i saw the movie poster for this while at the theater and thought of this thread. the trailer looks like it should be a visual feast!

kind of wondering why they went with that story line >> folks want what certain folks have and they go in and plot to take it. i mean, come on now. destroying lives for a rock?

i'll be on the lookout for this around my way though. thanks!

The rock is the philosophers stone aka melanin aka the alchemists gold aka crystallized melanin. AKA rights to god(dess)hood.

Its some deep stuff...
The indigenous population is a symbol in reference to the original peoples of Earth aka black people
The humans are invaders... symbols for mal systems and institutions such as white supremacy,
The indigenous peoples are blue which corresponds to the fifth chackra of communication (somebody tryna tell us something)

interesting views re: the trailer. we'll see what else is revealed once its released in december.

oh yeah, your interpretation regarding the original people seems familiar. it seems like people who study certain concepts usually view certain movies as messages/statements about black folks.

Same old Hollywood Honky Hype!

"See a native, take his land!"

They even called them savages! They don't even hide the shit no more!

Hope there's a Nat Turner-like character in the flick.

notice how they invade through the woman

in re interpretation really? you mean you heard this before?

Wouldn't be surprised.

They movie producers are very blatant with it though this time saying things like indigenous population and invading them to steal their planet for a rock. not really too much of interpreting as much as repeating what they say.

All the subliminals symbols archetypes storyline it is a reoccurring theme in these movies most of it taken right out of ancient texts that I've read. Not to mention most of these artworks are actually transmisions from higher realms like every other thought form. And considering what time it is...

I know rght?

I don't think that that's even interpreting anymore its just saying whats there.

If you watch the preview its more like a John Brown_ Nat Turner Hybrid.
Hype?
they had a whole football or baseball (one of dem) stadium full of people just to watch the preview (less than 10 min) Roll Eyes Huh Huh

They certainly got me Cheesy
something about the way the crippled human uses an alien human hybrid to walk again by interfacing through a mental link and consciously inhabiting a physical body with the mind... It's too telling

Most movies act as social commentary.
Many movie producers consult psychologists or studied psychology in school and so are drawing on many of the symbols taken from studies of the "collective unconscious" thanks to works by Freud Jung Campbell etc etc etc. these symbols are of course children of the Original man and his children.

So I wouldn't be surprised  if others recognized the patterns trends and parallels as they connect to current events and historical happenings as well as studies of metaphysical subjects or quantum sciences. Where the synchronicities are slapping you in the face.
On top of that these scripts are transmissions from higher realms like all other thought forms and so metaphysically speaking considering what time it is... cosmic far out entities are reaching out these days. Well they always have been but now its more recognized and popular.

When I watch movies I look for symbols, scientific concepts, archetypes, metaphysical sciences etc etc etc
Also to be totally clear black in this case refers to the true blackness. Black as in the primordial essence i.e. spirit that moved upon the face of the waters. The people are those that recognize this essence in themselves. Black people in this case refers to the people who recognize the black essence within themselves.

I can't wait to see this one, and the other avatar too. Blue people, reminds me of a book I had recently picked up about these so called ancient Blue people in the Amazon, maybe this is where the concept came from?

This is what director James Cameron had to say about his controversial film Avatar on the Tavis Smiley Show.

IMO The movie was very cliche indeed. But I recommend everyone go and see the movie. It is still a storyline though we have heard it a dozen times before. If anything at all the visuals are great.

I'm about to go see this today.
It's pretty obvious though.
Same thing ran through my head when I saw District 9.
