    Q: I am 6'0 starting day 1 at 246, on day 4, I hit 236. But for 3 days I am at the same weight. Do I need to workout to lose more weight, if so what are some good workouts for my body type. Most of my weight is in the midsection.

    Hi, thanks for the question.

    Your body does not like rapid changes in weight and will fight you along the way. These are called plateaus. It's too early to panic and by the time you get this email I am pretty sure your weight will have shifted again. You cannot spot lose weight. Your body picks and chooses where it gains weight and where it loses weight. sometimes they aren't the same places.

    Working out always helps the process. Here is a blog I wrote, Three Successful Fitness Habits for Sustained Weight, on three successful habits for sustained weight loss.  

    Fitness for weight loss is interval cardio training and circuit weight training.

    Example of both would be:
    Interval training on bike.
    3 minute warmup
    30 seconds of high speed
    1 minute of recovery
    repeat for 15 minutes till 30 minutes.

    Circuit training (five rounds-1 minute rest in between rounds)
    Mountain climbers x 20
    Pushups x 20
    Squats x 20
    Bent over rows x 15
    Crunches x 25

    Q: I really love what you're doing and you have a brilliant approach in getting the information out to the masses. I just finished watching your youtube footage. Very Nice! I am a Kung-Fu Martial Artist and I've been experiencing discomfort in my knees. I workout regularly.     Q: Can I do a 45-minute cardio while doing the Full Body Cleanse? The Doctor claims I am a Type II Diabetic and I have decided to cleanse and then do the Pancreas Cleanse as well.     It's best to keep exercise to a minimum. When you exercise your body pulls blood away from your core and into your limbs (fight or flight response). That directs blood away from your healing response. Also high impact or weight training requires more calories and more protein which will over work the organs that should be using their energy healing.

    Q: Just had my yearly mammogram and they seen a nodual on my right side of breast. They want to do a sterotactic core biopsy, they want to leave in a titanium chip in my breast, is there anything that I can take to get good mammogram screening?

    Q: I was wondering in your list you include foods that are classified as acidic (AC). I thought we were to avoid acidic foods so we can stay alkaline or do we need some acidic foods?     Q: Hello I am on day TWO of 10-DAY SUPREME COLON CLEANSE;. May I eat a half cup rolled organic rolled oats a day. I eat the oats to provide fuel just before my two hour core ,spinning and rowing class. May I continue to drink Ivy's drink ?     You are free to eat as you please via free will. But we suggest the eating recommendations for a reason. The oats are okay (except they create mucus) and the Ivy's Drink is okay (nothing adverse to the cleanse)and sounds like a pretty healthy tonic.

    Q: Is there such thing as, cleansing too much? From May - July I did a 40 day cleanse. The cleanse was pretty much ridding my diet of refined sugar, flour, alcohol, and animal product for much of the time. I just recently finished the Total Body Cleanse, and will be finishing my series of cleanses with the Total Woman's Cleanse. I personally feel fine, but people keep warning me about over cleansing. Also, bringing up the issue of your body being stripped of the good bacteria (along with the bad). But, I"ve taken probiotic pills (1-2) virtually everyday througout all of my cleanses. Should I be concerned with overcleansing? After this initial year of hard core cleansing, I plan to cleanse maybe once or twice a year. What are you thoughts on probiotics? Like I mentioned, I am taking pills. But I'd like to find foods that provide all that I need so I don't have to take pills.

    Many people are concerned about what happens to the beneficial intestinal flora after colonics are performed. Personally, I think many people put too much energy into worrying about something so inconsequential. If you're really worried about the beneficial intestinal flora after your colonic, you could always take a few capsules of acidophilus (acidophilus bifidus) or a liquid form of acidophilus (dairy-free, of course). I have never taken an acidophilus product after a colonic. I know Nature and my body too well. I know that my body naturally produces everything sold by man in a bottle, and that is purchased from a health food store, including beneficial flora or bacteria.     Q: I just purchased the FULL BODY DETOX and I have a question. I work a full time job (office work) and a part time job (cleaning). I'm worried if I will be able to work while doing the detox, I also workout (weight lifting) and with eating raw foods and no cooked food, I'm wondering if I will make it the 3 weeks doing this.     Q: I have a questions, hope you have answers for me...I have been diagnosis with a ovarian cyst (1cm). Before I went to ER a week ago due to pain on my left abdominal are near my ovary's, my doctor run test and notify me that I had possibly two ovarian cysts and one might of burst on its own and I still have one which is not even 1 cm big. I was wondering what can you recommend to take to make cyst go away or if there is any natural herbs I could possible take to make it go away? My 2nd question is in regards to my cyst also, I workout daily for 1hour or so and lately I have notice that I gaining a lot of weight and my stomach is swollen from my left side were my cyst is located.     Being raw or vegan does not have to be hard or expensive. The most inexpensive food are rice and beans. If you are budget consciense you should gravitate towards those foods. Stach based foods are super cheap. You should check out the book "eating vegan on 4 dollars a day" or any of Dr. Mcdougal's programs.

    Exercise programs do not have to be expensive either. I am a master at building fitness plans with the minimal of equipment. If all you have is your body weight than I can build you a 90 day plan. The same goes if all you have is a resistance band, exercise ball, dumbells, kettlebell, etc.

    Q: Thank you so much for doing all that you do. I wish that you were in my everyday life...If I ever come to Cali, I hope to be able to take you up on some of your services. I have given your site out to many people that cross my paths...most recently, a man with diabetes who is going blind. He seemed to be quite thankful for your info...I do hope that he contacts you...and my friend who perhaps has a problem with a parasite(s). But me....okay just waiting for tax refund and then I will hit you up for another full-body detox...and perhaps a parasite kit myself...as it is sad but true..with my current boyfriend careless but kind...I now have a problem with genital herpes...a small breakout every other month...I eat well for the most part...ofcourse it could be better. But the stress is hish...I am working on that. But my question is...would an air purifier do me any good? You see I live in Dundalk, Maryland...near baltimore...near a Steel plant, and a yeast plant, and close to the military practice bombing sites, and other military negative stuff, and the city polluted with car pollution, tons of light pollution, and they spray for mosquitos...then I go to work and I work at a place called ABC Supply...great place right, well the stress is high, and the building we work in is shot...I swear there is mold under the carpets in one of the rooms...the ceiling is constantly leaking and we don't know what from...and the fumes from forklifts and the asphalt from the shingles...the filterfrom the intake gets changed like once a year...but is filled with 'shit' probably in a day or week. So the answer is to get a new job and move...yeah I know...I just don’t know how to do it...or where to go. Since I moved here, I have a problem with my ears...filling up with water or histimine or whatever...usually if I don't drink enough water near my menstrual cycle...I went to a doctor once and basically walked out of the office telling him what to do for his cold...yasee..he was no help...I knew more than him already....these past two years have been bad for allergies. Now, my ears and my throat...my nose too...though I do clean it out with water and that helps. I am not the only one. In the past two years there is a great number of people who say the same thing...they have never had a problem with allergies until these past two years. My grandmother and next door neighbor are two..but many more...well they just started up that steel mill again probably about that time...they sprayed hard core for mosquitos right before my grandmother started having problems...global warming for one...and i dont' know..but two years ago I was involved with a group of people sending out petitions against an LNG liquid natural gas plant that would bring in a ship two times the size of a football field and a huge pipe line to pennsylvania, and a skyscraper of a building to store the gas.     Q: I am on my 3rd day of the fully body cleansing. I am definitely doing this to lose weight. I am a 52 year old, black, Christian, wife, mother to 21 and 14 year old girls, legal secretary who is 450 lbs. I am to the point now where if I don't do this I'm going to be housebound. I can barely move some days that is why I started this because I feel so unhealthy. I have a question about the nuts. I got all gun-ho and ordered $135.00 worth of organic nuts from nuts.com. I got raisins, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, almonds, walnuts, pecans, pistachios and cashews and mixed them all up together (well I purchased 2 lbs of each but I only mixed up 1 lb of each together). Anyway, I was reading about how much calories are in nuts. Should I not pay attention to that because I was consuming a lot of calories in the first place or do I have to watch how many nuts I eat? I have put some nuts in a sandwich bags and basically filled it up and that is supposed to be my nuts ration for the day. I am also eating fruits and vegetables. So far the fruit have been grapes, grapefruit, red apples, pears, green apples and bananas. The vegetables have all been in a salad: tomatoes, celery spinach leaves, carrots, mixed in balsamic vinaigrette. I only ate the salad Monday night all the other times I have just eaten the fruit and nuts. I am also consuming approximately 75-100 oz of water. Sorry I’m long winded I just wanted you to get the entire picture.

    Nuts are best kept to a minimum if you use them at all. Nuts are extremely high in fat and have the opposite omega 3- omega 6 ratio that is optimal for health. Seeds are best as far as ratios are concerned. Also nuts are truly easy to over eat and cause your nutrient ratios to be off.

     

    A healthy vegan diet is a high raw fruitarian diet. 

    Example:

    Breakfast: green smoothie. (500-1000 calories of fruits blended with a handful of greens and water)

    Bridge: Dates and strawberries (500 calories) 

    Lunch: Salad with low sugar fruits (cucumber, tomato, squash, bell peppers) topped with fruit, beans, psuedo grains, 

    Bridge: 2-3 apples

    Dinner: Raw wraps (collard greens) with low sugar fruit and tahini

    Snack: Sorbet
