The health world has experienced a superfood surge, with a great deal of attention directed at blueberries, kale, spirulina, nuts, olive oil, green tea, ginger, and turmeric. Lettuce not forget that spinach is one of the original superfoods! Sorry, but we had to sneak that veggie pun in there. Popeye, of course, brought spinach into the limelight because of the super strength he gained after eating it. Spinach does have amazing health benefits, but we don’t encourage eating it out of the can like Popeye did.

 

Do you know why spinach leaves are never lonely? It’s because they come in bunches.

 

Rich In Nutrients:

Spinach contains a wide variety of nutrients, including folate, magnesium, potassium, iron, calcium, and vitamins A, B2, B6, C, and E. This combination of nutrients works to decrease damaging protein levels in the blood, and helps regulate blood pressure levels. Spinach also contains lutein, which helps to fight macular degeneration, the leading cause of blindness in senior citizens, and cataracts.

 

Strengthens Muscles:

Spinach contains an antioxidant known as factor C0-Q10, which helps strengthen muscles, especially the heart muscles that pump blood throughout the body. C0-Q10 has been known to dramatically reduce the risk of hypertension, coronary heart disease, and hyperlipidemia.

 

Helps With Fetal Development:

Spinach contains folate, which is necessary for healthy nervous system development in a growing fetus. Spina bifida or cleft palate, in addition to other birth defects, has been linked to folate deficiency. It is recommended for new mothers to consume spinach for the vitamin A content, which aids with healthy lung development via breastfeeding.

    Q: My husband has scar tissue on his head. He was hit on the head with a bat by some attackers (years ago). The top of his head is extremely hard like a rock --the entire thing is scar tissue. In the back towards his neck but still on his head is a larger patch of raised scar tissue.     I would tell you to keep using natural products (shea butter, OZ OIL, FIBRIOD BUSTER, MSM SULFUR, etc.) and let the healing take place at its own course. The more you focus on what you don't like (his head injury) the more it will magnify (not heal). His body is programmed to heal and it will but you must remain open to let the body heal at its own pace. Just continue to eat, think, and live right. He'll heal! Just give it time!     Q: Hi I am on the 5th day and I had a lunch on today. I ate shrimp spinach salad?does that affect my detox? I feel very bad.

    A: In order to achieve the best results, you should remain on a raw foods diet for the duration. However, if you slip up, get right back on track with the raw foods diet and finish the cleanse! You can receive many of the beneficial effects of the cleanse still.

    Q: For the last 2 weeks, I've been eating only raw foods.     Q: How often should one eat cook food? I'm a vegan, I do not consume any meat, seafood, milk what so ever. I eat water cresses like everyday so as cook food.     You can eat cooked food as much as you like. However, try to incorporate as many nutrient-dense raw foods, such as fresh fruits and vegetables, raw nuts and seeds, into your diet to make sure you are receiving an adequate amount of nutrients.

    Q: I am on my 3rd day of the fully body cleansing. I am definitely doing this to lose weight. I am a 52 year old, black, Christian, wife, mother to 21 and 14 year old girls, legal secretary who is 450 lbs. I am to the point now where if I don't do this I'm going to be housebound. I can barely move some days that is why I started this because I feel so unhealthy. I have a question about the nuts. I got all gun-ho and ordered $135.00 worth of organic nuts from nuts.com. I got raisins, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, almonds, walnuts, pecans, pistachios and cashews and mixed them all up together (well I purchased 2 lbs of each but I only mixed up 1 lb of each together). Anyway, I was reading about how much calories are in nuts. Should I not pay attention to that because I was consuming a lot of calories in the first place or do I have to watch how many nuts I eat? I have put some nuts in a sandwich bags and basically filled it up and that is supposed to be my nuts ration for the day. I am also eating fruits and vegetables. So far the fruit have been grapes, grapefruit, red apples, pears, green apples and bananas. The vegetables have all been in a salad: tomatoes, celery spinach leaves, carrots, mixed in balsamic vinaigrette. I only ate the salad Monday night all the other times I have just eaten the fruit and nuts. I am also consuming approximately 75-100 oz of water. Sorry I’m long winded I just wanted you to get the entire picture.

    Nuts are best kept to a minimum if you use them at all. Nuts are extremely high in fat and have the opposite omega 3- omega 6 ratio that is optimal for health. Seeds are best as far as ratios are concerned. Also nuts are truly easy to over eat and cause your nutrient ratios to be off.

     

    A healthy vegan diet is a high raw fruitarian diet. 

    Example:

    Breakfast: green smoothie. (500-1000 calories of fruits blended with a handful of greens and water)

    Bridge: Dates and strawberries (500 calories) 

    Lunch: Salad with low sugar fruits (cucumber, tomato, squash, bell peppers) topped with fruit, beans, psuedo grains, 

    Bridge: 2-3 apples

    Dinner: Raw wraps (collard greens) with low sugar fruit and tahini

    Snack: Sorbet

    Q: I received my TOTAL WOMAN CLEANSE and started it yesterday (thank you for prompt delivery). I noticed that the white specks I was passing with the FULL BODY DETOX are even bigger pieces with the TOTAL WOMAN CLEANSE. I'm assuming this is still yeast coming out. The first day I started I didn't go at all which is unusual for me but today I went 4 times. The fourth round looked like dark green spinach.     Q: My friend is 34 and he has congestive heart failure. The doctor says his heart is bad, and he needs an LVAD- (left ventriclar assisted devise attached to his heart). He is curently taking the blood thinners lovenox and warfarin. He is a diabetic, and has high blood pressure. He has a mediport which include dovutamina, which helps the heart to pump. His heart is weak. His diet consist of meat and veggies. Should he have the lvad surgery which will lead to heart transplant? Should he keep his bad heart? The doctor says he could live up to 5 years with the surgery, and without it he only have months. What herbs or advise can you give him?

    Q: I have a fried who was told he has a heart murmur, and a small hole in his heart that is leaking. He needs to get surgery to get the whole closed up, or else it can get worst. He has severe chest pains, and his right shoulder hurts him constantly. They say it is because no blood is pumping to his arm at a steady rate because of his heart. He does not have health insurance and wants to avoid the medications and surgery. He has lost weight so what do you recommend? Full Body Detox?     Q: In less than a year, I had two miscarriages with there being a fetal pole, but no heartbeat. Both babies died between 7-8 weeks. My last baby, I had an emergency c-section. During that time (either before or afterwards), I had a major infection in which I was given antibiotics for 4 days. Then once the infection was gone (so they say), my blood pressure went up. Because I am not a medicine taker (especially since I had hypertension with the two pregnancies before the last one and the medicine never worked), I refused to take the ONE pill that they say would make my blood pressure go down. Today, my pressure is pretty stable. Anyway, I was wondering if you think that the miscarriages have been caused by the infection or is there something still wrong with my body due to the c-section. What do you recommend that I do in order to get my body back so that so I can safely and fully carry another baby to term if it happens again that I will get pregnant? I can't lose another baby. I will be totally devastated. By the way, neither I nor my husband wants to do birth control. I don't want to have my tubes tied because I believe there are some underlying negative causes that can effect the body and I particularly do not want to put anything foreign in my body, i.e. IUD. I have been told that I cannot take Birth Control Pills due to my history with hypertension. What can I do?

    The miscarriages are more spiritual than anything. Babies have no soul until after birth, so until birth, you only have biological entities forming in your body, so you are dealing with physical health problems. You need to work on strengthening your reproductive system. Evidently you system is weak. The C-section was unnecessary and doctors did it to make money. That's all. You don't do a C-section for a fetus of 7-8 weeks. That's ludicrous! Antibiotics? Those things are dangerous and are still in your body until you detox. The poisonous drugs they put in your body caused the Hypertension. Beloved, here's what I would recommend in your case: first perform the FULL BODY DETOX that will target all of the above. After this, perform the TOTAL WOMAN CLEANSE. After this cleanse, perform the FERTILITY CLEANSE (which is optional in your case). You don't need birth control pills or any foreign device in your body.     Q: I was reading your article about vinegar being harmful to the body because of its acids and I was curious to know what you think of the Organic unpasturized, unfiltered apple cider vinegar with mother? I saw that at the end of the article it stated that "if you must" use vinegar to use the organic apple cider vinegar but, I have read many places that it has many health benefits such as reducing bad cholesterol, regulating blood pressure, eliminating toxic waste from the body, fighting fungal and bacterial infections, helping relieve joint pains, breaking down fat which helps in natural weight reduction.

    Use 1 cup of fruit juice (of your liking), 1 cup of frozen fruit (i.e. banana, strawberries, mango, etc.), 1 cup of ice (optional). Blend for about 30 seconds! Drink and enjoy!

    The benefits are all positive: alkaline, energizing, nutritious, rich in chlorophyll, antioxidant, etc. and you can drink them as much as you like, just like many people drink wine, beer, coffee, Kool-Aid, milk, etc. as much as they like and never worry about it. It's all good!

    Q: I just started the Full Body Cleanse today! I reviewed the recipe section for ideas but I'm either allergic to the fruit or don't care for the vegetable. Based upon the Full Cleanse process, are there any other food combination or recipes I can do? I made the veggie shake but it was 'spicy' not sure why? Is there anything else I can add?     Could you explain a little further? What do you mean by allergic to the fruit? Do you have certain fruit allergies or getting a reaction to the fruit? 

    Changes in your body are going to occur. Know that your body builds up a culture of bacteria designed to digest your current diet. Your taste buds may have been hijacked by high fat, high sugar, high salt, chemically processed foods. It will take 3 days or more to begin the chance in culture. You will find as your body cleanses your taste buds will be significantly different.

    Q: I was wondering if it is okay to mix Mrs. Dash season blend with Olive Oil as a dressing for my salad? It tastes real bad with just Olive Oil alone, and I don't like the bitterness taste of lemon juice, and apple vinegar cider.     Q: Good Day to you. July 07, I was diagnosed with having the auto-immune disease Myasthenia Gravis. Since then I have had several hospital stays, including a surgery to remove my Thymus Gland...(beleif that this was one cause)and taking many medications, one of which suppresses my immune system, the others include steroids which have terrible side effects...etc. My latest hospital stay, I was placed on the vent and intubated, because of the Myasthenia and an infection that my body couldn't fight off (suppressed immune system) that further complicated the MG restricting my respiratory system.
