisely three and a half hours of each forenoon, floats or droops, in breeze or calm, the banner of the republic; but with the thirteen stripes turned vertically, instead of horizontally, and thus indicating that a civil, and not a military post of Uncle Sam's government is here established." The Scarlet Letter (1850), by Nathaniel Hawthorne, pg. 5
Believe it or not, the American flag you see today (red, white, and blue with the 50 stars and 13 stripes in it) is the MILITARY flag of the United States. The civil flag of the United States has not flown since the beginning of the Civil War.
We have actually been under martial law since the Civil War, which has never been officially declared over with. But that's another story in and of itself.
Today, when you deal with any government agency, your name is spelled in all capital letters for a reason. When your name is spelled correctly with upper and lower case letters that denotes the real you, a human being. But when your name is spelled in all capital letters, this denotes an artificial entity, in a maritime-admiralty venue called a "vessel" or "public vessel."
Birth, Given, or Christian name: John Doe
All capital letter name or artificial entity: JOHN DOE
Now go look at all your government and corporate/business statements. At least 95% of them have your name spelled in all capital letters. Your driver's license, state ID card, Social Security card, tax forms/documents, utility bills, courthouse correspondence, etc.
In commercial law or law of the high seas, a vessel is used for one thing: movement for commercial purposes. And now that we (citizens, human beings) have been converted into vessels or public vessels via document-based alchemy (Social Security card, birth certificate, etc.), our daily movements in life are all for one thing: commercial purposes. Our whole lives are based upon commerce, also called trade, traffic, and intercourse.
We traffic in sex, drugs, and other things all for purposes of commerce (profit). Even sex is called sexual intercourse because it deals with the movement or transporting of sexual fluids. This is the legal reason why government can regulate sex. The government determines the legal age a female can have sex, which is age 18. But if a female is physically developed and consents of her own free will to have sex with a male over age 18, but she is only 16 or 17 years of age, a violation has occurred. The girl has not been violated (because remember, she consented), but the law has been violated. This is called statutory rape. The statute has been raped or violated, not the female. The law uses the female to make the violation occur. All females are property of the State! Well, all males too!
You see, it's not rape! It's statutory rape. There's a difference. When a person is outright raped, sex has occurred by force or without consent. With statutory rape, the sex is by consent (however statutory rape can still be committed absent consent). We are dealing with consent and legal age here pertaining to this whole rape and statutory rape thing.
 Females are the biggest pawns in this whole game with government. There's no commodity in the world pertaining to commerce more valuable than the female. With the female, you get labor, sex (sexual pleasure), new humans are born through them, and a large chunk of legal cases involve them, i.e. spousal abuse, child support, alimony or spousal support, etc.
The most prized physical possession in the Matrix is the female vagina (or 'pussy', it's pejorative term) because it provides pleasure, new life, and a host of diseases that justify new pharmaceutical drugs and surgical processes (hysterectomy, abortion, etc.) that brings in billions of dollars to the Western medical cartel. Everything from the vagina or associated with it brings in money or revenue.
In our imbalanced world, most money made is made off the female, from some kind of labor, be it regular labor or sex labor.
So thanks to having births today in hospitals, we are all magically made or converted into public vessels where the government uses us to make money.
We are property owned by the State. We must get permission to do nearly everything, especially if money is involved and we are to make money from doing something - a trade or occupation.
In law or the world of law, permission is called "license", "permit", or "certificate."
Licenses, permits, and certificates are not free either. Government makes you pay for them. It's like paying to be a slave. You can work and make a little money, but you have to pay government first. Government wants a cut of your money. Government also wants to control you too!
Prostitution is illegal because the female (State property) is making money (usually for some pimp, who is also State property and a whore himself for the State) without the State's approval or permission and the State is not getting a cut of the money.
The truth of the matter is - the State (government) is the Pimp, the female (all of them) is the Whore, and the male (all of them) are the Trick.
So, there's a very good reason why our names are spelled in all capital letters pertaining to government and business, corporate business. It denotes the person is nothing but a vessel in a maritime-admiralty venue for purposes of making money or commerce:
"An all capitalized name is a vessel upon the high seas in a maritime venue."
U.S. Government Styles Manual, 1984 Edition
A public vessel means the person is the property of the government and used by the government for service, service that makes money for the government.
As U.S. citizens, we are all public vessels and thus property of the U.S. government and pursuant to the Supreme Law of the land the government can get rid of us whenever it pleases and dispose of us by any means it chooses, be it assassination, left behind in a foreign country (POW's), thrown in jail for life, etc.
Malcolm X, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Robert Kennedy, John F. Kennedy, all the people inside the World Trade Center on September 11th, 2001, all the troops in the Vietnam War, etc. were all U.S. citizens and thus disposable.
The U.S. Constitution specifically states in Article 4, Section 3, Article 2: "The Congress shall have Power to dispose of... Property belonging to the United States."
Well, U.S. citizens (people) are property of the United States and by law Congress (U.S. Government) has the power to dispose of all property it owns, including people. That's why P.O.W.'s (prisoners of war) along with airplanes, tanks, and ships were left behind in Vietnam during the Vietnam War. The government was disposing of property.
People are now considered public vessels!
"Public vessel." One owned and used by a nation or government for its public service, whether in its navy, it revenue service, or otherwise."

 Government loves when people become criminals, or when people behave irresponsibly and violate other people and/or their property, when men don't financially provide for their children, when couples divorce, when people neglect to care for their children, when people default in their contractual obligations (i.e. paying taxes, failing to file their tax returns), operating in certain areas and capacities without a license, and other negative, unrighteous, and insalubrious things because it gives government more power to enforce its will over the individual or individuals.
When we don't act and behave judiciously in society, are unable to make good and healthy judgments, and/or incapable of resolving conflicts peacefully, civilly, and amicably we forfeit our innate rights to adjudicate matters on our own as sovereign individuals and therefore have to go before a stranger wearing a black robe (judge) and allow this person to make decisions for us, and many times this stranger makes decisions for us that are not in our best interests and that cause hardship on us; but this is the price we pay for not being righteous, mature, conscious, responsible, accountable, rational, and wise.
We then give a judge power as well as the opportunity to bring in extra revenue for the government. Judges sit on the bench for a very good reason.
Judges sit on the bench, signifying judges are in control of collecting the money or directing the flow of currency into the coffers of the government.
The English word "bank" derives from the Old French and Italian word "banc" and "banca", which mean "bench." Judges collect the money for government via "sitting on the bench [bank]", especially in traffic cases. The English word "currency" denotes "coins, government notes, and bank notes circulating as a medium of exchange: money in circulation."
Banks are called banks for a very good reason. The word "bank" comes from the word "river bank" because the riverbank directed the flow of the current, and we get our word "currency" from the word "current" and it is banks, especially the privately owned Federal Reserve Bank, that directs the flow of U.S. currency.
