Q: I recently started a natural breast enhancement routine. I am using fenugreek seed, mint tea, and licorice. After I purchased the licorice, I noticed you can only take it for 4 - 6 weeks. I think maybe I should be taking something for 3 months. Should I get something different such as red clover, and saw palmetto to take with fenugreek, or stick with the licorice for the 6 weeks to see what happens any advice is greatly appreciated!

Q: Truth indeed. I just finished watching this youtube video, on mass control, fluoridation, and mercury poisoning. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?Feature=player_embedded). I wondered if there were any herbs, or natural rememdies that can counteract this? Q: Can I do a 45-minute cardio while doing the Full Body Cleanse? The Doctor claims I am a Type II Diabetic and I have decided to cleanse and then do the Pancreas Cleanse as well. A: You can still exercise while doing the cleanse, but we suggest only engaging in the light cardio instead of any intense workouts. Because you're on an adjusted diet that consists of mainly fruits and vegetables, you may burn through the foods faster as opposed to when you workout while consuming carbs or starchy foods. Q: I am a 33-year-old mother of a 2-year-old little boy. I live in Northern, New Jersey. Please recommend a holistic doctor for adults and a holistic pediatrician in the Northern New Jersey area. I also am having issues with fibroids. I had multiple fibroids removed last summer. Yesterday I went to my OB/GYN and had a histosonogram, which the doctor tells me it shows I have one polyp. In my mind I feel that this is something that should have been taken care of when I had the myomectomy. Is it possible they missed this polyp?????or could it have grown since last summer???I am beginning to feel like I am being butchered by the doctor. Please recommend a good holistic OB/GYN in the NJ area. Also, I do not want to have this polyp surgically removed. Q: I do not see much information on herbs for Lymes Disease? I was bitten by a tick last summer and have not felt the same since. My tests come back negative, but I read that Lymes tests are not reliable. Can you suggest a regimen for Lymes?

The Lymes Disease article will go up within a week. Stay abreast! First of all, herbs are not the best line of defense for the Lyme bug. It's an external problem so you need external measures (bathing in hot water, 2 boxes of sea salt added, 1 cup hydrogen peroxide). Do this for starters!

Q: Back in September, I experienced a terrible outbreak on my hand. Today is day 20 on my FBD, and I have another outbreak on my hand. The outbreak is not as severe as last time. I had an outbreak in my private area 2 days ago. This outbreak was not as severe as in my past. There was itching, but no bumps. I have gotten to the point, where I am going about my normal routine, like I did before I was diagnosed. Any suggestions for me in order to meet optimal health that will reverse herpes anyway?
A: First start with the Full Body Cleanse followed by the Anti-Viral Cleanse. Lastly you will perform the 10 Day Blood Cleanse. Q: First off let me say that I am a true believer in natural healing. I have had the "pleasure" of going through serious intestional complications, arthritis pain, foot issues and severe menstrual pain with no real help from conventional doctors or medicine. Q: My 4-year-old son has had mucus in his body since he was born probably, definitely due to the way I was eating back then while I was pregnant. Every morning he wakes up with a stuffy nose, summer or winter, and every day he sneezes several times and Every time there is plenty of snot that comes out. Q: I want to start the raw food diet, but do not want to lose weight has i am under weight already. I need tips to gain or at least maintain my weight. I do lift weights as part of my exercise routine.

Thanks for the question,
Losing "weight" on a raw foods diet is a definite probability. But the weight might be excess fat and water retention due to detoxing. By weight I am assuming you are talking about muscle. It is not that complicated to keep muscle while on a raw food diet. The Vegan Effect diet program I created is 60-90 percent raw. Raw before dinner if that helps. I allow myself one cooked meal a day. For the most part the diet is a Low fat/high carb/high fruit/high alkaline diet.
The most important thing to remember is getting enough calories. My athletes (including raw body builders) typically eat 1000 calories of fruit for breakfast in the form of a green smoothie. Usually post workout. You need to eat roughly 3000 calories to maintain or grow muscle mass. Some of my mass building athletes eat as much as 5000 calories. Albeit at a higher fat ratio than our standard 70/10/20 carb/fat/protein ratios.

Q: Hi, I am interested in your raw foods detox however, I am in the gym 6 days a week doing spinning, other cardio & weight training, will I be able to continue with my normal fitness routine during detox?

Hi Karen, Thanks for the question.
Detoxing and fitness.
The best way to detox your body is to give it the tools and time necessary to clean house. There are many types of detoxes and many avenues for fitness. The best way to detox is to rest the body while giving it the cleanest foods and herbs. However, some light forms of exercise like yoga, swimming, jogging, pilates are acceptable because they are light and won't require the amount of nutrients to repair and replenish. A raw food detox is sublime and is one fantastic step towards a healthier body and mind. I encourage you to try it.
What I would do is scale back on the exercise for the length of the detox and have fun! Go hiking and enjoy nature. A light jog instead of a spin class. I guarantee you will not lose strength or endurance during the detox. Intense exercise increases the bodies need for nutrients and protein.
Imagine if you will you have a desk at work. And work keeps piling up and no matter how you try to efficiently make it through you can't seem to get ahead. What detoxing is designed to do is give yourself the time to clean your desk. The most efficiently way for that to happen is to stop the work from coming in. Heavy exercise may increase your workload. You want your body to be in a cleaning mode and not a repair mode.
Again I would continue exercises that are light and stimulating. You want increased blood flow and you want to aid you lymph system to pump efficiently.
Lastly, if you are training for an event it may not be the best time to detox. Detoxing symptoms can throw you off your game. Best time to detox is the off season.

Q: Hello, this is my 2nd time doing the full body cleanse. I did it last year so now I'm doing it again. I started on Monday 3/9 and since have lost 5 lbs. Is that normal? Also why do you recommend Distilled water and not Spring and/or filtered (Brita). I have always drank a lot of water but roughly how many times a day should I urinate and how many times a day should I make a BM? When I did it the first time last year it was late Spring early Summer and incorporated a lot of walking which helped out a lot. This time not so much due to the horrible NY weather. A: Everyone's body is different and responds to the regimen differently. Losing 5 pounds in days is okay. Distilled water is the best type of water that helps to detox the body. You should be drinking half your body weight in water. Anything you put into your body you can expect it to come out. Bowel movements and urination is directly related to the foods and beverages you're consuming. Be sure that you're consuming three regular meals a day; eating fruits and vegetables with fiber.

I was wondering if adding 15 minute sunbathing to the cleanse would be helpful? The sun appears to be quite healing so I thought it may complement the cleanse. Sunbathing won't hurt your cleanse. Not at all! And no, being on your menses also won't hurt or impair your cleanse.
