Going Vegetarian Could Actually Help You Save Money

save-money-go-vegetarian

People make the vegetarian switch for different reasons. Some people don’t want to harm animals, while others simply want to live a healthier lifestyle. Becoming a vegetarian is often thought to be an expensive life choice, but this is a common misconception. Not only are vegetarians often healthier, but their wallets are happier too.

The thing that most people fear is that they won’t get enough sustenance on a vegetarian diet. Believe it or not, there are many plant-based protein sources, as well as foods that keep you full. Instead of shelling out money for expensive meats or dairy products (dairy consumption varies depending on the type of vegetarian a person is), a common grocery list includes things like beans, rice, almond milk, oats, and an assortment of fresh fruits and vegetables.

While organic produce is healthier, you don’t always have to spend money on these expensive produce items. Fresh fruits and veggies are the way to go because frozen items are full of preservatives and chemicals that can create toxic build up in the body. When you eat vegetarian meals, as opposed to the meat-based counterparts, you are giving your body the essential nutrients it needs.

A 2015 study, which was conducted by the Journal of Hunger & Environmental Nutrition, found that vegetarians actually saved an average of $750-$1,000 per year. That’s a nice chunk of change that you’re saving. Think of it this way: 1lb of rib-eye may cost about $7.50 per pound, whereas a can of organic beans may cost $1.50. That slowly starts to add up.

The best way to save money on a vegetarian diet is to buy produce that is in season. Buying produce out of season will often times be more expensive because there isn’t an abundance of the product. Another way to save money is to use all of the food you buy at the grocery store. Don’t let that produce go to waste! An easy way to do this is to meal prep on the weekend so you have meals for the week. Vegetarian meals will keep longer!

Making the vegetarian switch cold turkey can be a little daunting, so start out slow and don’t throw out every food item in your house. Start by only eating meat a couple days a week. A big step that you can take is to order vegetarian meals when you go out to eat. You’ll notice that a lot of vegetarian food you learn to cook tastes better than a lot of vegetarian meals at restaurants. This means you’ll eat more homemade meals, which can also save you money. Eventually, you won’t be thinking about meat because of how healthy you’ll feel.

Q: I have the alternative diet and lifestyle manual and want to make sure that this applies to the respiratory condition as well. Can I have the rice bread with no gluten or wheat? or rice pasta being that I have sarcoid? Can I eat cold water fish or venison in small portions along with veggies? What about rice or soy milk or protein whey shake for breakfast once or twice a week? Thank you once again my breathing has improved greatly and I have ordered many more supplies to maintain what I have accomplished thus far due to your regimen. I am not a vegetarian so I want to make sure it is okay to have white meats. I will do whatever I have to do to live. I love and appreciate everything you have done to change and help me to heal myself.

    A:

The manual applies when you are FINISHED with a cleanse or kit. Follow the regimen's diet. It clearly states NO COOKED FOOD. You are asking us about cooked food here. Stick to the diet plan and you will be alright! You are asking about foods no good for your condition. Whey is crap. Meat is no good. Grains are no good for you as well. They all produce too much mucus!

Q: I just completed the Full Body Cleanse about two weeks ago and started the Pancreas Formula for my pancreas... I don?t have the money for the full kit but after the Full Body Cleanse I?ve notice my blood averaging +-200.....it had reached a low of 124 during detox. I bought cromium and have used it since the onset of detox at about 1200 mcg per day! My Pancreas is a piece of crap!!!!! I haven?t had ANY thing with added sugar or artificial, just green tea with stevia to sweeten it. NO Treats! The only regular food I get now is like lean cuisine type once or twice a day with fresh vegetables or fresh made Veg juice....I had went from 327lbs to 289lbs during detox but since I?ve went back up settling at about 296 and stable. I have cut everything I love out of my life! No Sugar, No Milk Products. About 6 ounces of meat A WEEK eat mostly live vegetables yet I see a Pancreas that needs to be punished for ruining my life!!!!! I try to help it and this is what it does for me! I don?t know what to do next.

    A:

If you can't afford the full kit or kits, order and drink some of our Herbal Teas to help maintain the pancreas in its normal healthy secretion. Cinnamon Tea can also provide additional benefits.

We also recommend a daily pancreas regimen of: Pancreas Aid, Pancreas Formula, and Sugar Control.

Your vegetable juice should consist of GREEN BEAN (Snap pea) and/or BRUSSEL SPROUTS, to help maintain pancreatic health.

Q: After I had my baby over a year ago I've had a constant discharge. There is no foul order just thin white. I'm vegetarian but I occasionally have pizza with cheese. Help!

    A:

I found this article to very interesting that you wrote.. I have headaches from time to time also.

Q: You are absolutely right. I just read this e-mail but went to the market earlier and really had to look at myself. I have more money on my feet than I wanted to spend on what I put into myself. I am happy that I made that distinction and choose organic. Money is no option when it comes to my health anymore. Thanks for keeping it real. That?s exactly what I need! Today is my first day and I am extremely excited about living a different life. Ok, I'm ready to cleanse...again. I've decided to focus on cultivating my feminine self so I've purchased your Female Cleanse as a start. I have one question though. I was wondering if adding 15 minute sunbathing to the cleanse would be helpful? The sun appears to be quite healing so I thought it may complement the cleanse. Also, would it be unwise to start the cleanse if one is on their cycle?

    A:

Sunbathing won't hurt your cleanse. Not at all! And no, being on your menses also won't hurt or impair your cleanse.

Q: I have been diagnosed with neutropenia and been seeing a hematologist for the last 6 years. He wants to avoid doing a bone marrow biopsy on me if he can. I am also anemic and received a iron infusion about a year ago. I go weekly for a CBC count and Monday I was told that my iron count is low again. The lowest my white blood count has been is in the 700's. I am Afro-American and I know that it's common for our white blood count to run low. I rarely eat red meat. I was a vegetarian until I got pregnant with my son he is now 2 1/2 yrs old. I eat red meat about once a month now. Is there anything that I can take to build up my white blood cells count?

A: Check out our Blood & Lymphatic Formula to cleanse your blood, and Vitamin C to build up the white blood cell count.

Q: Hello... I apologize for the length of this because I understand how precious your time is. About 2 weeks ago I had a one-night stand. We used a flavored condom. A few days after I began to have some vaginal itching, which I disregarded as yeast infection I took some black walnut hulls but that did and the itching subsided it a bit. I decided to buy some vagisil (I know its toxic but the itching was unbearable and I wanted immediate relief so badly.) Later on that day my clitoris began to burn but I thought it was from the vagisil. Fast-forward 2 days I looked at my vagina in a mirror and noticed there was a small scab on clitoris. Immediately thought I had herpes. I read your article on herpes and thought I needed to detox my body immediately I have been living unrighteous and it is time to live righteously! I forgave myself for abusing myself with alcohol and weed and unrighteous sex. I then forgave the person for giving me herpes. I'm grateful I had that encounter because it taught me to become center and grounded. I ordered the full body detox, which I am on currently and thought maybe I should do the anti viral kit & regimen afterwards. However I did not get tested for herpes and I may not even have it. I did not want to get tested because I did not want it on the books that I have herpes. I fully agree and over stand there are no incurable diseases. MY body is in a diseased state and blood is toxic. My question is should I get tested after the anti viral regimen kit if I have never been diagnosed with the disease. And I am also a college student with limited funds and not sure if I should invest in the kit because I do not have any money right now. I'M not having sex again until it is with a soul mate. I do want to take an HIV test to show my soul mate I do not have that disease. (in case he asks) I have never taken one of those before. Will it come back negative after the full body detox? I'm not sure what to do from here. Thank you for time. I truly appreciate your site. If I had not found your site I would not be a vegetarian to day and I would not know how to heal myself. I excited about my new path of living positively!

    A:

I would suggest you read our article "Genital Herpes". Sound likes you learned a serious lesson. Now it's time to heal. I would recommend performing the Anti-Viral kit followed by the Full Body Detox and if you can only order one product, I'd say give the Anti-Viral a try. Please read our free health articles. they will further stimulate thinking.

Q: My question is about hair loss. I am a 45 year old African American female. I started losing my hair about 15 years ago. I specifically remember unusual symptoms before it started to fall out. First, my entire scalp had a burning sensation, and it was very tender to the touch. It was very difficult to brush, comb and wash. Then after that, I am not sure how much longer after, but a dry patch of skin developed toward the back of my head (approximately 1 inch in diameter). I was able to peel it off and pull it through the strains of hair (very weird). That happened a couple of times and not too long after that, my hair started to fall out in large amounts for a fairly long period of time. At the moment I would say that I am mostly bald with hair mostly around the edges. Also I would like to mention that hair started to grow on my chest BUT I started to lose hair in my vaginal area. Sorry if some of this sounds sketchy but it's been 15 years!! I will try to give you a little bit of my history. I am 5'8" and 135lbs. I would say that for the most part, I have been an athlete all my life. My menses were very irregular sometimes and/or absent for long periods of time. When my menses were present, I had very bad cramps and clotting. My menses are now very regular and I hardly have any cramps, my flow is light and very little clotting. I would have to say that it is now a pleasure to have my "period". This also might be a result from switching my diet to a vegetarian diet. I have been a vegetarian for about 16 years. I would say 20% is dairy, but after reading your articles, I am trying my best to become vegan, hopefully even a raw foodist. I also eat tofu. I have never had hair problems growing up. I did get relaxers, but only twice a year. I have had my appendix removed when I was in elementary school. My bowel movements are usually once a day. (I know it needs to be 3.) So anyway, I have been to a couple of medical doctors to no avail, so now I am coming to you. I just received the following products from your company today (10-06-08). I am looking forward to using them. - MSM SULFUR - ELECTRIC GREENS CELL FOOD - COLON FORMULA - HEALING HERBAL TOOTH POWDER - HAIR OIL One last note: I have had maybe one cold in the last 3 years. I can't remember the last time I had the flu. So thank the Lord, my health has been pretty good. Thank you for reading about my situation and hopefully you can shed some light on what is going on with my body.

Q: I was wondering, is there a "less expensive" alternative to your ANTI-VIRAL CLEANSE AND REGIMEN? Honestly, I don't have the money to order the entire kit right now. I previously did your FULL BODY DETOX and was very satisfied. I suffered from HSV2 for 15 years and since doing your kit 4 months ago, I have quit the pharmaceutical medicine and have not had any reoccurrence. I really would like to do the antiviral kit but at the present time cannot afford the entire kit. Is there a breakdown regime of the kit that could still be worth while but a little bit more of the cost conservative side? I will wait to get the kit if you recommend doing it that way instead but I’m wondering if you had any other options, more around $100. I have really enjoyed reading your monthly newsletter since becoming a member and have started on your articles. Great work, makes you re-think old ways that aren't beneficial for higher purposes. Any feedback that you can give, I'd appreciate it.

    A:

I would recommend a daily regimen of ANTI-VIRAL FORMULA, RAINFOREST TONIC, and BLOOD AND LYMPHATIC FORMULA until you can afford the actual ANTI-VIRAL CLEANSE AND REGIMEN. Make sure you join Club Dherbs in the future to get those automatic savings on our products and services. Glad you got great benefits with the FULL BODY DETOX! Also, glad you enjoy the monthly newsletters and articles.

Q: I am beginning a career as an artist but I am a single mother. I have worked in many corporate offices as a temp. I have attempted attending schools for things I thought would make me money. I really want to be a successful artist but I also have to take care of my son and work on art and work on my freelance contracts. I do not make the money I want or live where I want to live yet. I help my mother with her bills, I buy groceries and cook for everyone, I work at my uncles center for children and out of an art gallery at the homeless shelter as well as attend courses regarding the art business. I am doing it all without acquiring debt but I would like to know if it sounds like I am doing enough. I live a very lonely life, no real friends, no boyfriend. The only "kicks" I get are smoking a little weed and drinking a little wine here and there. I take my son to school and pick him up daily. I made sure I got him into one of the top schools in my city I also try to teach him and read to him as much as possible and keep him out of trouble. It gets hard. How do I stay motivated? I think the thing that bothers me most is uncertainty and the lack of money I have right now. How do I get to the next level financially without acquiring debt or having to fight traffic and deal with crazy attitudes every day?

    A:

I apologize for the very delayed response, we have been experiencing technical difficulties.  I first would like to commend you on your ability to prioritize in such an effective manner.  Your life sounds like one lived in great service to  and love of others.  However, it is also VERY important that you receive energy from others so that you do not become too imbalanced.  Balance in life is crucial in all things (spiritual, physical, cognitive, relational etc).

Your loneliness is your heart's/spirit's way of asking for relational balance.  It will continue asking louder and cause difficulties in other areas of your life/being until you create this balance.  Your substance use (and thank you for your honesty) only temporarily masks the loneliness, but drugs can only make it worse.  You see, drugs block us from becoming skilled at creating healthy relationships because they numbs us by turning down the volume on our brain's natural pleasure-centers.

Additionally; keep in mind:  Your first fruits are always to be consumed by YOU!  You must always place yourself first, even before your son.  In example:  Airlines direct you that in the event of trouble you are to place your own oxygen mask on first.  You can be of no use to your son if you are unconscious due to lack of oxygen.  Similarly, if you give all of your fruits to others, you will have no "seed" or energy to produce more fruit.

You must give to you first!  Then you have the energy to give to others.  It teaches others how to give to you, how to love you, how to respect you and your needs while giving them the opportunity to reciprocate by giving to you.  This is how we balance giving.  Don't worry if it feels selfish at first, it definitely will seem that way, to you and possibly others.  Its just the change of tides making everyone feel a bit uncomfortable - but this will balance out in time as you become  more skilled at receiving and feel more worthy of others' care .

I realize you have asked several other questions, however I have addressed the one I feel will help unblock your energy and allow you to see that the answers to the other questions have always been right before you.  We are born with everything we need to accomplish our goals, we only need to focus on the proper utilization of these gifts and resources.  If you couple this skill with fearlessness and belief in oneself, you will win.

This communication does not constitute a client/coach relationship.  This is for information purposes only.

    Life is simply beautiful!

    Enjoy your Self!

Q: I re-read your Money, Abundance Manual the other night and had a couple of points I needed clarification on. 1.The Feng Shui of the home. You gave a description of a room as it relates to different things (i.e. right center = children and creativity), What does that mean? Are you referring to pictures, memorabilia of children and creativity? 2. On one page you stated for aquariums and fountains to be placed in the front center of a room, and then on another page you said it should be placed in the left rear corner?

    A:

    1. You gave a description of a room as it relates to different things (i.e. right center = children and creativity)But what does that mean?

    ANSWER:
It only means the energy is conducive (supportive) to these things according to the feng shui custom. That's all!
    2. On one page you stated for aquariums and fountains to be placed in the front center of a room and then on another page you said it should be placed in the left rear corner?

    ANSWER:
It varies according to the goal, Beloved. Sometimes it's more beneficial to have it in the front and other times in the back, depending on the goal.

Q: My grandson is said to have ADDHD. The Psychologist had given my daughter a prescription for Vyvanse. We read the possible side effects and we decided it's not worth the risk to his health and wellbeing. What else can be done beside medication. My daughter is a vegetarian and has been to an allergist who tested him and found he is allergic to many foods such as milk, chocolate, grapes, apples, raspberries, some food dies, and many more things. How does she put it all together?

    A:

The most important thing Linda is to read our "ATTENTION-DEFICIT DISORDER" article on our site. I think it will give you an added perspective on this fake disease to medicate light children being born on the planet to help raise the vibration. I don't look at ADD as a disease and thus it doesn't need to be treated. Parents don't need to give these children anything, but just stop giving things such as junk foods (sugar), drugs, soda pop, meat, dairy products, etc. In other words, detox them. Consider the CHILDREN DETOX (liquid extracts) , at least for starters.

Q: My husband has scar tissue on his head. He was hit on the head with a bat by some attackers (years ago). The top of his head is extremely hard like a rock --the entire thing is scar tissue. In the back towards his neck but still on his head is a larger patch of raised scar tissue. It is so severe that he has lost and appears to be losing more hair off the top of his head (I think it's because his skin isn't breathing or getting oxygen. He's tried everything from drinking Aloe Vera and applying this to all sorts of products. Currently he is using the skintight products (razor/hair bump, as well as the coco butter) however after reading your article about alcohol, I know they contain this so I don't want him to keep using it even though we are seeing some larger results than we ever have before with that product. We are both vegetarians. He has been a vegetarian for 15 years. He used to eat soy burgers etc., but has completely cut that out for about 3 months. He is now in his third week of raw food (as prescribed by your website) just drinking the green juice from Bolthouse (algae, wheatgrass, spinach etc.) and eating large spinach and vegetable raw salads. We are using the recipe that you included in your e-books. We will continue on a diet like this for the next year while we cleanse our bodies and keep this lifestyle. However, with all of that, my question for you is-- Do you have any recommendations for him to remove his scar tissue? I thought the OZ OIL would help. In addition, I'd like to buy him the FIBRIOD BUSTER and/or any other fibroid kits- but the website says they are for women (only?). Any recommendations you could make would be most appreciated.

    A:

I would tell you to keep using natural products (shea butter, OZ OIL, FIBRIOD BUSTER, MSM SULFUR, etc.) and let the healing take place at its own course. The more you focus on what you don't like (his head injury) the more it will magnify (not heal). His body is programmed to heal and it will but you must remain open to let the body heal at its own pace. Just continue to eat, think, and live right. He'll heal! Just give it time! Let nature do her thing!
