Are you getting enough sleep? Well, in order to answer that question, you, of course, have to know what enough sleep even means. Over and over again, we’re told 7-8 hours a night is where it’s at – with countless studies backing up this assumption. A new study that sleep experts predict could “transform the field of sleep” is calling all of that into question.
The study took a look at several native tribes throughout the world and found that people in communities without electricity slept about 6 1/2 hours a night. This surprising news as popular belief would hold that it’s our glowing screens and electronics that are keeping us awake after dusk.
