Q: I read your article on protein. Will I lose muscle mass if I cut the protein out? I have already done away with meats and I don't want to become skinny. How do preserve my muscle tone with out taking the whey protein?
A: You can still receive your daily required value of protein from vegetarian sources, such as avocado, almonds, and pumpkin seeds. You can also add vegan protein powder to smoothies.
Q: My king and I are vegans. We are interested in a Full Body Detox kit. Since we do not eat any type of poultry or meat, we didn't want anything that would be too harsh. Which kit do you recommend for vegans - the Full Body Detox, Parasite & Worm Kit or something else? What would you recommend for purifying the spiritual ka and physical bath?
I would recommend the FULL BODY DETOX hands down!
For purifying the spiritual ka I would use all 7 chakra elixirs and get chakra balancing performed or learn to do it yourself. Purifying physical ka: Full Body Detox, bathing in sea salt and essential oils, and some of the other things offered in the "Alternative Diet and Lifestyle Manual" and "Full Body Detox Companion."
Q: Do you know of any cookbooks or recipe books for Afrikan vegans?
Interesting you inquire because Dherbs.com is working on one that we just started compiling last week. Stay tuned! We hope to have it (e-book edition) completed within the next 3 months.
Thanks for the question Rick. Here are three ideal foods for those who weight train.
Oatmeal: 1/4 cup of oats yields 7-8 grams of protein. Imagine eating a whole cups worth. That's 28 grams!!! Now what if you soaked them in soy milk. Add another 8 grams. I usually do my oatmeal with soy milk, a tbsp. of ground seeds, tbsp. cinnamon, tsp. nutmeg, tbsp. maple syrup. The long burning starchy carbohydrates are perfect muscle building fuel! Also you get the anti-inflammatory spices that help recovery time and oxygenate the blood!
Spirulina: Spirulina is a superfood that boasts a large amount of amino acids that are hard to get in the plant world. Find a green powder with spirulina and watch the muscles grow! A greens powder is also alkaline and aids in recovery.
Tempeh: Tempeh is a fermented soy/rice product that is super nutrient/protein dense. 1 serving has 20 grams of protein in it! I would flash fry strips in coconut oil, season, and use as croutons in salad.
I hope those three options help you and feel free to ask any more questions you have. I am currently coaching raw vegan bodybuilders and other fitness athletes on my health coaching program. If that is something you are interested in and would like a free consultation with me just fill out the health history form found here. http://the-vegan-effect.healthcoach.integrativenutrition.com/forms. we will then set up a time when we can skype!

Q: What is the best supplement (protein or herbal) to take to help build muscle for strength training and bodybuilding? All these protein powders on the market I've stopped taking because of all the sugar, whey and casinete; among other weight (fat) inducing ingredients.
Try Vegan Protein on our site. It's all natural and 100% absorbable! You'll find it beneficial. There's a capsule and a powdered version. Take both if you're really into protein.
Spirulina is the BEST individual natural source of protein (75% bio-protein)!
Q: I have lots of protein in my urine and want to do all I can about it. I am rather discouraged about the doctors view on this. I think there is something I can do!
Yes there is something you can do - DETOX! Perform the FULL BODY DETOX and drink plenty of vegetable and watch your problem go away! Protein in the urine denotes you're eating too much meat and dairy!!!!!
Q: I just began the cleanse. My concern is that I am not getting enough protein. I have been eating nuts, and I will not eat uncooked beans or peas. What can I do to get more protein while I am on this 20 day regiment?
A: Great question. There is protein in a lot of the vegetables that we eat. Think about it like this, elephants are vegetarians, and they are some of the biggest/strongest animals around. Eat plenty of leafy green vegetables (kale, spinach, etc.), goji berries, nuts, broccoli, avocados, beets, cauliflower, and asparagus.
Q: Can you advise me as to whether there is a cure for Protein C Deficiency, a condition that causes blood clots.
Simply detoxify your body (2-4 times per year), eat plenty of live, raw foods including consume vegetable juice, consume Dherbs.com Styptic Formula (3 capsules per day), and you'll be fine. These things above will help you dissolve blood clots.
Q: There is a raw bar called Raw Crunch Energy Bar - Goji Berry, and a raw protein drink called-Raw Power! (Chocolate) Protein Superfood Blend (raw, organic), can these be taken on the detox to sub for a salad while at work?
As long as the nutrition bars are made from RAW FOODS, they are ok. Please check the ingredients label to make sure they are within the parameters of the cleanse guidelines.
Q: I work out at the gym at 6am till 7:30am hard six days a week. Since I'm eating raw foods while detoxing, what will help me keep up that same intensity in the gym. Will protein bars or protein powder help? Maybe you can recommend something? Thank you!
Q: I would like to find an herbal treatment to high protein levels, I am diabetic and have that under control but I need to lower to do my job. I would like to order or pick up something what would you suggest?
The goal should be to heal from diabetes. Look into our Pancreas Kit and Regimen and perform it at least twice a year.
Q: I would like if I can continue working out (taking creatine & protein)because I just started the FULL BODY DETOX (FBD) program?
Please learn what RAW means as in RAW FOODS, Beloved! Read the article "WHAT IS RAW FOODS"? This way you'll know what you can eat and what you cannot eat on the FBD!
Q: Hello, I recently purchased full body cleanse. The problem is that I am a body builder and it is impossible to not consume protein for 21 days, I also do not consume soy products. How do I get around this and still accomplish a sufficient level of detoxing. Can I eat wild game, fish, and whey protein? Any information would be appreciated.
You may not consume wild game, fish or whey protein. However, you can try the Vegan Protein to mix with smoothies. Spinach, kale, and raw nuts and seeds are also good sources of protein.
Q: Truth indeed. I just finished watching this youtube video, on mass control, fluoridation, and mercury poisoning. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?Feature=player_embedded). I wondered if there were any herbs, or natural rememdies that can counteract this? I am in my mid 30s, and feel as though I am going through alziehmers (growing forgetfulness, absent-mindedness, foggy thinking, ADHD, hypersensetivity to noises so as to find it almost impossible to concentrate). I have my "Back to Eden" Book, I will continue digging for answers there too.
Don't look for answers or solutions primarily from sources outside of the body. There are herbs, but first use your mind. Mental healing! will your healing into fruition. Good herbs that will assist include Gingko Biloba, Ginseng (all types), and Gotu Kola. Dherbs.com Brain Tuner, CNS, and Ethereal Bliss are also helpful for your condition.
Q: I just ordered the FULL BODY DETOX and I know there's a dietary regimen that I will have to follow. I was wondering if you would approve of a protein shake that consist of (raw hemp protein powder, raw almond butter, sea salt, flax seed, 100% young coconut water & meat inside the coconut, raw carob powder,) (optional soy or rice milk or soy or rice cream)
Doesn't sound like it will mess up your FULL BODY DETOX. Go for it! But leave out the rice/soy cream! The rice milk is okay (but it is processed/cooked)!
Q: Can I continue to take my organic hemp protein?
You can consume organically natural hemp protein while on the cleanses, however we prefer to let the herbs work on it's own. A lot of people feel like they need an additional amount of protein while on the cleanse, but the best source of protein is within the foods we consume.
