Feeling sluggish or fatigued can be a sign of an ill-functioning digestive system. It is most always a diet-related issue, primarily caused by the hard-to-digest foods that are in the Standard American Diet. Luckily, there are natural ingredients that work to flush out whatever has built up in the digestive tract.
According to Ayurveda practices, one of the best ways to stimulate the digestive process is to do so before you eat your meal. It has been documented that eating a fresh slice of ginger root with a few drops of lemon juice before a meal helps to activate the digestive system. Once this happens, it is best to drink a glass of filtered, room temperature water. If you do suffer from digestive issues, sipping room temperature liquids during the meal may be beneficial.
Ginger is an amazing spice that has amazing medicinal properties, which have been used for over 2,000 years. Ginger is commonly used to flush water weight from the body and relieve gas and bloating. When you consume ginger, it actually helps you to better absorb the nutrients in the foods you eat!
