Q: I'm preparing to make the hemp seed infant milk recipe. Would I need to add Moringa Seed and/or Iodine Phosphate to your recipies? Also, could I freeze this Hemp seed milk and use later?

    A:

Yes, add Moringa and Iodine Phosphate to it (for nutritional purposes). And yes, you could freeze it the milk and use later, though fresh is always best.

Q: Members of my house have started drinking Hemp Milk and Rice Milk. No more Cow Milk! We like the taste of both. I also like the fact that the hemp milk has omega and other nutrients in it. However, my son is three years old and we have discovered he is allergic to nuts because a family member gave him a cashew to eat, then his eyes began to swell up like Garfield the cat. I had him tested for food allergies and the test revealed he is allergic to nuts and soy. So I don't give him any nut products or soy products. My question for you is: "Is hemp a nut or a seed, is the hemp milk derived from a nut or a seed???" I need to know other alternatives if in fact it is a nut. I do not want to give him something toxic to him.

    A:

Hemp is a seed, not a nut, so hemp seed milk is okay for him.

    Nuts cashews - peanuts, soy

    Grains - rice, oats

Fruit - almond, coconut, banana, date

Q: You said to get the FULL BODY DETOX and milk thistle seed tea for someone with hepatitis C, but on your site I don't see the milk thistle seed tea listed under hepatitis C, one more thing would you take the same for hep. C as you would for hep. A or B, I am just trying to be sure before I get this started.

    A:

FOLLOW THE ADVICE IN THE ARTICLE AS WELL. PERFORM THE FULL BODY DETOX FIRST AND THEN CONTINUE WITH THE MAINTENANCE FORMULAS (LIVER AND GALLBLADDER FORMULA, VITAMIN C FORMULA, ETC.). HOWEVER, THE MILK THISTLE TEA IS GREAT FOR ALL LIVER CONDITIONS AND HEPATITIS FALLS IN THIS CATEGORY. IT DOESN’T MATTER IF THE HEPATITIS IS A, B, OR C. IT'S A PROBLEM WITH THE LIVER AND SO THE LIVER NEEDS TO BE CLEANSED AND DETOXIFIED.

Q: I just ordered the FULL BODY DETOX and I know there's a dietary regimen that I will have to follow. I was wondering if you would approve of a protein shake that consist of (raw hemp protein powder, raw almond butter, sea salt, flax seed, 100% young coconut water & meat inside the coconut, raw carob powder,) (optional soy or rice milk or soy or rice cream)

    A:

Doesn't sound like it will mess up your FULL BODY DETOX. Go for it! But leave out the rice/soy cream! The rice milk is okay (but it is processed/cooked)!

Q: Several people in the conscious community have stated that adding flax seeds and/or flax seed powder to our diet benefits the colon for complete and clean bowel movements. My question is, does flax seed powder or the seeds themselves promote parasites in the stomach and colon? A few of my friends and I have completed the parasite cleanse and got into a debate about it. Thank you very much, Hotep!

    A:

Flax seed undoubtedly helps the colon (due to fiberous nature) but it is absurd to think or suggest that flax seeds (in any form) promotes parasites. Meat, dairy, refined grains and other processed foods is what promotes parasites in the stomach, colon, and rest of the body. So, as Public Enemy would say: "Don't believe the hype!"

Q: I purchased the children's detox and received it a couple of days ago. After reading the pamphlet that came with it, I was wondering where/what kind of milk can I purchase for my baby while she is on the detox? For example it said almond, soy, rice milk... can I buy the regular boxed almond, soy, rice milk? Or if I am going to use coconut milk, can I use the canned coconut milk?

    A:

Yes, you can use almond, coconut, or any other nut milk. We do not reccomend soy.

Q: I have been dealing with a clogged milk duct, on my left areola. My 9 month old daughter, got a virus last Thursday, and was vomiting non stop for 3 hours. We rushed her to emergency, and they were able to stop the vomiting, and get her rehydrated. Then I got sick, followed by my husband. As a result of her vomiting, she didn't nurse as often, and I became engorged. I noticed pain, and a small lump with pus. I did some research, and figured it was a blocked duct. I massaged, applied warm compresses, tried to pump, and nurse, but it seems to have gotten worse. Yesterday there was a great deal of pus that discharged from the end of my areola. Upon massaging the area, the pus that was dislodged, created a hole there. The nurse is telling me I need to go to the Dr. and get antibiotics. I do not have a temperature, but I don't want things to get worse. I am still nursing, but it is painful. Do you have any suggestions as to what I can do to remedy this? I read that taking 4-5 cloves of garlic acts as a antibiotic naturally.

    A:

Mastitis, is inflammation of the breast. Inflammation is caused by mucus, and mucus is the result of an acidic body predicated upon an acidic diet. A diet high in animal products, (meat and dairy products), as well as refined grains, starches, and effervescent acidic beverages can cause this. Many times, mastitis denotes that an injury is present. The pus actually serves to help out in the situation. Doctors will prescribe antibiotics for mastitis. Since when have antibiotics been able to get rid of mucus and pus? Never! So why would a woman take antibiotics for an inflammation problem? There are natural remedies for mastitis, just as there are for every other breast complaint. If you suffer from mastitis, especially while breastfeeding, start consuming Mulein leaf tea, (3-5 cups daily) Mucus Buster, (capsules and/or tea, 6-9 capsules daily or 3-5 cups per day). You don't want to breastfeed if pus is coming out of the nipples. Instead make an alternative milk (see our article Alternative Infant Formula Milk) to feed the baby while you are healing your breasts. Think positive too! Consider our "Mental Science Manual" e-book to help get and keep your mind right!

Q: I was looking at your recipes for infant milk. I am breast feeding but need to wean. I was interested in giving him rice milk (Rice Dream enriched with vitamin a, c, and other vitamins). However, the website says not for use as infant formula. Why would this not be a good substitute? What would this be lacking? Why is your recipe a complete formula for proper infant nutrition? Please Help a concerned new mom!

    A:

Rice Dream is fortified with SYNTHETIC nutrients (vitamins and minerals) and therefore it's not a good source of organic nutrition. If you use Rice Dream, please fortify it with organic nutrition like Dherbs.com Moringa Seed Extract, and Iodine Phosphate Extract (add 5 dropperfuls of each formula to infant milk).

Q: I am on my 3rd day of the fully body cleansing. I am definitely doing this to lose weight. I am a 52 year old, black, Christian, wife, mother to 21 and 14 year old girls, legal secretary who is 450 lbs. I am to the point now where if I don't do this I'm going to be housebound. I can barely move some days that is why I started this because I feel so unhealthy. I have a question about the nuts. I got all gun-ho and ordered $135.00 worth of organic nuts from nuts.com. I got raisins, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, almonds, walnuts, pecans, pistachios and cashews and mixed them all up together (well I purchased 2 lbs of each but I only mixed up 1 lb of each together). Anyway, I was reading about how much calories are in nuts. Should I not pay attention to that because I was consuming a lot of calories in the first place or do I have to watch how many nuts I eat? I have put some nuts in a sandwich bags and basically filled it up and that is supposed to be my nuts ration for the day. I am also eating fruits and vegetables. So far the fruit have been grapes, grapefruit, red apples, pears, green apples and bananas. The vegetables have all been in a salad: tomatoes, celery spinach leaves, carrots, mixed in balsamic vinaigrette. I only ate the salad Monday night all the other times I have just eaten the fruit and nuts. I am also consuming approximately 75-100 oz of water. Sorry I’m long winded I just wanted you to get the entire picture.

    A:

Thanks for the question, I can definitely help you.

I am currently writing an eBook for www.dherbs.com called "Losing weight the healthy way." I have been a weight loss counselor for many years. I am also a health coach, personal trainer, bodymind nutritionist, and a vegan lifestyle coach.

When it comes to weight loss most programs want you to lose weight to get healthy. My mindset is to get healthy and lose weight.

In my health/fitness/nutrition coaching program www.theveganeffect.com I use a lowfat/high carb/ high raw/ nutrient dense/ high alkaline diet to achieve long term weight loss success. So far I am 100 percent in getting clients long lasting weight loss. If you are interested in my program please fill out the health history form on the side of the web page. We could have a free 1 hour initial consultation over skype to see how I can best help you.

Nuts are best kept to a minimum if you use them at all. Nuts are extremely high in fat and have the opposite omega 3- omega 6 ratio that is optimal for health. Seeds are best as far as ratios are concerned. Also nuts are truly easy to over eat and cause your nutrient ratios to be off.

A healthy vegan diet is a high raw fruitarian diet.

    Example:

Breakfast: green smoothie. (500-1000 calories of fruits blended with a handful of greens and water)

Bridge: Dates and strawberries (500 calories)

Lunch: Salad with low sugar fruits (cucumber, tomato, squash, bell peppers) topped with fruit, beans, psuedo grains,

    Bridge: 2-3 apples

Dinner: Raw wraps (collard greens) with low sugar fruit and tahini

    Snack: Sorbet

    Hope this helps

Q: Could you please tell me if you recommend castor oil or black currant seed oil to be used with the PARASITE FORMULA and at what quantity ( 1 tsp or more?) Also, can you tell me your thoughts bad and good on black currant seed oil? And does either of these oils ingested cause weight gain because of the fatty content? Just trying to get a better understanding of these oils and the benefits and drawbacks of them.

    A:

Go with castor oil over black currant seed. These oils don't induce weight gain!

    Q:

A: Unfortunately you cannot consume almond milk while on the cleanse unless it's homemade. Most almond milks contain additives that help sustain shelf life. Below is a recipe to homemade almond milk. http://dherbs.com/recipes/110/84/Raw-Almond-Milk.html

Q: I see also that you recommend a complete diet with these programs. I am guessing its a vegan diet right? I wanted to ask something on that is coconut milk and coconut oils ok for that? I personally had a very hard time trying to eat that many vegetables and many ph balance vegans seem to think fruits aren?t good either. I eat that many vegetables one it tears me up the next day and two I just cant consume enough calories that way. I can try and make up for it by eating things like almonds but I eat to many almonds I get the same problem the next day. Now coconut milk (unsweetened) and a digestive enzyme works for me for picking up extra calories.... but I hear very conflicting information about coconut and its saturated fat content. Is it ok to use daily as a part of the diet for cleansing? And your oxy-drops are those the same as the drop for ph balancing water?? Or is it something different? I am wanting to start lifting weights as I need to put on some muscle and I?m wondering if its something that would be beneficial in combating muscle soreness by increased oxygen in the body.

    A:

The diet we recommend is vegan-based, and RAW FOODS. Fresh fruits, vegetables, raw nuts and seeds are ideal.

Coconut Milk and Coconut Oil are excellent products to have in your diet. The healthy fats will keep you fuller.

Oxy-Drops can help balance your electrolytes that need to be replenished after a workout in order to keep your body performing efficiently.

Q: Greetings, My son just turned one and his day care provider is trying to convince me that he needs whole milk because of the fat in the milk promotes for healthy brain development. I have seen your article on â€ALTERNATIVE INFANT FORMULA MILKâ€; do you suggest something for toddlers

    A:

I suggest any of the alternative milks I wrote about in the article (â€ALTERNATIVE INFANT FORMULA MILKâ€) as they are better for babies, toddlers, children, etc. Cow milk is a toxin and poison to the human body.

Q: I just purchased the WEIGHT RELEASE CLEANSE AND REGIMEN and today is my first day. I'm unable to get through on our inquiry line. The diet isn't completely clear to me. Although it says miso soup is ok, I'm unclear on other things. For instance, is tofu ok? What about hummus? What do sprouted grains consist of? Would Eziekial sprouted grain breads and tortillas be ok? The miso soup is the exception to the dietary rule! NO tofu, NO Ezekiel grain breads (no processed grains at all). Sprouted grains are grains (or seeds) soaked in water overnight and consumed. They are not cooked! Hummus is okay (as it's not cooked). Q: I am the proud purchaser of your FBC system. My husband will be starting the regiment soon. His occupation requires him to work 6p to 6a, thus he sleeps during the day Fri - Mon. The other 3 days he is on a more "normal" schedule. My concern is around what times he should consume his meals/supplements. As you can see, Breakfast and lunch could pose a problem . I am worried that his meals (Smoothies) will throw off his sleep cycle as well. What times frames should he eat at? Do some {raw} ingredients wake you up more? Please advise.

A: Thank for contacting us.  We're happy to hear that you were satisfied with the Cleanse and recommended your husband to do it.  He can adjust the intake of the capsules according to his personal schedule. If he works overnight and is asleep during the day, he can start the regimen when he is up. He should just be sure that he's consuming the formula's every 2-3 hours as instructed.   There are raw foods that helps naturally provide the body with more energy, but they're not the same as consuming caffeinated beverages that would keep him up.  Most raw foods just have multiple benefits.  The Cleanse also helps improve your sleep.
