DIY Homemade Colon Cleanse

DIY Homemade Colon Cleanse

Chronic constipation, leaky gut, and irritable bowel syndrome are some of the most common digestive issues in the United States. These issues are most commonly attributed to foods in the Standard American Diet, because they are difficult for the body to digest. Since the colon has to work hard to eliminate waste, it is critical to keep it as healthy as possible.

Maintaining a healthy colon is a combined effort of balancing your diet and cleansing it every so often. While certain people enjoy colonics to maintain colon health, there are fresh foods that nourish the colon and clean it out simultaneously. If you are someone who suffers from chronic constipation or bowel troubles, you may benefit from a colon cleanse. After completing a colon cleanse, many people experience regular bowel movements, weight loss, and better energy levels.

Does It Cost A Lot To Cleanse The Colon?

A homemade colon cleanse does not need to cost an arm and a leg. The ingredients in this juice are readily available at the grocery store and assist with relieving constipation. One thing to keep in mind when you decide to do the colon cleanse is that you should plan to stay at home, allowing your body time to adjust to the changes in waste elimination.

How To Do This Cleanse

It is best to drink this colon cleansing juice on an empty stomach in the morning. Consume another glass of the juice before eating a light lunch, which preferably consists of steamed vegetables and quinoa or brown rice. Finally, consume another cup of this juice in the mid-afternoon. Because this juice encourages you to eliminate more than normal, make sure you drink at least eight eight-ounce glasses of room temperature water throughout the day to avoid dehydration. After five o’clock in the evening, however, slow your consumption of liquids to avoid using the restroom several times during the night.

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup warm purified water
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 cup 100% pure organic apple juice
  • 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon ginger juice

Instructions:

  • Pour the water into a small saucepan over medium heat. You don’t want to boil the water; rather, you want to heat it to a safe drinking temperature that you can tolerate.
  • Once the water is warm, pour it into a tall glass. Add the sea salt and stir it with a metal spoon to dissolve the salt.
  • Add the apple juice, lemon juice, and ginger juice to the glass and stir to combine.
  • Drink this entire cup on an empty stomach in the morning. Make another batch of this before eating a light lunch, and make another batch mid-afternoon.
