The Benefits Of Starting Your Day With A Detox Tea

The Benefits Of Starting Your Day With A Detox Tea

People have their own morning routines, some of them a little healthier than others. We are willing to wager that a lot of people don’t start their mornings with a soothing cup of turmeric detox tea. Some people turn to coffee and others prefer caffeinated tea, but starting your day with a cup of this deliciousness can set the tone for the rest of your day.

Turmeric isn’t the only ingredient in this magical elixir. You are going to be reaping the benefits of lemon, cinnamon, raw honey, and ginger, all of which are ingredients we constantly rave about. To give you a little more insight as to why you should start your mornings with this detox beverage, check out how each ingredient benefits the body.

Turmeric

The active ingredients in turmeric can actually turn your fat storing cells into fat burning cells. Pretty cool, right? When this happens, it can be easier for your body to lose weight. Turmeric is also loaded with anti-inflammatory properties that help regulate inflammation in the body.

Raw Honey

Because raw honey contains hydrogen peroxide, it helps to kill unwanted bacteria and fungus in the body. Several European hospitals have found that raw honey is effective in fighting a type of methicillin-resistant (antibiotic-resistant) staph infection. Manuka honey has proven to be the most effective.

Ginger

Ginger helps to cleanse the lymphatic system, also known as the body’s sewage system. It also helps to flush toxins from your organs. Did we mention that ginger prevents the body from accumulating toxins that can make you sick or susceptible to bacterial infections? Well, it can do that too!

Lemons

Rich in vitamin C, which helps to fight free radicals in the body, lemons should constantly be in your diet. In addition to assisting the body with toxin elimination, lemons help to naturally lower blood pressure, due to the potassium content. Potassium helps to naturally eliminate excess sodium in the body, making lemons beneficial for those with heart problems.

Cinnamon

The ORAC scale, which measures the concentration of antioxidants in different foods, ranked cinnamon high on the list at number seven out of all the foods, spices, and herbs. The polyphenols, flavonoids, and phenolic acid in cinnamon work to decrease oxidative stress, which has been linked to brain disorders, cancer, heart disease, and nitric oxide build-up.
