Pineapple Pesticide Linked to Parkinson’s Disease

Pineapple Pesticide Linked to Parkinson’s Disease

The pineapple pesticide made its way into milk in Hawaii and then into men’s brains. A study is the latest to link pesticides to Parkinson’s.

A common misconception is that foods with tough skins are protected from pesticides. They aren’t. In fact, foods with tough skins are more likely to rely on their root system to absorb nutrients and water, which means pesticides get drawn into the whole system.

In light of yet another study indicating that pesticides cause disease, please consider buying organic. Although a bit more expensive, buying organic is an investment into your life, your health and that of your family. You can’t get organic popcorn at the movies and there’s no such thing as organic McDonald’s, so at least while you’re cooking in the home, you can enjoy the benefits of untainted food.
