Shadow Self and The Power of the Individual

*Written by me

The Shadow, is a psychological term (re) introduced by the late Swiss psychiatrist, Dr. Carl G. Jung to describe an exteremely important part of the human individual. It is everything in us that is unconscious, repressed, undeveloped, denied and rejected. These are dark (unknown) rejected aspects of our being, so there is positive undeveloped potential in the Shadow that we don’t know about because anything that is unconscious, we don’t know about. Embracing this part of the self and bringing it into the light was known to be one of the most powerful transformations known to man. This is represented by the heroic tales of the hero going through the Underworld and coming out polished and very powerful. This site is also played out in the stellar representation as the sun travelling through throught the dark sky.

The shadow is described as "hidden or unconscious aspects of oneself, both good and bad, which the ego has either repressed or never realized. Rejected aspects of ourselves also undeveloped potential".

The Shadow is the entity created in our psyche when we attempt to separate good from evil. It is literally the embodiment of all the impulses and qualities we have thrust into the unconscious because the Ego or human personality finds them unacceptable. It is all that we are that we feel we should not be - sexual, angry, hostile, vulnerable, masochistic, self-hating, guilty, weak, etc. For men, showing compassion and emotion may be included, if these things are not acceptable to express in your family or culture. Social ideas, such as stereotypes about physical appearance, life roles of men and women, and sexual and racial prejudices reside here. Shadow also includes positive traits that you may have denied, such as power, justice, sexuality and creativity, as well as interest in and desire to practice shamanism, paganism, magick, etc. Anything you, your family, or society (consensus reality) deems as "forbidden" or "sinful" may be found in your Shadow Self. These things are not "evil", they simply are not perceived as being "acceptable" - again by "consensus reality". Each time we allow our thoughts to dwell upon strong, negative feelings, we add to the strength of our Shadow Self. In its mildest aspect, it is that part of us that we are uncomfortable accepting and hope that no one else sees. Its like when you open a door and a nigga is in their dancing with draws on and a Scooby Doo shirt to some Tim Mcgraw, when he is supposed to be a Black Panther.

The shadow self is that monster under the bed, the big sublime beast that chases you in your dreams, the big black being that whoops that ass in nightmares. All these things are only symbols, the mind trying to communicate with the individual. In this century and centuries past, or the days of old, this phenomena has gotten quite out of control. This is why we have a bunch of people that are out of their damn minds, they have failed to really address themselves and come to part with what their own self was telling them. Instead they listen to the dumb ass members of society who wish only to have them live under their concocted paradigm and not live life as a free thinking free acting individual. You see these people who completely falter to this begging for money and talking to a person that you cannot see or shacked up in a "crazy house". (Doesn't mean that person doesn't exist somewhere)

The shadow self is not concerned with anything that society has to say about life, or anything mundane dealing with wordly things. It is connected to the soul and higher planes of existence. This part of the mind cannot be controlled or subdued by morals, laws, opinions, traditions, culture, mores anything, in fact I have found that this aspect of one's self hates these things. It wants to break free from all that shit, as those things are connected to mental, physical, and spiritual slavery. In mythology, the shadow self is represented by "evil" creatures such as Satan, Shaitan, the Djinn, sea monsters, and other "selfish" characters who broke free of a controlling entity. These creatures are in no shape or form disconnected or external (outside) to the human individual, these forces exist within us. They also are in no way shape or form "evil", but something powerful and fearful to most. This concept is fearful because it deals with the darker more unknown aspects of the mind. Its like niggas being afraid of the dark. Why is that? This is why you always hear mostly girls talking about "creeps" and "scary niggas" or strangers that follow them around. Not to say they don't exist (weird creepy ass niggas), but again some of this stems from them being told as children to fear strangers, which in turn results in a deep fascination with them in the unconscious mind, thus attracting situations such as that. Like it was said, "people are afraid of what they can't conquer".

The unknown is the most scary shit in someones life, but it is also the most powerful. Why? Because the shadow self is connected to the subconscious mind. The most powerful force in the damn universe. The subconscious mind is responsible for all the situations that come into this reality. It is limitless and not constrained by illusionary chains and limits. If anyone knows anything about the magickal concept of chaos, then its manners are chaotic. The guardians over the subconscious mind are these shadow beings that appear as monsters to the spiritual person who navigates these avenues during meditation or psychedelic drug use. They only appear as monsters because the neophyte is not ready to embrace that part of themselves, its like when someone is a little kid and they think so and so is the biggest most baddest nigga on the planet, only to realize later on in life that he is (has grown to be) bigger and stronger then this person. Again in mythology, high science of the ancients, people like Anubis and other "gatekeepers" and "watchers" are the keepers over this part of the self. The average mind can't control this aspect of the self, that is why most don't control their lives, but are constantly being controlled by the ruler, elite occultists that run the world (Skull and Bones, Illuminati, elite Jews, etc), and the gods/archons these European anarchists give praise to.

From this confusion you get terms that are so called evil, but are only referring to one's own self. In the origins of the word Satan, I quote the Gnostic occultist Kenneth Grant, the succesor to Aleister Crowley "the name derives from African roots, "sut" meaning "black", and "an", a dog, "jackal" (and where the type is registered farther north, a wolf)... Set-An, or Set-Anubis, was the earliest form of Set-Horus, the god of the Double Star, Sothis or Sirius, the Dog-Star".

I quote a brother:

"Satan, was the most beautiful thing in heaven, he fell from grace or glory. He now sits on the thrown in hell to rule over evil. That's 100% true, but the missing understanding is this, you're Satan! Your soul was the most beautiful thing in heaven, your soul is light, Satan is the bright morning star, the morning star is the Sun or light, which rises in the morning.  Satan is the sun, and Satan is Jesus, the light of the world, what's the light of the world? The sun, ok, so Satan and Jesus is the same thing, Satan Rules over evil, he rules over the flesh, your flesh is evil, SIN=SKIN. Your soul or light the most beautiful thing in the heavens is trapped in hell, your body or earth or Asiyyah or Assiah, the lowest of the four Kabbalahistic world again reference to earth being hell. The Titians thrown in the underworld, the Titians were dark, Cronos is also a version of Satan which he is father time or death, earth  has you trapped in the circles of time and in the flesh=death.

The first thing you must realize to get out of this hell that you're in is to understand you're the devil. If you went to an alcoholic anonymous meeting the first thing I have to say is "Hi, My name is such and such and I'm an alcoholic." This would be the beginning of your recovering. To recover from your fall, the first thing you have to realize is YOU THE DEVIL. Christians going to see their sweet Jesus each Sunday gets no where because they skipped the main part, you don't get light from light, out of darkness CAME LIGHT. To transform you MUST deal with the dark side first to walk in a new light and for lack of an easier description, become Jesus. So the devil and Jesus are the same thing just different polarities of light.  Jesus on earth is Satan; Satan in heaven is Jesus and you all that shit as a concept. This is why Heru fights Set, nothing but one of the first stories of Heru (Jesus) fighting Set or Sut Typhoon or Satan. This is what we have as a concept for transformation your soul back to the light of the higher self. Not a story of two people having a real fight."

Keep in mind also that Satan in hell also represents the powerful kundalini serpent that sits in the base of the spine waiting to be raised through the seven chakras. This is all esoteric information.

The word demon, comes from the greek term daemon which refers to your higher self, thus the soul. To the ancient Greeks daimons were intermediary spirits between human beings and the gods, acting as spiritual advisors (this would be your soul, pineal, melanin), and were not necessarily evil: literately daimon means divine power, fate, or god"

Now this is why shamanic naturopathic healing will always be the most potent on this earth, as they deal with the mind primarily, then with the physical. They are the master psychologists, herbalist wrapped in one. To be blatent healing the mind will heal all diseases, as the mind has the power to heal everything if used correctly. This is why people that are put under hypnosis are able to heal from deadly disease without any kind of medicine or even natural herbs. This is where you get the concept of faith healers, or people believing the touch from Pastor Take my Money All Away or Benny Hinn will heal them. The power is all in the mind, more specificially the subconscious mind.

I'll say that I have learned from personal experiences and studies that more than 90% of diseases are primarily psychological, psychosomatic or deal heavily with the psyche, or the mind. In the metaphysical community it is taught that our thoughts create our reality, that every thought and idea within our mind shape every event we experience. What they don't tell us is that there is not just "thoughts" in your conscious mind, but also things buried DEEP within the unconscious, subconscious mind. You can say all day that your thoughts create your reality, but it doesn't mean shit if you haven't dealt with your darkside and the power side of your being. The unknown parts of the mind are the main parts creating your reality. Yogis that live deep within the mountains are able to think things into physical existence because they have mastered the aspects of the mind. In KMT and other parts of Africa, this was one of the main rites, as they knew that to "Know Thyself" was to know the Universe, and ultimately have power of their being.

The voice of the Akashic Record says: "Learn the Laws, Know the Laws and Master the Laws - He who Learn the Laws, Know the Laws and Master the Laws masters the Universe."

As the man fuses with his darkside, he wears the royal crown of chaos, limitless power. We as people hold a mind that is a locked box of treasure, you are the key.

I was asked how one is able to actually tap into this aspect of themselves, so I wanted to give some practical things to get into, which I have been taught, and am involving myself in now

1) Deep Breathing/Alternate Nostril Breathing/ Other Breathing Techniques (Check out the Medu Neter Vol 1, and The Science of Breath)
- Deep breathing brings subconscious emotions, conflicts, etc to the forefront, in a way helping to align the subconscious and conscious mind
2) Deep meditation
3) Rituals dealing with the subconscious utilizing sigils amongst other things
4) Any kind of transcendantal meditative states, using music, etc. I was told drums are especially good, and this is the reason African cultures (amongst others) used and invented the practice. I was told to listen for the break in between the beat which will put one into a trance state.
5) Mantras
6) Dancing
7) Crystal meditation/Chakra Balancing

There is much more, but as a student, I am still learning and being taught and guided. Djehuty, Sun God, and others, do you have any methods to add on? I'm sure you all have more than I do..

And no lol, I'm not fourteen, I just turned 19.
