Red Raspberry Leaf and Pregnancy

Red Raspberry Leaf comes from raspberry plant. The plant has been used for centuries as a natural remedy for many conditions. The leaf is rich in vitamins and minerals.

One of the many uses of Red Raspberry Leaf has been for pregnancy. It is thought to be helpful in easing delivery and in enriching a mother’s milk.

Today, there are many reports being published stating that Red Raspberry Leaf is in fact unsafe during pregnancy. In our opinion, this claim is false. Throughout history, this herb has been used safely and has shown to be beneficial to women, both pregnant and not.

Red Raspberry Leaf and Women’s Health

This leaf has been called “woman’s best friend” by some. Woman can consume the herb pregnant or not pregnant for reproductive health benefits. Red Raspberry Leaf is highly beneficial to a woman’s reproductive system for many reasons. The plant contains healthy estrogen-like compounds. These compounds boost the health of a woman’s reproductive system.

Since this estrogen is natural and not synthetic, it will not harm the body at all. In fact, the added natural estrogen will help strengthen a woman’s reproductive system. Red Raspberry Leaf is a great form of this natural estrogen.

Avoid taking synthetic estrogen supplements. They can be full of harmful chemicals and additives that are not beneficial to a woman’s body.

Red Raspberry Leaf and Pregnancy

Red Raspberry Leaf’s major function in a woman’s first trimester of pregnancy is to provide necessary nutrition to the baby. Another way the herb helps during pregnancy is by lowering the chance of spontaneous abortion during the first trimester. Other herbs can have similar affects on the body. Adding the following herbs to Red Raspberry Leaf can have great benefits:

  • Beth Root
  • Shepherd’s Purse
  • Lady’s Mantle
  • Hawthorn Berry
  • Cayenne
  • Capsicum Fruit
  • Cranesbills
  • Goldenseal

In addition to helping a woman prevent from miscarrying, Red Raspberry Leaf provides organic, digestible, absorbable and assailable iron that can be taken every day. Many women suffer from an iron deficiency and that rate increases during pregnancy. Red Raspberry Leaf can help to alleviate low iron levels.

Red Raspberry Leaf will fully carry and support a woman nutritionally and therapeutically during pregnancy, childbirth and post-partum.

Also, Red Raspberry Leaf has been shown to increase the production of breast milk.

Red Raspberry Leaf will tone, cleanse, strengthen, rejuvenate and build the entire female reproductive tract. It’s one of the most reliable, effective and beneficial herbs for inflammation of the reproductive system.

Other Benefits of Red Raspberry Leaf

While this herb is great to take while pregnant, there are also other benefits to woman. Some other ways Red raspberry Leaf helps the female body include:

  • Providing Iodine to help regulate the thyroid gland
  • Regulating periods and alleviating the unpleasant side effects
  • Reducing anemia
  • Menopause
  • Low Blood Sugar
  • Provide sulfur and silicon for strong hair and nails

Q: I am in my first trimester of pregnancy and have been taking your PRE-NATAL FORMULA. I came online to look for other formulas for pregnancy and noticed the HEALTHY PREGNANCY. Cramp Bark is in healthy pregnancy, which you mention in your article it’s not safe for a pregnant woman to use. So I wanted to know the reason for the use of it in the Healthy Pregnancy? What are some other formulas besides the green formula and prenatal are beneficial during pregnancy?

    A:

CRAMP BARK BY ITSELF SHOULD NOT BE USED DURING PREGNANCY. MY FORMULAS ARE COMPOUNDED WITH OTHER HERBS FOR PARTICULAR REASONS WHICH LESSEN THEIR MAJOR EFFECTS. PLUS, THE FORMULAS ARE MIXED WITH SPECIFIC INTENT. THEY ARE PROGRAMMED. OTHER GOOD PRE-NATAL FORMULAS INCLUDE MSM SULFUR, VITAMIN C FORMULA, AND IODINE PHOSPHATE.

Q: Thank you for the cancer info...It is welcome and beyond informative, however, I take issue with your remark that "women would be wise to just accept the fact that they are female by nature and God made them to have (deliver) babies and they should stop trying to compete with and be like men." Part of me is not surprised--men make comments like this all the time. I chalk it up to ignorance, as men enjoy living their entire lives not having to endure periods, pregnancy, breastfeeding, and lord knows what else. So because a woman does not want to have children--at all, or at a particular time in her life--she wants to be a man?! That's an illogical conclusion you are making. So why are there pregnant women with cancer, some of which who have never taken BC pills? Are women entitled to making any sort of control over their reproductive health? What about women who are infertile, naturally? If they develop cancer, is it because they never gave birth to a child? Are you willing to support all of the children that will result from women not being on Birth Control, since many people cannot afford several children on their incomes? This line of reasoning makes some women think that men really need to get over themselves. I think you have been reading too much Freud. Some women, present company included, appreciate our femininity and everything that encompasses being a woman. At the same time, this is not the dark ages--and even then, women chose not to have children during different times in their lives. Surely you are aware that in non-Western countries women utilize natural herbs to control their reproduction or as abortifacients? I am not advocating abortion; my point is that if you are going to criticize women taking BC pills, you may as well extend this criticism to women naturally preventing pregnancy via alternative means.

    A:

Birth control pills play a big role in female reproductive cancers. Women would be wise to just accept the fact that they are female by nature and God made them to have (deliver) babies and they should stop trying to compete with and be like men. In attempting to stop or prevent life (birth control), they are ending up losing their very own lives. And the birth control pills cause cancer in areas of the body that denote femininity (breasts, ovaries, fallopian tubes, cervix, uterus and vagina). This is a form of language here. You have disease and female organ(s) which basically means your disease is specifically related to an issue of femaleness or femininity, that's why the disease manifests in these "female" organs. In attempting to be like and compete with males, females compromise their feminine integrity and goddess nature which "eats them up" (anger, frustration, sadness, etc.) inside. When the cancer appears in any female organ, it serves as a sign or sensor that the problem lies on a deeper metaphysical level pertaining to emotions, thoughts and attitude."

Q: Unfortunately, I think it will be impossible to order and get the products you mentioned. I ordered a pack of organic seeds last year from Holland, and experienced many difficulties getting it. (due to the very bad posting services in my country) Meanwhile, I made some researches about olive leaf, and listened to my inner voice. I'm going to try to use olive leaf tea as a natural anti-viral. What is your opinion about that? And do you have any information about the best way to prepare this drink as a medical treatment? (dosage, how much time it has to be simmered and how)

    A:

You are very welcome, Beloved! Olive Leaf is a very powerful and effective herb, especially for cases of so-called viruses. Because it's an herb you really can't take too much of it. Personally, 3 is the magic number, so I'd recommend 3 times per day (tea or capsule form).

Q: I have used a product similar to your Bowel Mover which has both senna leaf and cascara sagrada as ingredients. Recently I had a colonoscopy and the gastroenterologist found staining from these ingredients. He also told me that if I continued to use them that they would have a reverse effect, making my minimal peristaltic action stop completely. What is your thoughts on my continued use of these products? Are there any herbs that would strengthen my peristaltic action, making it work on its own?

    A:

It is not true about the herbs. Plants are not like drugs! These herbs will not stain anything in your body. They are organic plants. Doctors are one half of all problems for giving people wrong information, usually in which people will believe or start thinking about. Stick with herbs for your healing. Try our COLON FORMULA and/or BOWEL MOVERand change your diet and you will be fine. Try nature!

Q: I am a woman who happens to be diabetic and now I am pregnant. I would like to know what foods I should eat and restrain from while I am still pregnant. I am also taking insulin to keep my blood sugar levels low enough as not to harm my baby. They are telling me I need to eat dairy and meat to meet the dietary requirements for a healthy baby. Please help me.

    A:

Congratulations on your pregnancy. New life is such a wonderful thing!

We recommend that you drink our Pancreas tea (1-2 cups a day).

Eat plenty of cinnamon, ginger, and cayenne pepper. Abstain from dairy products and meat products. If anything, eat meat-less (vegan) alternatives -- you can find plenty in our Alternative Diet and Lifestyle Manual ($11).

Eat plenty of nutrient-rich fruits and vegetables. You can eat steamed vegetables and brown and/or wild rice (with vegan chicken if you like). Just switch meat for vegan products and switch to non-dairy products or dairy alternatives (which can be found in the Alternative Diet and Lifestyle manual) in order to receive the necessary nutrition without any harmful side effects.

For great nutrition for your baby, we recommend the following Dherbs formulas: PRE-NATAL FORMULA, VITAMIN C FORMULA, ELECTRIC GREENS, and Iodine Formula.

For natural sugar, try Stevia, Agave Nectar, and/or Grade B maple syrup.

Q: I am nine weeks pregnant and having a difficult time. Before I was pregnant I was on an incredible herbal regimen that had me feeling like superwoman. But my herbalist is not very knowledgeable of what herbs are safe for pregnant women. I eat healthy, taken all-natural prenatal vitamins, but would like to do more to get that "Superwoman" feeling back. Is there a book u could recommend that might help educate me as to which herbs are safe and which to avoid during pregnancy?

    A:

I know the feeling you're talking about. There are many books on herbs and pregnancy.

    Check out these 2 books:

"Herbal Healing For Women" by Rosemary Gladstar

"The Complete Woman's Herbal" by Anne McIntyre

Herbs to avoid while pregnant include all OXYTOCIC herbs or herbs that make the uterus contract, i.e. Black Haw, Beth Root, Black Cohosh, Blue Cohosh, etc.; all ABORTAFACIENT (abortion-inducing herbs) such as Pennyroyal, Rue, etc.

Study up on abortaficient herbs and oxytocic herbs and you'll be fine.

Read our article on Pre Natal Health on our site under "Articles."

You can have a healthy all-natural pregnancy and delivery.

Q: I am 27 years old, 5'7", 125 lbs. I'm in good health; I haven't had any major health problems. The only health complaint I have is horrible menstrual cycles. After coming upon your website, I've decided to make major dietary changes. I've also decided to do the TOTAL WOMAN CLEANSE, and I've also ordered the maintenance herbs you've suggested for after the cleanse. I'd like to begin doing the TOTAL WOMAN CLEANSE and the FULL BODY DETOX regularly according to the seasons. I didn't order both at the same time due to financial reasons. My plan is to do the total woman cleanse at the start of fall...the full body detox at the start of winter...then again the woman's cleanse at the start of spring...and the FULL BODY DETOX at the start of summer. Is this a good plan? Or is there a more beneficial way for me to get the results I want?

    A:

It's a great plan and you'll love these cleanses and your body will thank you (and you can kiss those menstrual problems away as well). Thank you for your interest in Dherbs.Com!

Q: I am interested in purchasing your healthy pregnancy tablets. I suffered a miscarriage in August of this year and I just found out that I am pregnant again this week. With the last pregnancy I spotted all the way up until heavy bleeding began and I lost the baby at just under eight weeks. I did have some light spotting this time when I was due to get my period for a few days but nothing like the last pregnancy. Do you have any advice for me on what I should do ? Are the tablets only for if you are experiencing a threatened miscarriage or do you take them regularly ? I was taking Agnus Castus before I conceived but is it true that you shouldn't take it when pregnant? I have discontinued using it. I would be ever so grateful for your advice! What do you recommend? Thanks so much for your time.

    A:

I'm working on an article about "UTERINE SENSE" at present. Take the HEALTHY PREGNANCYand STYPTIC Formula capsules daily, even if you're not bleeding. Take these 2 formulas for the 1st Trimester. Drink plenty of vegetable juice too. Think positive and reaffirm daily that you can hold to term.

Q: Please reply to this (I will not buy from you unless you reply to my email; I want to check some things with you before I buy): 1- Please tell me if the following products in your website can be taken by pregnant women: folic acid, iron phosphate, bioflavonoid formula, iodine phosphate, multi vitamins and minerals, vitamin c formula, b-vitamin complex, iron phosphate tea? 2- I want to buy all the nutrients (vitamins, minerals, etc.) that I need for my baby (I'm 3 months pregnant). If I buy the multi vitamins and minerals, do I need to supplement any additional products that I mentioned above (esp. folic acid, vitamin c, iron, b-vitamin complex)? 3- I also want to buy Eklampein formula, prenatal laxative, prenatal formula, healthy pregnancy, and prenatal tea. Since I can't buy all the products that I mentioned in this email; I need your help to buy less. Because the ones that I will buy; I will buy enough to last me about 5/6 months (so I will still be buying so many from you even if I buy 3 or 4 different products). I don't have enough money; please work with me and tell me which ones I need for complete prenatal care and since I will be buying too many; please give me discount (so I can afford it and take good care of myself and my baby in the same time).

    A:

Folic acid, iron phosphate, bioflavonoid formula, iodine phosphate, multi vitamins and minerals, vitamin c formula, b-vitamin complex, iron phosphate tea can all be taken by a pregnant woman. You could delete bioflavonoid and B-vitamin complex though and still get necessary nutrition for your pregnancy. And yes, Dherbs.Com will give you a nice discount on a large order. Now here's what I would personally suggest for a great pre-natal regimen: PRE-NATAL FORMULA ELECTRIC GREENS CELL FOOD VITAMIN C FORMULA IODINE PHOSPHATE FOLIC ACID IRON PHOSPHATE FORMULA PRE-NATAL TEA PRENATAL LAXATIVE (optional)

Are they O.K.? Secondly, are there some nuts to stay away from and is there a limit to how much you should consume?

    A:

Raw food restaurants sell RAW FOODS. That's recommended during the Full Body Detox. No problem here! Read our article WHAT IS RAW FOODS. The only nuts you might want to stay away from are peanuts. Glad to hear the detox I going swell!

Q: I gave birth a week ago and am at home recovering. I feel like this was the healthiest pregnancy up until I was hit by another car who ran a red light. I was 34 weeks at that time. In the emergency room I did not know until afterwards that they injected me with steroids to speed up the development of the baby's lungs. This caused crazy side effects and at 37 weeks I had to give birth. She is fine, a little jaundice, but overall she is doing better than my first two children. I believe it has much to do with the fact that I took your pregnancy and calcium supplements. Thank You. My question to you is what should I be taking now? I am breast feeding and want to make sure that we are both going to be fine with what I ingest. Also, ever since the accident I have craved sugar. I have not been able to stop snacking. I would also like to point out that my hair fell out with my last pregnancy. I would like to avoid that as well. Thank you for listening and advising.

    A:

10-DAY ELECTRIC GREENS CELL FOOD CLEANSE! After the cleanse, take SUGAR BUSTER Formula every morning or before you eat anything sweet! Congrats on the new birth!
