When it comes to respiratory diseases and problems, I get very sentimental. As I wrote in the Power of Natural Healing article, I almost died at age 12 from a serious bout of bronchial-asthma. Although I survived this serious episode, I suffered from asthma for the next 14 years of my life. As the years went by, the asthma attacks became less in intensity, severity and occurrence.
When I hear people today tell me or mention in passing that they have bronchitis or asthma, it triggers remembrance of my personal episode and bout with these particular diseases. It also reminds me why I chose to be a good and righteous person all the days of my life as well. I remember vividly when I was hospitalized for the serious bout that compelled my parents to take me to the hospital. I remember being so sick and weak that I couldn't walk. My father had to carry me. While on the way to the hospitals (the first hospital rejected me for reasons I don't remember), I was in the backseat of the car coughing like crazy. Every cough was burning my lungs, which means my lungs were very inflamed.
I remember the following day of being admitted in the hospital hearing the doctor tell my mother that I had bronchial-asthma and that 70% of young children who have this disease succumb to it and that I stood a great chance of dying. I truly believe this episode in my young life played a very pivotal role in my mother's nervous breakdown just a few weeks later.
After hearing of the possibility of death, which I just couldn't imagine as I was so young and I couldn't rationalize why I would die over something that I really didn't perceive so serious. At that age, dying from being sick just didn't register with me. However, back then I believed doctor knew best and bought into this madness. I started crying that night and I remember the firmest prayer a little boy could consciously make to God and started asking God for forgiveness for being bad, especially to my siblings, which was of the nature of pinching them for pulling the bed covers off of me at night, fighting with them, etc., all the innocent things that is just a part of growing up. I promised God that if I was allowed to live I'd be very good in general as a person and that I would be good to my siblings and obey my parents in particular.
The next day, against medical advice, my mother checked me out of the hospital and to this day I truly believe had I stayed in that hospital I would have died. Hospitals always made me feel suffocated, trapped, and imprisoned as a youngster. A lot of my present sentiments and views concerning hospitals were shaped in my youth.
God heard and answered my prayer and the rest is history concerning myself. I have discovered (remembered) my purpose on Earth, a healer, and have never been or felt so elated, content, secure, comfortable, loved, protected, courageous, zealous, and fervent. This is why you constantly hear me say I'm on top of the world! when asked how I'm doing or feeling. Energy follows events and I purposely say the above to affirm this mantra and affirmation which is why I am above the world, all the worldly and mundane things that depress the life or spirit out of the average American. I am in the very early stages of experiencing the Kingdom of God on Earth and there's no turning back now nor would I dare or even consider doing so.
Overcoming my respiratory problem more than eight years ago was a great accomplishment for me. I now know it was only an obstacle placed in my path to be overcome with the result of a stronger faith predicated upon knowledge in God, Nature, and the so-called impossible (which is possible with God as the Scriptures states: With God all things are possible.).
Now, let's dissect the respiratory system so we can get to the root of respiratory problems so we can heal from them.
The respiratory system, actually the respiratory tract, is medically defined as: The complex organs and structures that performs the pulmonary ventilation of the body and the exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide between the ambient air and the blood circulating through the lungs. Every 24 hours about 500 cubic feet of air passes through the respiratory tract of the average adult, who breathes in and out between 12 and 18 times a minute. The respiratory tract is divided into the upper respiratory tract and the lower respiratory tract. SOURCE: Mosby's Medical Dictionary, 3rd ed.
Our lungs were created for the purpose of taking in oxygen and expelling carbon dioxide. Because oxygen is the number one food and fuel for our bodies, the lungs could be said to be the most important organs. However, I don't like to play organ against organ and discriminate against them as all of the organs are important and work in unison with each other.
But look at us and our world today. In our ignorance, lust and greed for money and power, we have destroyed the most precious element needed for optimal human health - oxygen!
This is why Djehuty greatly dislikes cigarette smokers (dragons). Cigarette smokers are foolish. Smoking provides absolutely NO NUTRITION, so the question becomes, what are you smoking for? The result of smoking is poor lung and overall health, premature death (usually via lung cancer), second-hand smoke that kills innocent nonsmoking individuals, and a polluted atmosphere which means lower oxygen levels.
Oxygen levels need to be at 39% for optimal health, but today in the United States, the oxygen level as of the year 2000 was at 19% and was on the decline. Now people, this doesn't make any sense. Why would we pollute and destroy the most precious and vital element needed for our existence?
The cigarette and tobacco industries makes billions of dollars exclusively while the rest of us suffer and die from serious health problems and diseases and this not right or fair. Cigarette smoke (just like car fume and exhaust and other harmful byproducts and industrial chemicals) is blown into the air that all of the human family is dependent upon for optimal health. Who gave the cigarette industry (or any other industry) the right to allow their harmful byproduct to be disposed of in the precious air of our atmosphere?
Malcolm X was so correct in his saying about cigarette smokers: Fire on one end and fool on the other. Another saying states, He who smokes is a walking billboard advertising himself as a fool to the world. It seems all sayings about smoking mentions the word fool.
Now if you're a smoker (dragon), don't feel bad. Yes, my words are harsh and caustic because to me this is a very serious matter and anyone who personally knows me knows that I am a very serious person, and cigarette smoke played a role in my near death as a youth as my parents, mainly my mother, foolishly used to smoke. In her ignorance my own mother was killing her son while bringing profit to the cigarette industry with every purchase of cigarettes from the liquor store.
A sad but true fact to ponder over is that the majority of cigarette smokers yearly income is less than $14,000.00 which means the majority of cigarette smokers (dragons) live well below the national poverty line.
Asthma
Asthma is a pathology of the lungs that causes serious obstruction of the airways. Asthma's major attribute is the asthma attack. During an asthma attack, spasms in the muscles surrounding the bronchi constricts, inhibiting the exhalation of stale air. Asthma attacks are no joke! You are literally starved of air and start wheezing while your chest tightens. Breathing is very difficult. My attacks were so bad tears would fall from my eyes while my chest tightened and I wheezed for air while attempting to get to the refrigerator for a glass of water.
It's amazing how I innately knew even back then that water was what I needed to stop an asthma attack. I later learned that asthma attacks occur when the lungs constrict. The lungs need water so the Body Intelligence causes the lungs to constrict in an attempt to draw water from the tissues of the lungs, but because there is a draught of water in the tissues of the lungs, constriction results resulting in a tightening of the chest.
Asthma inhalers are no good for so-called asthmatics and asthma attacks because they do nothing in the way of helping to eradicate asthma. This is why asthmatics are told by doctors they will have asthma for their entire lifetimes and will be dependent upon inhalers. Inhalers only provide short term relief. Relief never provides or leads to a remedy. It is only radical action that leads to a remedy (eradication).
Mucus plays a pivotal role in asthma. Mucus causes the bronchial tubes to swell and become plugged. The severe burning (especially while and after coughing) is due to the inflammation caused by the mucus in the lungs. This mucus obstructs and irritates the mucous membranes (internal skin) of the lungs. Asthma attacks involve serious coughing. Coughing is a natural body reflex to expel mucus. However, many times in asthmatic cases, there is only coughing and no expectoration of mucus. This is because the mucus is so hardened and stubborn that it cannot be dissolved with the absence of water. Water dissolves mucus. But because the tissues of the lungs have no water in them, the mucus there cannot be dissolved, so the mucus sits in the lungs taking up room that should be for oxygen and simultaneously inflames the lungs causing that burning an asthmatic feels in his/her lungs. Remember, mucus is ACIDIC and acid burns!
Bronchitis
Bronchitis is inflammation of the bronchi tubes. The bronchi are tubes that lead to the lungs. Basically, the bronchi tubes are obstructed with mucus which causes inflammation. Bronchitis also involves serious coughing in an attempt to expel mucus from the bronchi tubes.
Bronchitis can be either acute or chronic. In either case, mucus is the culprit. However, the triggers of bronchial chest spasms in cases of bronchitis may be viral, bacterial, or caused by fumes, especially cigarette smoke. I know for myself in my case of both bronchitis and asthma that cigarette smoke played a major role. My mother and father both greatly smoked in their lifetimes. My father was a heavy smoker for many years but stopped in 1982 when he discovered and fell in love with Mary Jane (marijuana).
My mother on the other hand was a notorious cigarette smoker for many years. I remember her smoking in the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s. In fact, she smoked up until the time of her death, or actually, six months before her death. She would leave trails of smoke throughout the house. Wherever she went, the smoke followed. I remember clouds of smoke in the hallways of our home on 1331 South Towne Avenue in Los Angeles. It was like walking through smog and fog. It was my mother's smoking that made me bounce (leave) from the spot (house) in 1995. I couldn't take it no more. The smoke was greatly irritating my lungs.
Pneumonia
I probably heard the name pneumonia more than any other name or term for a disease while growing up in the 1970s. I can remember vividly my grandmother and uncles warning my cousins and myself to cover up or put on heavy clothes before going out into the cold. Ya'll children better put on a sweater lest ya'll catch pneumonia! Grandma Sis would say.
Pneumonia was associated with the cold with the Cooper family, my paternal side of my family.
What is pneumonia? Pneumonia is an acute infection of the lungs. Pneumonia too is caused by mucus obstruction. When the tiny air sacs of the lungs become filled up with mucus and pus, inflammation results and the medical term is pneumonia. Again, pneumonia is MUCUS obstruction. That's all it is. Coughing is also involved here because the Body Intelligence uses the reflex mechanism in attempt to expel hardened and stubborn mucus.
Emotions and the lungs
I learned via personal research that the lungs are the seat of the emotions. Yes, emotions store in the body's organs and glands. Emotions can be either positive or negative. Positive emotions positively affect the organ or gland whereas negative energy stores in the organ or gland and negatively affect the organ or gland.
Anger stores in the liver. Regret stores in the pancreas. Fear stores in the kidneys. Worry stores in the spleen. Sadness, sorrow, and grief store in the lungs. This is why it is very important to express yourself, to release your emotions. Failure to release your emotions results in repressed emotional responses which is very insalubrious. In many cases, repressed emotional responses are the result of conditioning or programming.
Repressed emotional responses play a most pivotal role in addictions. Most addictions are a subconscious maneuver to fill up a void, usually a spiritual void. Addictions are subconsciously developed in order to escape from things, to blank out from things, to not face things.
Many people develop an alcohol problem due to a subconscious desire to numb anger and other emotions such as hurt. A sense of failure in life, doing unethical things when you know they are unethical, living up to certain expectations set by others, etc. also may lead to a subconscious desire to numb the pain caused by failure and/or unethical actions. You can see this in many judges, attorneys, law enforcement officers, business professionals, professional athletes, and college students.
Many people start smoking in a subconscious attempt to numb various emotions. The menthol in cigarettes calms the lungs and the nervous system. Thank God I have never been addicted to a substance. The greatest remedy or nepenthe for addiction is living your life predicated upon truth. Truth is great for the spirit. Truth feeds and strengthens the spirit. Many religious people also get addicted to substances. Why? Because they don't live their lives predicated upon truth. It's one thing to talk Jesus, Yahweh or Allah, and another thing to walk Jesus, Yahweh or Allah. Talking God won't get the job done. You must live God in order to get the job done. Truth and walking God prevents spiritual voids. They keep the heart overflowing with joy, happiness, peace, tranquility, courage, and love.
Many people who feel God has abandoned them will also turn to substance abuse to numb the sense of hurt, pain, apathy, and let down.
Diet
Poor diet is the greatest physical cause of lungs and respiratory diseases. Poor diet helps to manifest lungs and respiratory disorders caused by emotions and attitudes.
The worst thing a person affected with a lung disorder could eat is dairy. Yes, liquefied cow snot and pus that is called dairy and includes cheese, milk, sour cream, ice cream, yogurt and butter. Dairy is greatly mucus forming. People battling respiratory illnesses should remove all dairy products from their diet if they want to live and have good health. Let's not forget that dairy breaks down into LACTIC ACID which creates mucus, especially in the lungs where a person's emotional disease may originate.
Next on the list of prohibited substances is meat, slaughtered animal flesh that you have been conditioned to call meat. Meat was originally the flesh of fruit and was known as food (read Genesis 1:29). But man set himself up as a god besides God and labeled the dead flesh of slaughtered animals as meat. Meat breaks down into URIC ACID which creates mucus. All meats should be eliminated from the diet if you have made up your mind to heal from a respiratory pathology. Animals don't develop asthma, bronchitis or pneumonia because they don't eat COOKED meat (animal flesh).
Refined grains are a no go if you are battling a condition of the lungs. Refined, processed grains convert into glue inside the stomach and also break down in to mucus. No matter how good them Krispy Casket Creme donuts, car anti-freeze laced super casket (super market) cakes and other sweets may be, they ultimately break down into a gooey gob of thick and sticky mucus and saturate in the lungs causing serious impairment.
Starches too, the refined and processed ones, also break down into acid, CARBONIC ACID, and cause excess mucus production that may saturate in the lungs and other parts of the respiratory tract.
Any and all acidic beverages should be avoided by all means if you are plagued with a respiratory challenge. Acidic beverages cause excess mucus buildup in the body. Acid-forming beverages include beer, wine, champagne and all other spirits; soda pop, milk, hot cocoa, hot chocolate, coffee; lattes, chocolate milk, butter milk; commercial tea beverages (Snapple); egg nog, Fool Aid (opps, I mean Kool Aid); commercial orange juice, punch (Hawaiian Punch); commercial brand lemonade, and energy beverages (Red Bull, Gatorade) to name a few.
Social activist Dick Gregory revealed many years ago why so many young inner city African American youth, especially males, suffer from asthma. Asthma is highest in cities compared to the country because there is so much asphalt in the city. In addition to residing in the concrete jungle, many of these youth drink more soda pop beverage than water. When my friends and I used to ball (play basketball) at 107th Street Elementary School, our beverage of choice to quench our thirst was soda pop. I don't remember anybody drinking water when soda was available which was almost all the time, especially since V-Market, our corner liquor store (which all Black communities across America have) was right down the street. While we didn't have bottled water in South Central Los Angeles liquor stores back in the very early 1980s, we did have water fountains and it was only the folks who didn't have money to buy a can of soda who drank from the water fountain. Water was the exception to the rule of thirst.
It was also reported on a health show that aired on Pacifica Radio's KPFK radio station here in Los Angeles that youth in Los Angeles have more cases of asthma than the youth of any other city in America.
One of the best places to go to help eradicate respiratory illnesses and challenges is the state of Arizona. Arizona contains many pine trees. Pine trees (as well as Eucalyptus trees) greatly help to improve breathing conditions. I love traveling to Arizona, especially Sedona and Lake Havasu. Arizona has great healing energy and Sedona is a primary energy vortex center on the earth. The Honorable Elijah Muhammad, Leader of the Nation of Islam prior to Minister Louis Farrakhan, purchased a home in Phoenix, Arizona for purposes of healing his health conditions, particularly his bronchitis. Although Muhammad did not completely change his diet, the healing ambiance of Arizona made a difference in his health.
Any country area that is laced with trees is great for healing respiratory problems like asthma and bronchitis. Remember, trees help us by converting carbon monoxide into oxygen, the fuel of life. This is why it's a shame today that we are cutting down so many trees to make room for cows to graze on so that they can be fattened and ultimately killed (slaughtered) so as to end up in the middle of a hamburger bun purchased from the local burger joint.
The same madness pertains to the wasteful process of cutting down spruce trees for Christmas. What does a Christmas tree have to do with Jesus Christ and his alleged birthday of December 25th?
Healing Respiratory Problems
A high alkaline diet consisting of plenty of raw and organic fruits and vegetables that spectrally contain the colors of the rainbow which are the colors of the human chakras will improve all respiratory problems as alkalinity counteracts acidity. To eat raw and organic fruits and vegetables is to eat Light food, food with radiance (bio-electromagnetism). Green foods are high in alkalinity and also contain chlorophyll (liquid sunlight) and will greatly dissolve mucus throughout the body in general and the lungs and respiratory tract in particular.
Drinking alkaline water will greatly help in eradicating respiratory diseases. Alkaline water is highly alkaline and therefore counteracts acidity. This water greatly helps to dissolve mucus so that mucus can be expectorated from the body. It is very important to drink a lot of water period, but especially so if you suffer from bronchitis or asthma.
Conscious breathing which utilizes deep breathing is superb for counteracting respiratory illnesses. Deep breathing exercises will help to strengthen and revivify the lungs. It will also help to dissolve hardened mucus in the lungs, sinus cavities and nostrils. Conscious breathing exercises or yoga is highly ideal for overall respiratory health.
There are a plethora of potent and effective herbs that are great for the lungs and the respiratory system. These herbs include pulmonary, expectorant and demulcent herbs and include Mullein (leaf/flowers), Lobelia, Fenugreek, Coltsfoot, Boneset, Comfrey, Marshmallow (Althea), Licorice, Pleurisy, Slippery Elm bark, White Pine Bark, Hyssop, Eucalyptus, Yerba Santa, Elecampane, Ground Ivy, and Horehound. It's really unfortunate that your Rulers (federal government) have banned Cannabis because Cannabis is a great herb for all respiratory problems, taken in tea or tincture (liquid extract) form of course. I don't endorse smoking Cannabis for any reason(s).
Essential oils are also effective for respiratory health and healing. Oils such as Eucalyptus, Pine Bark, Inula, Cajeput, Hyssop, Wintergreen, Peppermint, Spruce, White camphor, and Spearmint can be added to a diffuser or bath water. Inhaling the vaporized molecules of these oils in the air or hot water steam of a bath will dissolve hardened mucus, open nasal passages, and clear sinus and lung congestion. Some of these oils such as Eucalyptus and Peppermint can be rubbed in to the chest area (on top of a carrier oil) before bed which will greatly help to do the things mentioned above.
Crystals such as Angelite, Pink Tourmaline, Aventurine, Blue Chalcedony, Emerald, Iron Pyrite, Amethyst, Peridot, Chrysocolla, Pietersite, Rose Quartz, and Prehnite help in healing all lung disorders. They can be placed directly on the Fourth Chakra (located at the thymus gland) situated between the chest area or added to drinking water.
The following DHERBS products are useful in healing lung and respiratory disorders and diseases: Mucus Buster Formula, Lungs and Respiratory Formula, Sinus Formula, and Electric Greens Cell Food.
Last but not least, inspiration is probably the most potent natural and effective healer of all respiratory disorders and problems. When I healed myself of bronchial-asthma with herbs, I developed a profound inspiration for life that allowed me to heal on all levels of existence. I am on top of the world because I have extreme inspiration, the act or process of taking in spirit, God's spirit, the true breath of life.
If you have asthma or bronchitis, I am sorry to inform you that you have the disease by choice. You have subconsciously chosen, predicated upon ignorance and fear, to have or be inflicted with the disease and to keep the disease. If you claim a thing (I have bronchitis! I'm asthmatic!), then you ARE the thing!
Healing begins where disease first manifests - the MIND! Free your mind and free yourself from disease. You have the power to do so! Trust in God and yourself and GET FREE from disease!
Don't let no jive time medical doctor tell you that you cannot cure or heal yourself from a so-called incurable disease such as asthma or bronchitis. Remember, with God ALL things are possible!
