Chai Oatcakes For One

These oatcakes are wonderful. It is incredible how well zucchini fluffs up oatcakes. So thick and fluffy! This chai recipe is my favorite. The punch of the chai spices were perfect for these oatcakes, and a drizzle of maple syrup on top was all it needed to taste like a million dollars. (What a stupid simile. I bet a million dollars tastes pretty dirty and bland.)

CHAI OATCAKES FOR ONE [VEGAN, GLUTEN-FREE]

SERVES

1

INGREDIENTS

  • 1/4 cup non dairy milk of choice
  • 1/4 tsp apple cider vinegar, or lemon juice
  • 2/3 cup rolled or quick oats
  • 1/2 cup’s worth of zucchini, preferably peeled
  • 2 tsp maple syrup
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp cardamom
  • 1/8 tsp ginger
  • pinch of cloves
  • rounded 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • pinch of salt

PREPARATION

  1. Combine milk and vinegar in a small bowl or cup and let sit for ten minutes.
  2. Put all pancake ingredients (including milk-vinegar mixture) in a blender or food processor and blend until smooth. Add extra liquid if necessary (just a tsp or so at a time). It should have the consistency of paint. :)
  3. Heat a griddle pan over medium low heat.
  4. When griddle pan is ready, spray with nonstick cooking spray (it only needs a little bit!), and use a large spoon or a small scoop to pour pancakes onto the griddle. I made small pancakes, so I used a large soup spoon, and it worked perfectly. Generally, don’t go any bigger than 1/4 a cup, but I find that too big still.
  5. When bubbles have formed at the top of the pancake, flip over and cook for another minute. Repeat until all the batter has been used!
  6. Serve with syrup, fresh fruit, pecans or other nuts, coconut, nondairy yogurt, and/or coconut whipped cream!

Q: I was wondering if it is okay to mix Mrs. Dash season blend with Olive Oil as a dressing for my salad? It tastes real bad with just Olive Oil alone, and I don't like the bitterness taste of lemon juice, and apple vinegar cider. Plus, what would you recommend for toppings to make the salad more interesting? Can I put olives, and cucumbers, etc.?

    A:

Do as you please as far as dressing goes! Just stay away from harmful ingredients! Mrs. Dash, seasonings, Olive Oil,

Q: I was reading your article about vinegar being harmful to the body because of its acids and I was curious to know what you think of the Organic unpasturized, unfiltered apple cider vinegar with mother? I saw that at the end of the article it stated that "if you must" use vinegar to use the organic apple cider vinegar but, I have read many places that it has many health benefits such as reducing bad cholesterol, regulating blood pressure, eliminating toxic waste from the body, fighting fungal and bacterial infections, helping relieve joint pains, breaking down fat which helps in natural weight reduction.

    A:

I approve of apple cider vinegar for health purposes. Some good stuff!

Q: Members of my house have started drinking Hemp Milk and Rice Milk. No more Cow Milk! We like the taste of both. I also like the fact that the hemp milk has omega and other nutrients in it. However, my son is three years old and we have discovered he is allergic to nuts because a family member gave him a cashew to eat, then his eyes began to swell up like Garfield the cat. I had him tested for food allergies and the test revealed he is allergic to nuts and soy. So I don't give him any nut products or soy products. My question for you is: "Is hemp a nut or a seed, is the hemp milk derived from a nut or a seed???" I need to know other alternatives if in fact it is a nut. I do not want to give him something toxic to him.

    A:

Hemp is a seed, not a nut, so hemp seed milk is okay for him.

    Nuts cashews - peanuts, soy

    Grains - rice, oats

Fruit - almond, coconut, banana, date

Q: I see also that you recommend a complete diet with these programs. I am guessing its a vegan diet right? I wanted to ask something on that is coconut milk and coconut oils ok for that? I personally had a very hard time trying to eat that many vegetables and many ph balance vegans seem to think fruits aren?t good either. I eat that many vegetables one it tears me up the next day and two I just cant consume enough calories that way. I can try and make up for it by eating things like almonds but I eat to many almonds I get the same problem the next day. Now coconut milk (unsweetened) and a digestive enzyme works for me for picking up extra calories.... but I hear very conflicting information about coconut and its saturated fat content. Is it ok to use daily as a part of the diet for cleansing? And your oxy-drops are those the same as the drop for ph balancing water?? Or is it something different? I am wanting to start lifting weights as I need to put on some muscle and I?m wondering if its something that would be beneficial in combating muscle soreness by increased oxygen in the body.

    A:

The diet we recommend is vegan-based, and RAW FOODS. Fresh fruits, vegetables, raw nuts and seeds are ideal.

Coconut Milk and Coconut Oil are excellent products to have in your diet. The healthy fats will keep you fuller.

Oxy-Drops can help balance your electrolytes that need to be replenished after a workout in order to keep your body performing efficiently.

Q: I purchased the children's detox and received it a couple of days ago. After reading the pamphlet that came with it, I was wondering where/what kind of milk can I purchase for my baby while she is on the detox? For example it said almond, soy, rice milk... can I buy the regular boxed almond, soy, rice milk? Or if I am going to use coconut milk, can I use the canned coconut milk?

    A:

Yes, you can use almond, coconut, or any other nut milk. We do not reccomend soy.

Q: I just ordered the FULL BODY DETOX and I know there's a dietary regimen that I will have to follow. I was wondering if you would approve of a protein shake that consist of (raw hemp protein powder, raw almond butter, sea salt, flax seed, 100% young coconut water & meat inside the coconut, raw carob powder,) (optional soy or rice milk or soy or rice cream)

    A:

Doesn't sound like it will mess up your FULL BODY DETOX. Go for it! But leave out the rice/soy cream! The rice milk is okay (but it is processed/cooked)!

Q: I started the full body detox today, and found that I DO NOT like the salad dressing I made with the olive oil, apple cider vinegar and lemon juice. I found I could not tolerate it on my salad. What can I do instead? Another question is... I noticed lentils on the food combining chart. Those have to be cooked. Are those actually allowed to be consumed warm? I love the raw fruits and vegetables. I don?t have a problem, cause I love salads. I just need help on what I can have on it.

    A:

Check out our website for raw salad dressing recipes. You are bound to find one you like.

As for lentils, you are NOT allowed to have them while on the cleanse.

Q: It's been 2 weeks now since, I started eating exclusively raw. I'm even baking whole wheat bread in the sun. This was a great substitute for the cooked rice I used to eat. I'm also eating quite a large amount of grapes (red and white), as my body seems to ask for it. But recently, I noticed that my heart is beating quite strongly, and I find difficulty to bear the hot weather as a consequence. Also, I noticed a white pimple on the tip of my tongue, and this was a confirmation that there was maybe too much stimulating energy in the heart (according to oriental diagnosis of the tongue). When I eat sun baked bread, I automatically feel heat in the body. So I'm wondering if this is a good food to continue with or not. Isn't it more "neutral" (in terms of energy) to include a small portion of cooked brown rice along with the raw regimen? Just want remind you of my health issue: HPV and bacteria in the urinary tract.

    A:

Greetings! No need to feel helpless. Feeling is very powerful and you will attract more of what you are feeling if you don't control your feeling. Please consider ordering and READING (digesting) our "Mental Science Manual" and "The Love Manual" e-books. If you had sex with the guy who cheated on you, you ignited stored residual feelings from the initial violation of your trust. Forgive yourself (and him) and move on. Okay, as far as the sun baked bread, LISTEN to your body. If you're feeling heat, it's stimulating. Cut back on eating this bread. Go back to a little brown or wild rice (very balancing). Q: Thanks for your article about vinegar. I was just going to use it regularly with honey. Can you use it on your skin though? I was wondering if the acidity would be good for wrinkles or acne.

    A:

Glad you enjoyed the "Vinegar" article. I don't recommend vinegar on the skin. However, a little inn bath water won't hurt (say about half a cup). I recommend Oz-Oil for the skin. Oxygen is what the skin needs.

Q: Good Morning, hope all is well. My 11 yr. old son has a serious problem! The skin between his toes on both feet are peeling, and he has sores. The rest of his feet look fine. Also, on his arms & legs he has black spots. As if he had a mosquito bite, and scratched it. But that's not the case. What is this? I've tried tea tree oil, apple cider vinegar, and a cream from our local herb store for his feet. To this day nothing has helped. I don't give him meds from our so-called doctors. However, I am considering taking him to get a diagnosis. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated! Thanking you in advance and have a wonderful day!

    A:

Please read the article on our site entitled "Skin Disorder = Blood Disorder" as your son is dealing with a blood disorder. Let his feet breathe which can be done by allowing him to wear sandals, or open air shoes. Allow him to soak his feet in warm water with about half a cup of sea salt, and 1 ounce of hydrogen peroxide (for about 30 minutes). After the soak, rub his feet down and in-between his toes with our Healing Skin Oil. Perform daily! Consider having the child completing the Children's Liquid Cleanse.

Q: I'm a so-called diabetic, is it really okay to sweeten the tea with honey or maple syrup (these are no no's in the medical field!)? I'm not the best at swallowing pills-can I take the herbs out of the capsule and take it? I know this one sounds crazy, but I'm 32 and over a period of time, I have developed or formed rolls or dents on certain areas of my scalp. I guess it's hereditary-my father has them as well. I hate it! It's an eyesore to me. Is there anything natural for this? Lastly, could you say a prayer for me so that I may make a few wholesale deals (real estate) this month? I’m trying to create streams of income so that I may parolee' these monies into other things (i.e. health, prosperity, testimony to others).

    A:

I DON'T RECOMMEND HONEY. BUT MAPLE SYRUP IS OKAY. STEVIA IS EVEN BETTER! YOU SURE CAN! JUST WORK AT CONSTANTLY CLEANSING YOUR BODY, CHANGING YOUR DIET AND VISUALIZING HOW YOU DESIRE YOUR HEAD/BODY TO BE/APPEAR. SURE, I WILL SEND ENERGY YOUR WAY, BELOVED!

Q: Hello I am on day TWO of 10-DAY SUPREME COLON CLEANSE;. May I eat a half cup rolled organic rolled oats a day. I eat the oats to provide fuel just before my two hour core ,spinning and rowing class. May I continue to drink Ivy's drink ? It's 1 tablespoon of Spirulina Powder, 2 tablespoons Psyllium Husk , 2 tablespoons Aloe Vera 1/4 cup of apple juice and 2 tablets of 450 mg Cascara Sagrada ? Look forward to your response.

    A:

You are free to eat as you please via free will. But we suggest the eating recommendations for a reason. The oats are okay (except they create mucus) and the Ivy's Drink is okay (nothing adverse to the cleanse)and sounds like a pretty healthy tonic.

Q: The reason I have chronic constipation is not because of diet, I eat very healthy, it is because of pain medication (narcotics), that I have to take to be able to stand the excruciating pain I am suffering from 5 spinal surgeries (I have metal rods in my spine from my shoulder blades to my tailbone). In order to have a regular bowel movement every day I take Glyco Lax (a dr.'s RX) 2x a day, plus what I call my "concoction" : I Tbs raw honey, 2 tsp. apple cider vinegar, 1 tsp. lemon juice, 1/3 cup fresh ground golden flaxseeds,? 1 tsp. Natural Psyllium Husk Fiber, and put all of that in hot purified water and drink it. I also take a stool softener with stimulant. That is a lot of time consuming work for me, but it does work. You offer several products for regularity, but I don't know which one to order. My Dr. says senna is very harsh and addictive, and your products seems to have a lot of senna in them. I was told it is not good for long term use. Please advise.

    A:

Senna is a 100% all-natural herb that is completely safe. It can be used for bowel movement stimulation, as the body recognizes and assimilates the herb without any side effects. All of our products can provide numerous health benefits.

Q: Is sea salt and warm water a good natural laxative? If so how often do you recommend the use of sea salt for elimination? I was reading The Master Cleanser by Stanley Burroughs and it gives this recommendation, along with drinking lemon water mixed with organic syrup and cayenne pepper. Is it safe to give myself an enema 2xs per day using a hot water bottle filled with fresh squeezed organic lemon and distilled water? Asking this because Bzod had me to listen to 88.3 today here in Cincinnati and the guy (Mike) was telling how he does this regularly and has great results.

    A:

Yes, sea salt in water is a mild laxative!

You can do it as often as you FEEL the need to drink or take it.

You can also consume the Master Cleanse (cayenne, maple syrup, lemon juice) if you choose. You can drink this as much as you like depending on how you feel.

And yes, you can perform enemas 2X a day! Enemas are very helpful for health!

Q: I have been dealing with a clogged milk duct, on my left areola. My 9 month old daughter, got a virus last Thursday, and was vomiting non stop for 3 hours. We rushed her to emergency, and they were able to stop the vomiting, and get her rehydrated. Then I got sick, followed by my husband. As a result of her vomiting, she didn't nurse as often, and I became engorged. I noticed pain, and a small lump with pus. I did some research, and figured it was a blocked duct. I massaged, applied warm compresses, tried to pump, and nurse, but it seems to have gotten worse. Yesterday there was a great deal of pus that discharged from the end of my areola. Upon massaging the area, the pus that was dislodged, created a hole there. The nurse is telling me I need to go to the Dr. and get antibiotics. I do not have a temperature, but I don't want things to get worse. I am still nursing, but it is painful. Do you have any suggestions as to what I can do to remedy this? I read that taking 4-5 cloves of garlic acts as a antibiotic naturally.

    A:

Mastitis, is inflammation of the breast. Inflammation is caused by mucus, and mucus is the result of an acidic body predicated upon an acidic diet. A diet high in animal products, (meat and dairy products), as well as refined grains, starches, and effervescent acidic beverages can cause this. Many times, mastitis denotes that an injury is present. The pus actually serves to help out in the situation. Doctors will prescribe antibiotics for mastitis. Since when have antibiotics been able to get rid of mucus and pus? Never! So why would a woman take antibiotics for an inflammation problem? There are natural remedies for mastitis, just as there are for every other breast complaint. If you suffer from mastitis, especially while breastfeeding, start consuming Mulein leaf tea, (3-5 cups daily) Mucus Buster, (capsules and/or tea, 6-9 capsules daily or 3-5 cups per day). You don't want to breastfeed if pus is coming out of the nipples. Instead make an alternative milk (see our article Alternative Infant Formula Milk) to feed the baby while you are healing your breasts. Think positive too! Consider our "Mental Science Manual" e-book to help get and keep your mind right!

Q: I read your article on Dangerous Dairy, and I cannot find on the internet any back up on what is discussed about dairy. Example, fecal matter (like milk), if this is not real fecal matter. What are you talking about? It is also stated that no other animals will drink other animals milk. This is not so, there are reports of baby animals, that lose their mothers and another species steps in to save the baby animals life. A dog saving a baby tigers life. A squirrel saving a pigs life, etc. It is a known fact that we have been eating dairy products for over 8,0000 years. I know that times have changed, but where are your facts were are you getting these facts to report such cause and effect? I would like to see this facts or websites. Thank you.
