One of the most difficult things about cleansing your body (aside from being a bore at a potluck) is maintaining healthy energy levels. You are well on your way to a healthier, toxin-free lifestyle. When it comes to exercising, it is an additional way to detoxify the body. Exercising boosts the body’s systems by allowing blood to properly circulate and bring nutrients to all the organs and muscles, while carrying away and filtering out poisonous waste products from every cell, tissue and organ. That said, you don’t want to overexert yourself on the cleanse. At the end of the day, your body is detoxing and you can use light exercises to help with that process.

Jogging/Cycling:

When it comes to doing aerobic exercises such as jogging or cycling (riding an exercise bike is great too), it’s important to eat solid raw foods. Making fruit or vegetable smoothies, especially green smoothies, are great sources of potassium, but you need raw solids to make up for the burned calories. Raw almonds, avocados, freshly made almond milk, whole fruits like bananas, vegetables, or nut butters (excluding peanut butter as it is hard on the digestive system) should be consumed before and after workouts, and sometimes even during.

Swimming:

If jogging or cycling isn’t your cup of tea, swimming laps will dramatically increase your heart rate. To avoid feeling winded after a lap, it’s best to consume a smoothie with superfoods like kale and raw almonds, spirulina, and goji berries before plunging into the water. Make sure you don’t burn yourself out while swimming. Take it slow because you are using your whole body and engaging a lot of muscle groups.

Yoga:

Yoga is an ideal exercise to do during your cleanse. This calming exercise can increase your metabolism and stretch your muscles, all the while contributing to your general well-being. Because there are many different types and levels of yoga, it’s beneficial to take an introductory class to get help from an instructor. You can also look on our website or check in your cleanse booklet for different yoga routines. The Sun Salutation, Bow Pose, Child’s Pose, Bridge Pose, Seated Sage Twist, Head to Knee Forward Bend, or the Plow Pose are great poses that can help detox different parts of the body.

Walking:

A simple walk can be beneficial in promoting proper circulation. Believe it or not, a simple 30-40 minute walk can burn calories. Making a juice with dark leafy greens, organic unsweetened coconut water, jalapenos, or system purifiers like cilantro and chlorophyll can provide you the energy you need for your walks.

Breathing Exercises:

Tai Chi is one of the best breathing exercises that involves slow, fine, and short breaths. A huge part of Tai Chi is having a firm grip on your mind and body. There are many beginner classes and exercises that you can do to get going. You can also practice yoga breathing, which takes a controlled approach to breathing just like Tai Chi. Yoga breathing involves longer breaths, pausing between each inhale and exhale. Sit up straight and have your back against the wall when doing this exercise.

Rebounding:

Rebounding is actually a great exercise for your lymphatic system. What is rebounding, though? You essentially bounce on a mini trampoline to create an increased G-force resistance. It stimulates a ton of one-way valves in your lymphatic system, which helps to promote better circulation. This is a great, low-impact aerobic exercise that helps strengthen your bones, connective tissue, and muscles without causing oxidative stress.

When you are exercising on the cleanse, it is extra important that you consume the right amount of water every day because it helps remove toxins. Eight 8oz cups of distilled or alkaline water per day is a good rule of thumb, or you can drink half your body weight in ounces of water. If you weigh 150lbs, then you should drink 75oz of water every day. If you want something to give you a boost before you cardio workouts, you can try an all-natural pre-workout energizer.

    Q: I see also that you recommend a complete diet with these programs. I am guessing its a vegan diet right? I wanted to ask something on that is coconut milk and coconut oils ok for that? I personally had a very hard time trying to eat that many vegetables and many ph balance vegans seem to think fruits aren?t good either. I eat that many vegetables one it tears me up the next day and two I just cant consume enough calories that way. I can try and make up for it by eating things like almonds but I eat to many almonds I get the same problem the next day.     Q: I am so impressed with your website and the level of great information you provide. The product list is very impressive as well. I have High Blood Pressure and have been on medication for a little over five years. I am 5'8" tall 167lbs. I'm in pretty good shape. I don't understand why I have HBP.     Q: I am doing the the Full Body Detox, the Anti Viral Cleanse, and then the 10 Day Electric Greens Cell Food Cleanse. I am trying to fully heal form so called HIV.     Q: Good morning. I tried the WEIGHT RELEASE CLEANSE AND REGIMEN and followed the diet. I must say that I am amazed at how good I feel. Energetic and focused but alas, I only lost 3 pounds in the 3 weeks. I am 5'5 and currently at 181 pounds. My body is extremely resistant to weight loss. I have done several different types of detox including the IZO juice cleanse in the last year and had not lost weight. I don't even seem to respond to a very low calorie diet. I do have elevated liver Enzyme levels and a recent blood test showed low B6 vitamin and not proper protein digestion. I exercise 3 times a week and I eat rather health and mostly organic.     This means that your body focused on another area that was of more importance than weight release. your mind wanted weight reduction but your body intelligence focused on something else. Go with the flow of the body intelligence and trust it. You apparently have an energetic block that prevents you from physically releasing weight (since you've tried other programs). Consider scheduling a consultation so we can get at the energetic/emotional root of your problem. Simply stop worrying about "losing" weight.     Q: I have been off the full body cleanse for about a month, what I have noticed, when I haven't drank the amount of water needed, my anus begins to hurt as if I have heroics, I cannot wipe without having pain.     Q: I'm doing the Full Body Cleanse and I have a few questions about it: I get tired of drinking just the distilled water and I'd like to drink the herbal teas, but I don't like it by itself. Would it mess things up to add a pack or two of Splenda to my tea or maybe honey? I can't stand the salads with the olive oil or apple cider vinegar or the lemon juice as dressing and it makes me gag. I have To have some sort of salad dressing. What kind would be suitable? Do I look for sugar-free? Or organic and natural? I found one that is organic and natural, but it has 3 grams of sugar in it. Without eating all my whole grained breads and other fiber, I haven't had much of a bowel movement in 3 days, should I wait a while yet?     1. Instead of splenda, use agave, stevia, or grade b maple syrup as a sweetener.

    2. In re Salad Dressing, an organic and natural one is great. You can also check our website for salad dressing recipes.

    It's best to keep exercise to a minimum. When you exercise your body pulls blood away from your core and into your limbs (fight or flight response). That directs blood away from your healing response. Also high impact or weight training requires more calories and more protein which will over work the organs that should be using their energy healing.

    Exercise is great, but the healthy exercises include Pilates, yoga, tai-chi, qi chong, stretching, swimming, etc. Jogging is okay if on sand, dirt, or grass. If on cement/asphalt - DANGEROUS (destroys the bones and uterus in women). The gym is okay but weight lifting and other exercises are dangerous and destroy connective tissue.

    Q: Can I do a 45-minute cardio while doing the Full Body Cleanse? The Doctor claims I am a Type II Diabetic and I have decided to cleanse and then do the Pancreas Cleanse as well. I want to workout to tone up!!! Just wondering if I will have enough energy to continue to workout...I am doing cardio 4 x a week for 45 minutes.

    A: You can still exercise while doing the cleanse, but we suggest only engaging in the light cardio instead of any intense workouts.  Because you're on an adjusted diet that consists of mainly fruits and vegetables, you may burn through the foods faster as opposed to when you workout while consuming carbs or starchy foods.  You can drink Green Tea for a boost of energy or consume raw foods that provides a natural source of energy.  Foods that provide you with more energy include bananas, spinach, citrus fruits like grapefruits and oranges, apples, almonds and lemons.

    Q: I have completed the Pancreas Cleanse, and I'm finishing up the Full Body Detox, I'm very disappointed! Reason being, I thought I would have dropped a lot of the extra weight, and I didn't. I did all raw foods, and started preparing raw snacks, made with nuts and dried fruits. In fact, I think I was eating too many raw nuts.     Too many raw nuts could cause a feeling of being bloated, but nuts are pretty good to eat while detoxing. Most people don't have a problem with nuts, while cleansing. Okay, so you have diabetes and the weight is from the diabetes association, correct? It is ideal to first perform the Full Body Detox, followed by the Pancreas Cleanse. If you don't release the full 35 pounds of weight with these 2 kits, you then perform either the 10-Day Supreme Colon Cleanse, or the Weight Release Cleanse. Also, whether cleansing or not, drink 2 cups of Pancreas Tea daily. If the weight (waste), is due to the diabetes then your body responded to the contents of the Pancreas Cleanse (because your body needed it), and this is a sign that you should only be performing the Pancreas Cleanse, and not the other cleanses I named above.
