Lemons are just the best. We already have an article about the many things you can use lemons for, but we decided that this mighty citrus fruit deserved to be featured again. Rich in vitamin C, B-complex vitamins, calcium, magnesium, potassium, and iron, lemons are amazing for fighting free radicals in the body and naturally flushing toxins from the body. Sore Throat Remedy:

This is probably the most common use for lemons because the antibacterial properties help to combat throat infections. Drink this tea every few hours to help get rid of a sore throat.

Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 8 ounces hot water

Instructions:

  • Add all of the ingredients to a mug and mix well. If you need a little sweetener, add some agave or stevia. Drink several times a day.

 

Lemon For Menstrual Cramps:

Lemons contain a lot of vitamins and minerals that work to naturally alkalize the body. Additionally, they work to keep you properly hydrated. When combined with ginger and consumed, you’ll notice relief from menstrual cramps.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups water
  • juice from ½ a lemon
  • 1-inch piece of ginger, peeled and grated
  • 1 tablespoon raw honey

Instructions:

  • Add the water, lemon juice, and grated ginger to a saucepan and bring it to a boil. Once the water is boiling, remove from the heat and let it cool for 20 minutes.
  • Mix in 1 tablespoon of honey and drink the mixture. It helps to keep you hydrated and works to calm menstrual cramps.

This remedy works to break up mucus and flush toxins from the body. Both the apple cider vinegar and the lemon work to neutralize pH levels and support the immune system.

  • 2 teaspoons raw apple cider vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons raw honey
  • 1-2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 8 ounces hot water

Lemons have a powerful effect on headache pain. The properties in lemon work to reduce the intensity of headache pain, so drink the following tea to help.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of water
  • 1-inch piece of ginger, sliced
  • 1-2 fresh lemon slices

Instructions:

  • Add the water, ginger, and lemon slices to a saucepan and bring to a boil. Once the mixture comes to a boil, simmer on low heat for 10 minutes. Remove from the heat and let it cool. Strain into a mug so that you don’t drink the lemon and ginger pieces.

    Q: I love to drink water, but I like to drink hot water you know boiling water slightly cooled. Is there a benefit, or disadvantage to this compared to drinking room temperature water?     Q: Is sea salt and warm water a good natural laxative? If so how often do you recommend the use of sea salt for elimination? I was reading The Master Cleanser by Stanley Burroughs and it gives this recommendation, along with drinking lemon water mixed with organic syrup and cayenne pepper. Is it safe to give myself an enema 2xs per day using a hot water bottle filled with fresh squeezed organic lemon and distilled water? Asking this because Bzod had me to listen to 88.3 today here in Cincinnati and the guy (Mike) was telling how he does this regularly and has great results.

    Yes, sea salt in water is a mild laxative!

    You can do it as often as you FEEL the need to drink or take it. 

    You can also consume the Master Cleanse (cayenne, maple syrup, lemon juice) if you choose. You can drink this as much as you like depending on how you feel.

    Q: I'm doing the Full Body Cleanse and I have a few questions about it: I get tired of drinking just the distilled water and I'd like to drink the herbal teas, but I don't like it by itself. Would it mess things up to add a pack or two of Splenda to my tea or maybe honey? I can't stand the salads with the olive oil or apple cider vinegar or the lemon juice as dressing and it makes me gag. I have To have some sort of salad dressing. What kind would be suitable?     1. Instead of splenda, use agave, stevia, or grade b maple syrup as a sweetener.

    2. In re Salad Dressing, an organic and natural one is great. You can also check our website for salad dressing recipes.

    3. The fiber pills are not part of the cleanse, so we wouldn't advise those. Fruit is you best choice of fiber so look into eating more papaya, mango, figs, etc. And yes, colonics (and enemas) would greatly help you - undoubtedly!

    Q: Question, I usually drink distilled water but for the last month or so I?ve been drinking more sparkling water with lemon ["Blu' Italy"] ...it sparkling water good for u or no?

    It's your choice! If it has carbonation in it, I wouldn't drink too much of it. Spring water is best on the market (unless you can find a brand of water that is alkaline and antioxidant).     Q: I started the full body detox today, and found that I DO NOT like the salad dressing I made with the olive oil, apple cider vinegar and lemon juice. I found I could not tolerate it on my salad. What can I do instead? Another question is... I noticed lentils on the food combining chart. Those have to be cooked.     Q: Dasani water, if I remember correctly, was banned from the U.K. It contains salt as well as potassium chloride. Essentia contains calcium chloride, as well as sodium bicarbonate, magnesium sulfate, dipotassium phosphate. Are all the ingredients in Essentia safe? One would have do an independent test on the water. Dasani is crap and I no longer drink Essentia but it would be my brand of choice of bottled water if I was to purchase water again.

    Q: I am in need of cleansing my body and weight removal! (Removal and not loss because I don't want to find it again)!     Q: My question is what could be causing my puffy eyes? I've had them for probably 6 or 8 months now (maybe more). They sometimes will have a little darkness added to them.     Q: I've been a vegan for 2 years now. I've done the FBD 3 times in these two years, but my urine is still yellow. The only time it is clear is immediately after I drink water (reverse osmosis water). If I miss a day of drinking water, my urine goes back to being dark yellow. If you are urinating within 10-15 minutes of drinking water you are not absorbing the water, and thus you require micro-clustered water which an alkaline (and ionizing) water machine does.     Q: I started my full body detox program yesterday and this morning I stopped into Jamba Juice to get a wheatgrass shot.
