Lyme Disease

Lyme Disease

The condition was originally described in the community of Lyme, Connecticut, but has also been reported in other parts of the northern United States and sporadically in other countries.

Causes and Risk Factors

It is reported that Lyme disease is the most common tick-borne disease in the Northern hemisphere. The disease is transmitted to humans by bite from infected ticks. However, it is reported that less than 1% of tick bites result in Lyme disease.

In the United States, the black-legged tick (a/k/a/ deer tick) is the major transmitter whereas in Europe the sheep tick or castor bean tick is the major transmitter. In the U.S., 100,000 Lyme disease cases are reported each year.

It is very helpful to locate the cause of the infection in your environment if you can and protect yourself from bites by wearing long pants, long sleeves and taking other precautionary measures such as avoid walking through thick brush, especially during tick season.

Symptoms

Symptoms most commonly reported by Lyme Disease sufferers include:

  • Local inflammation and swelling at the knees, other large joints, and temporamandibular joints are most commonly involved.
  • Chills
  • Fever
  • Headache
  • Malaise
  • Erythema chronicum migrans (ECM), an expanding skin eruption, often precede the joint manifestation

Symptoms appear in recurrent episodes, lasting usually about 1 week, at intervals of from one to several weeks, declining in severity over a 2 or 3-year period.

The Metaphysics of Lyme Disease

If there is any metaphysical or energetic causative factor that explains Lyme disease and why you are infected with it, it would be that perhaps you are very ‘biting’ (harsh, cruel) in your wit or criticism and/or perhaps very pestering which means to trouble or annoy (someone) with frequent or persistent requests or interruptions and you need to check yourself immediately.

Perhaps you get ‘under the skin’ of certain people, or it could be that certain people get ‘under your skin’ by using ‘biting’ remarks and constantly pestering you and you do absolutely nothing about it and a Lyme disease infection may be a message to you that it’s time to put an end to the ‘biting’ words and pestering that ‘gets under your skin’ and makes your blood ‘boil’ (inflame) or vice versa.

Healing Lyme Disease

Perform the sea salt soak as much as possible, preferably daily. Sea salt soaks can help cleanse the skin, which is the largest organ in the body. They can also help draw toxins out of the body and supply the body with healthy doses of magnesium.

For external application, if there are skin eruptions, use aloe vera gel to cool and soothe any inflammation that may result in response to being infected. You can also use calendula cream or gel as well for soothing and calming purposes.

Dietary Intervention

Lastly, the better you eat, the better state your internal organs, glands, systems, and fluids will be. Give raw foods and vegan entrees a try. Curb your consumption of meat, dairy products, refined starches and grains, sugar, salt, and other junk products.
