Q: What's the best way to start on a vegan/raw food diet? I am not sure what to eat to make sure I would get a nutritious diet-you may not be able to go into that much detail but how can I get sample meal plans for breakfast, lunch and dinner incorporating this type of diet-perhaps there is somewhere on the web I find something like this? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

    A:

If I do say myself, the best way to start a raw food diet is to be coached by me. I run a 6 month health coaching program that is 60-90 percent raw and 100 percent vegan/gluten free/ allergy free. You can find out more about my program at www.theveganeffect.com. I am running a special of half off my program if you sign up before march 1st.

Here are some other tips to get started.

1: Join a raw food meetup group or community. Surround yourself with supportive people who can point you in the right direction. Try meetup.org or 30bananasaday.com

2: Read books like "beauty detox solution" by snyder, "80/10/10" by Dr. Graham., or "The Paradigm diet" by Adam Dave

3: Start simple with breakfast. Always start your day with a green smoothie. read "Green smoothie revolution" by forget authors name at the moment. heh.

A sample meal plan would be.

    Breakfast: Green smoothie

Bridge: raw bar, handful of nuts or seeds, or fruit

Lunch: Raw wraps made from collard greens. use a base of tahini, hummus, or nut butter. Fill with sprouts and colorful veggies

Bridge: raw bar, handful nuts or seeds, or fruit

Dinner: Raw pasta with a large salad

    Snack: Sorbet

    Hope that answers your question,

Q: I would like to order the cleanse for women... my husband is doing the full body cleanse now... what do you recommend for me... ? I really need to work on my diet am vegetarian however, I feel like I truly face some of the same issues you faced during your conversion.. perhaps I need to consider going back to strictly vegan vegetables! I use to be very healthy but now I take meds for stomach pains.. etc... but I have implemented flaxseed oil into my diet .. .what is your view on flaxseed..? I found this article to very interesting that you wrote.. I have headaches from time to time also.

    A:

We would recommend you perform the Full Body Cleanse to help remedy the sypmtoms you are experiencing. A raw foods diet is recommended while on the cleanse, so you are on the right track. Flaxseed Oil is a great product to have in your diet, as it provides healthy fats.

Q: My fiance has experienced water retention and discoloration in his right foot and leg for around 2 years. Doctors had him on water pills, coreg for vascular issues and glyberide for high blood sugars. He ordered the Pancreas kit and around a week into the program experienced more swelling in the foot and leg. He stopped the program to resume taking the water pill to see if this would help. He has gained around 12 lbs which is water held in this leg. I know the natural way of good nutrition and herbs is a good course to follow but can you offer some suggestions to help these issues. 1. water retention 2. His stomach rumbles and gurgles 24 hours a day to the point where I thought our neighbors were dragging furniture across the floor. This has caused him considerable embarrassment at work. We are eating a vegan diet about 50% raw-50%-cooked. Oddly enough when he eats a standard American diet the rumbling stops. 3. High blood pressure. Thank you so much for answering my previous letter to you. I believe in what you are doing, and know that the body will heal at it's own pace with proper care. I have resolved a urinary problem just a week into your Detox program and think it's great.

    A:

Your husband is NOT getting proper circulation to his extremities. He should have not stopped the Pancreas kit because it is common for things to get worse before better. He should have judged himself after the kit was finished in 3-weeks. He experienced the HEALING CRISIS and stopped! He should complete the kit and regimen (perhaps even starting over).

His stomach is making noises because he's having digestive problems. He needs to eat as much raw foods as possible and rink plenty of vegetable juice. SAD foods stops his stomach from gurgling because that's what's in his stomach; and when he does not give his stomach what it wants (a sign of fasting and cleansing), he hear the noise from his stomach. Again, the healing crisis. Things will get worse before they get better. However, you don't stop!

High blood pressure is due to his toxic state and poor circulation!

Have him perform the Full Body Detox and right after the Full Body Detox, the Pancreas kit and regimen.

    There's healing from him!

Please peruse some of our free articles so as to truly learn what's going on with his/your bodies pertaining to healing.

Q: I'm writing regarding 2 issues that I would like advice on. First, I am a 31 year old professional athlete (african american), and I was diagnosed with over active bladder in 2006. This condition makes me use the rest room about 20 to 30 times per day, it is very uncomfortable. The urologist went inside the penis with a camera, but he did not find anything, and from there he said I had "overactive bladder". I would like to know if you recommend something that specifically could work on helping repair the bladder, and prostate area. I have already taken your Full Body Detox. I am just looking for something that specifically repairs the bladder/kidney function. On that note, I also want to know is there something I can take for penile dysfunction? I was with my wife the other night, and everything went fine. Until, I noticed that I was experiencing some issues as far as the penis staying erect, about half way through the act. I do not smoke, drink, or abuse any drugs. I'm wondering where it may have come from? Could the frequent urination have anything to do with it? Also, it is noteworthy to mention that I was masturbating alot even 3 times a day, for a period of years. I am wondering could that be a problem? Can I repair these issues?

    A:

Greetings! I recommend the Total Male Cleanse which will address every concern you wrote about. While performing this cleanse, order and drink "Kidney's Tea", and "Jackrabbit Tea" (1 cup of each daily while cleansing). Your genital glands may have become weakened due to the excess masturbation. You lost a lot of zinc (with every ejaculation zinc and other nutrients are lost), so after the TMC make sure you purchase, and take our Zinc Phosphate, MSM Sulfur, Kidneys-Bladder Formula and Male Hormonal Formula, at least for 3 months until you rebuild the uro-genital system. The kidneys are connected to the sex glands.

Learn mental science for sexual enhancement. The same principles apply. Check out our 'Mental Science' e-book and work those techniques in the sex act. Trust me - they work!
    You can heal, Beloved!
Also, read some of our great FREE health articles on male sexual health. The site is loaded with good free information!

Q: Hey Gary, I've heard a lot of hype about the paleo diet. I'm a vegan. Is the paleo diet a diet you would recommend? Can it work with vegan lifestyle? Thanks!

    A:

Sorry for the late response, This one got kind of lost in my emails. Thanks for your question.

The Paleo diet.... something nice.... something nice.... heh.

The Paleo diet emphasizes drinking water and eating local/organic food. They shun dairy, processed food, and grains. I agree.

I disagree with just about everything else. For paleo theory to be correct Vegans either have to not exist or be doing very poorly. Wrong on both accounts. They say vegans just can't get enough protein or that we are missing x,y,z in our diets. Never mind that every major paleo website sells the supplements they say only vegans are deficient in. "Vegans don't get enough protein so eat meat and then buy our protein powder supplements. Vegans don't get enough omega 3's so just eat fish and while you are at it buy our krill oil supplements." And so on. The paleo diet is just the low carb diet re-branded. Here are the results of long term low carb eating. http://www.pcrm.org/health/reports/analysis-of-health-problems-associated-with-high.

Vegans are doing extremely well and in most long term studies Vegans end up on top in both health and longevity.

    Also see this video http://nutritionfacts.org/video/paleolithic-lessons/

They claim carbohydrates make you fat and that the more you eat the more you weigh. Why then do the 80-10-10 crowd all appear not only all thin but extremely healthy? Carbohydrates are your bodies main source of fuel. Preferred source. Every cell in your body runs on glucose. The human body is amazing. The is a secondary source of energy in case of starvation, or glucose deprived. The body starts to burn fat as fuel known as keytosis. This was only meant as a way to keep the body running during famine. However the paleo people think this is a preferred state to be in. It's not. Look up keto-acidosis. Could be deadly. The bottom line is that people will always be looking forward to the latest fad that tells them "good things about their bad habits".

My Diet program that I run follows a high carb/low fat/high alkaline/high raw protocol.  All my client reach remarkable health results.

I could go on forever, but I think you get the point. Let me know if you have anything else to add to this discussion.

Q: While doing a candida cleanse, it was told to me that I should be following a raw food diet full of fruits and vegetables. Fruits have high sugar content and can feed a candida overgrowth, as it is a well known fact that candida albicans thrive on sugar. How can I justify eating fruits high in sugar? Thank you for your comments. Ozzy

A: Yes, when you have a candida issue it's best to avoid refined sugar. Sugar from a natural source like fruits should be consumed moderately. In your case it would be best to consume fruits mainly in the mornings for breakfast when your body maximizes on food the most, avoiding the ones that are very high in sugar.

Q: I know your probably busy helping all these lost people out there, so I'm not going to take a lot of time. Could you please refer me to a good Raw food diet book? I've been vegan for a while and trying to make another transformation towards my Original Diet.

    A:

Please purchase our "ALTERNATIVE HEALTH DIRECTORY" e-book which lists a plethora of vegan and raw foods resources (books, magazines, lists, etc.). It's just what you're looking for.

Q: I see also that you recommend a complete diet with these programs. I am guessing its a vegan diet right? I wanted to ask something on that is coconut milk and coconut oils ok for that? I personally had a very hard time trying to eat that many vegetables and many ph balance vegans seem to think fruits aren?t good either. I eat that many vegetables one it tears me up the next day and two I just cant consume enough calories that way. I can try and make up for it by eating things like almonds but I eat to many almonds I get the same problem the next day. Now coconut milk (unsweetened) and a digestive enzyme works for me for picking up extra calories.... but I hear very conflicting information about coconut and its saturated fat content. Is it ok to use daily as a part of the diet for cleansing? And your oxy-drops are those the same as the drop for ph balancing water?? Or is it something different? I am wanting to start lifting weights as I need to put on some muscle and I?m wondering if its something that would be beneficial in combating muscle soreness by increased oxygen in the body.

    A:

The diet we recommend is vegan-based, and RAW FOODS. Fresh fruits, vegetables, raw nuts and seeds are ideal.

Coconut Milk and Coconut Oil are excellent products to have in your diet. The healthy fats will keep you fuller.

Oxy-Drops can help balance your electrolytes that need to be replenished after a workout in order to keep your body performing efficiently.

Q: I was having issues with puss and blood filled boils on my vaginal walls and I constantly went to doctors who told me that It wasn't an STD but they could never tell me what it was. I finally went to a different office and the results of my culture came back stating that I had MRSA. I was then prescribed Bacterium DS, which is antibiotic containing sulfur. I took this and I didn't seem to have any issues for a while. Now I recently had a boil on my finger and on my back and I have a vaginal discharge, which a different doctor has diagnosed as MRSA (which I thought I was rid of). She also subscribed the Bacterium DS but this time the symptoms did not subside. Please let me know what you suggest for this ailment as the boils are painful and the vaginal discharge is causing much discomfort.

Q: I was actually interested in using the FULL BODY DETOX, I know that it comes with a nutritional guide but I wanted to know if it would work if I did not follow a vegan diet. I do not consume a lot of fast food which I am willing to easily give up but I wanted to know how it could work on a moderate none vegetarian diet.

    A:

The RAW FOODS diet is 50% of the FULL BODY DETOX! It won't work without following the diet!

Q: Can you please advise if the colon cleansing will have any effects if I suffer from loose stools rather than constipation? Have had issues with loose stools since my gall bladder was removed. Some improvement when I was diagnosed with thyroid disease and began taking Synthroid, but I still have issues with very loose stools and severe gas at times. Can this colon cleansing relieve these issues? Also, I have an allergy to nuts, all kinds. Can I still take the cleansing formulas that include the shells of walnuts; I believe is what it said. I must be very careful because I have been hospitalized after ingesting a very minute amount of what I think was peanuts. Your advice would be greatly appreciated as I am very interested in trying your products but at the same time I must be careful with my allergies. Also I’m allergic to eggs.

    A:

YOU WOULD BENEFIT FROM THE FULL BODY DETOX FOLLOWED BY THE DHERBS 10-DAY SUPREME COLON CLEANSE. BLACK WALNUT HULLS ARE SAFE FOR YOU. IT'S NOT ACTUALLY A NUT, BUT THE HULL FROM IT. ALLERGIES ARE OVERCOME WITH DEEP CLEANSING ON THE CELLULAR AND TISSUE LEVEL. REMOVAL OF THE GALLBLADDER HAS THROWN YOUR BODY OUT OF WHACK. HOWEVER, THE BODY DOES HAVE THE ABILITY TO COMPENSATE.

Q: I have been experiencing some worry issues for the last six months. Anxiety, and panic attacks, it's been a hell of a ride. Don't know if this will make a difference drinking the tea in the morning.

Q: I have experienced a myriad of issues to which no answer or solid test has proved conclusive. In the short span since my return I have and continue to be plagued with 2 ongoing problems: Some form of vaginitis (since no one/physician seems to think what I am experiencing is abnormal) and Gastrointestinal issues As a result I have had the following tests and “inconclusive†results (in my opinion): Was diagnosed with Gardnerella or BV in 2006: was treated with no symptoms thereafter, but continue to experience discomfort particularly 2 wks before menstruation occurs. - Acid reflux: was given Nexium prescription, but refused to take prescription and opted to take a natural route i.e., drinking ginger or laxative teas - Thyroid: ultrasound of thyroid was conducted and miniscule cysts were found, but not detected as malignant or harmful

    A:

You may want to read our articles entitled â€BACTERIOR VAGINOSIS†and â€VAGINAL ODORS AND DISCHARGE†found in our articles section. I can tell you right off the bat, Beloved, that you are due for a FULL BODY DETOX followed by a TOTAL WOMAN CLEANSE. These 2 cleanses along with the raw foods diet will greatly help you, Beloved. It sounds like your system has a lot of acid right now. Work on your pH (getting more alkaline). You can heal, Beloved. You just have a lot of mucus in your body. That's all. Reboot your system (body) by cleansing and eating healthy food (fruits and vegetables).

Q: I am just becoming a vegan going on 20 years in June, and it takes a lot of discipline. I was wondering if you knew any good recipes for some good vegan style dishes. I really want to establish a vegan restaurant. I have purchased your Alternative Diet and Lifestyle Manual, and I know its healthier to eat vegan. But, I also understand its not the healthiest due to soy products. Is their still away to satisfy my appetite and well being at the same time?

I'm truly embracing all natural help and holistic approach to overcoming this sickness. My doctors currently have me taking Hectorol, which is synthetic vitamin d, and sensipar to lower the parathyroid hormone. Q: I've really been suffering with some anxiety issues and was looking at the symptoms of an overactive thyroid, which seem to be most of my symptoms. I was also about to have sexual relations with my girl for the first time and my body just started heating up like I had a fever, and the anxiety hit me like a bomb. I had taken the JACKRABBIT FORMULA, but it felt like the Yohimbe had my heart racing and I couldn't maintain an erection anymore do to nervousness of failure. I also get sweaty palms and feet a lot. My heart starts racing sometimes just out the blue. Could this be an overactive thyroid? Do you have any other suggestions of what could be going on?

    A:

It could be an over-active thyroid gland, Beloved! It could also be psycho-somatic. I think the Jackrabbit also played a role in your sweating situation too due to certain "warming" herbs. Learn yoga and meditation, Beloved. It's all in the mind, Good brother. The keys to life are in the mind. Check out our new e-book MENTAL SCIENCE MANUAL.

Q: I read the food chart for the FULL BODY DETOX. Is it ok to eat the cream of wheat while detoxing? I'm confused because on the food chart it mentioned alot of different foods, but it tell you the best thing to do is a all raw food diet such as salads and fruit, smoothies... I also plan to do the ANTI-VIRAL CLEANSE AND REGIMEN right after the FULL BODY DETOX and that requires a all raw food diet as well. So that means 2 months of strictly raw foods right? :( Its tough but I am determined too get rid of this hsv1 & hsv 2

    A:

I suggest you read the article â€WHAT IS RAW FOODS†as it will help you to understand what to eat and what not to eat on the FULL BODY DETOX. Yes, all raw foods for 2 months (to the best of your ability, Beloved). YOU CAN DO IT, BELOVED! Did you read our "GENITAL HERPES" article?
