Avocado and Veggie Spring Rolls

These really surprised me. I wasn’t sure how good they would be (I’ve never made spring rolls before), but they were delicious. My brother really loved them – and he can be picky, so I always feel accomplished when he goes back for thirds and fourths!!

AVOCADO AND VEGGIE SPRING ROLLS [VEGAN]

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cups shredded cabbage
  • 1/2 cup shredded carrots
  • 1/2 cup chopped bok choy
  • 2 stalks celery, chopped
  • 1/2 vidalia onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup sesame oil
  • 3 tbs rice vinegar
  • 3 tbs soy sauce (more or less, your preference)
  • A dash of chili powder, garlic powder, salt, and red pepper flakes
  • 1 avocado, sliced thin
  • Vegan spring roll wraps

PREPARATION

  • Add all your prepped veggies to a pan with your sesame oil. Sauté away over medium heat, until cooked and tender.
  • Add your rice vinegar, soy sauce, and seasonings. Take off heat and set aside.
  • Spring roll wrapping can be a little tedious, but I promise you get the hang of it quickly. Take a spring roll and place in a large bowl of room temp water for about 10-15 seconds (until pliable). Place on a damped towel, add your veggies, layer some avocado, fold up side, and roll up. They should have instructions on the package, too!
  • Add your rolls to a lined baking sheet, greased with cooking spray.
  • Bake spring rolls for 15 minutes, then turn over, then another 15. If you want them really crispy, you may need more time. Use your best judgement, of course.

    Q: Hello, this is my 2nd time doing the full body cleanse. I did it last year so now I'm doing it again. I started on Monday 3/9 and since have lost 5 lbs. Is that normal? Also why do you recommend Distilled water and not Spring and/or filtered (Brita). I have always drank a lot of water but roughly how many times a day should I urinate and how many times a day should I make a BM?     A: Everyone's body is different and responds to the regimen differently. Losing 5 pounds in days is okay. Distilled water is the best type of water that helps to detox the body. You should be drinking half your body weight in water. Anything you put into your body you can expect it to come out.     Q: It's been 2 weeks now since, I started eating exclusively raw. I'm even baking whole wheat bread in the sun. This was a great substitute for the cooked rice I used to eat. I'm also eating quite a large amount of grapes (red and white), as my body seems to ask for it.     Q: I'm a so-called diabetic, is it really okay to sweeten the tea with honey or maple syrup (these are no no's in the medical field!)?     Q: I just finished your FULL BODY DETOX and ANTI-VIRAL CLEANSE AND REGIMEN). I do feel much better however I am still having a constant discharge from my penis foreskin. Dr's who have looked at it say it is not herpes but if not then what? It has discharged since mid November and has not stopped. There is no pain associated with it directly but whenever a get tingling in my feet it feels that that as is the source of the problem. Someone told me they had tingling because of acidic body but then what about this discharge? Is it an infection?     Eating hot peppers has its benefits but excess consumption may eventually cause harm. It boils down to how often and how much of them you are eating. Organic doesn't make a thing necessarily good to eat. Organic peanut butter is better than regular or inorganic peanut butter but peanut butter is peanut butter and thus hard on the digestive process.

    Q: I've been a vegan for 2 years now. I've done the FBD 3 times in these two years, but my urine is still yellow. The only time it is clear is immediately after I drink water (reverse osmosis water). If I miss a day of drinking water, my urine goes back to being dark yellow. Does this mean that my body is still very toxic? Also, is it normal to release urine 5 to 15 minutes after drinking liquids? I would think that water would need to stay in the body for awhile for proper hydration and cleansing.

    From what you wrote I would suggest you start drinking alkaline water (purchase an alkaline water machine, you can find various brands in our e-book "Alternative Diet and Lifestyle Manual"). If you are urinating within 10-15 minutes of drinking water you are not absorbing the water, and thus you require micro-clustered water which an alkaline (and ionizing) water machine does.
