Becoming Healthy and in Shape Before I Turn 30 – Day 17

Wednesday was a wonderful day.

I woke up refreshed and happy. I had my smoothie and got to work. My co-worker Kelli and I were talking about how to become a vegan and all that you do and don’t do. She explained to me the different ways of going about making food that seems like what you would eat any day as a meat eater. My other co-worker Fatima made meatloaf from nuts, vegan cupcakes and other things that seemed to keep them satisfied with not just veggies and fruits. She said she would bring me some cookbooks to see how easy it was to make a few of these things. I figured if I can make things more interesting to eat since I don’t cook common foods all the time, it shouldn’t be so hard to take meat out of the equation. I got home had a salad and drank some ginger tea. I started looking on the internet for recipes that required no meat or dairy and that were totally vegan. I feel asleep with the laptop in my lap. Getting your rest on this detox is no joke. My body shuts down when it wants to without regard to a schedule.
