DIY Nail Soaks For Perfect Healthy Nails

DIY Nail Soaks For Perfect Healthy Nails

Women are not the only ones who benefit from healthy nails. How do you make your nails look healthy and keep them from looking broken, discolored, or like they belong to a peasant from the 1700s? It can be as simple as soaking your nails in natural ingredients or eating healthy foods that promote nail growth.

Just as people eat certain foods to promote hair growth, it can be wise to consume foods that encourage nail growth. Sometimes you don’t even have to eat the foods because you can apply them topically. Coconut oil, for instance, can help to improve the strength/appearance of your nails by massaging your nails with it every day. The same thing can be done with flaxseed oil, which helps to promote faster nail growth.

Tomatoes are full of vitamins A & C, which encourage healthy hair, skin, & nail growth. They also contain vitamin B7, also known as biotin, which is necessary for the body’s production of keratin, the protein that is the primary component to your skin, hair, and nails.

Nettle Tea

Nettle leaf has been used as an herbal remedy to promote hair & nail growth for hundreds of years. It also helps to replenish the body with new nail tissue. Steep about 2-3 teaspoons of dried nettle leaf in one cup of water for ten minutes and drink once a day for healthy nails.

Blackstrap Molasses

If you are a diabetic, consuming this will have an effect on your blood sugar, even though it has a lot of health benefits. It contains nutrients that are stripped away from refined sugars. Add 1 tablespoon of blackstrap to some tea or beverage of choice and drink once or twice a day.
