Pre-cancerous cells are most commonly referred to regarding abnormal conditions in cell tissue or organ tissue.

The type of pre-cancerous cells getting the most PR have to do with cervical cancer associated with the Human papilloma virus (HPV). They are usually detected in a women’s annual gynecologic pap smear or HPV test. While HPV can be passed from sexual acts, pre-cancers can not.

Pre-cancerous cells can also be detected for skin cancer, breast cancer, esophageal cancer and colon cancer.

If you are diagnosed with pre-cancerous cells, it means that you have a chance to stop the condition from evolving into cancer. It’s not a cure, but an opportunity for treatment and healing.

Start thinking in terms of healthy cells and unhealthy cells and if unhealthy cells stay unhealthy for too long, then they will become cancerous in nature.
