Q: Thanks for all of the information which is very beneficial I must say. My question to you is what's the best type of aloe vera juice to drink? Also I have heard that the gel from the plant can be mixed into a smoothie, is that true? Greetings! As far as the best brand I really wouldn't know as there are a few good brands on the market. Just make sure your aloe vera juice is at 99% pure and with no additives. Aloe gel can be added to a fruit smoothie though
I personally wouldn't add it to a fruit smoothie.
Q: I started my full body detox program yesterday and this morning I stopped into Jamba Juice to get a wheatgrass shot. I also got a pomegranate juice, strawberry, peach and mango drink with a mega green tea boost...I drank maybe about 4 oz of the drink and trashed it. I had the worst headache I've ever experienced in my life! Was it from the sugar in the juice? They claim to be all-natural or was it from the fasting? Would you recommend this establishment for those seeking to get their body clean?
It's best to stay on raw fruit and vegetable juices during your detox. Or, try some of the recipes for smoothies, vegetable juice, and delicious herbal teas mentioned and listed in the Full Body Detox Companion ($20)
Q: Is it okay for a person with diabetes to have a fruit smoothie in the mornings during the full body detox?
YES!!!! Just watch your sugar because most diabetics have sugar problems due to bad sugar mixed with good sugar (from fruit -- fructose).
Q: Is it alright to drink part of your fruits and veggies? I have a fruit smoothie for breakfast, and veggie drink in between lunch and dinner, nuts and a piece of fruit in between and a salad and a piece of fruit for dinner.
Yes, you may drink part of your fruits and vegetables. As long as they are FRESHLY SQUEEZED
Q: This is my 3rd day on the cleanse. Last night I woke up around 2:00 am and I couldn't rest because I was having cramping in my thighs and buttock area. It was uncomfortable. I got up and stretched, walked, took a epsom salt bath. Finally after 3 hours I was able to rest. When I went to work when I am actively moving around I am fine. But, when I sit for any period of time my leg and buttock cramp. What suggestions might you have? I am pleased with the cleanse, but I would like to remedy this uncomfortable feeling. I have increased my H2O and potassium through eating more than 1 banana. HELP!!!!
Sounds like a circulation problem! Start getting up to move around or stretch every 15-30 minutes! be religious in doing this!
Sounds like you also need more potassium too. One banana isn't going to get the job done. You need to eat at least 5 bananas for minimum potassium. Otherwise, start taking 1 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar in a cup of water (with a pinch of sea salt added to it) for minimum potassium.
We would also recommend that you get a massage, preferably therapeutic deep tissue massage.
Q: Hi, I am trying to find out if I can eat the following items while on my cleanse: - Oatmeal (breakfast) - egg whites - smoothies (can I use Smoothie King or Panet Smoothie or I have to make my own)
The literature clearly states ONLY RAW FOODS (please see the article "WHAT IS RAW FOODS" in our articles section). You can make your own smoothies or purchase them. Your choice!
Q: First off, thank you so much for your responses to my questions regarding my husband heart murmur and weed smoking. Secondly...I am on my third day of the Full Body Detox & it is challenging and invigorating at the same time. My newest question is...how can I make the fruit smoothie that you recommended for drinking in the morning? & can you send my a recipe?
A few recipes are in the Alternative Diet and Lifestyle Manual.
Use 1 cup of fruit juice (of your liking), 1 cup of frozen fruit (i.e. banana, strawberries, mango, etc.), 1 cup of ice (optional). Blend for about 30 seconds! Drink and enjoy!
A: You can only have the protein powder if its all natural and does not contain any dairy or whey. Hemp seed protein, green pea protein and spirulina are the best types of protein powder allowed on the cleanse.
Q: Good morning. I tried the WEIGHT RELEASE CLEANSE AND REGIMEN and followed the diet. I must say that I am amazed at how good I feel. Energetic and focused but alas, I only lost 3 pounds in the 3 weeks. I am 5'5 and currently at 181 pounds. My body is extremely resistant to weight loss. I have done several different types of detox including the IZO juice cleanse in the last year and had not lost weight. I don't even seem to respond to a very low calorie diet. I do have elevated liver Enzyme levels and a recent blood test showed low B6 vitamin and not proper protein digestion. I exercise 3 times a week and I eat rather health and mostly organic. Please HELP. Thanks
This means that your body focused on another area that was of more importance than weight release. your mind wanted weight reduction but your body intelligence focused on something else. Go with the flow of the body intelligence and trust it. You apparently have an energetic block that prevents you from physically releasing weight (since you've tried other programs). Consider scheduling a consultation so we can get at the energetic/emotional root of your problem. Simply stop worrying about "losing" weight. Focus on what you desire (to see yourself in the size you desire). Don't focus on what you don't want (i.e. to lose weight).
Q: I've been eating vegan (mostly raw) for nearly 2 years. In the first year, I lost about 60 pounds. I still have about 50 more to lose and it hasn't budged in almost a year. I hear conflicting info about what sort of exercise would be best - cardio vs. strength. And any time I up my exercise, my hunger gets out of control. Any suggestions?
Thanks for the question. The most efficient way to lose weight from working out are high rep/low weight circuit training and through HIIT (high intensity interval training).
Your goal should be to increase metabolism and fat burning potential throughout the day. Both HIIT and circuit weight training are both effective. To be maximized you should exercise for 1 hour 5-6 times a week. You could alternate between cardio days and circuit training days. Here is an example.
Tues: Circuit training
Fri: Circuit training
Here is an example of a circuit and HIIT
Circuit. 15-20 reps 1 minute rest between sets. repeat for 20-30 minutes. (feel free to use the template and build your own)
Upper: Clean and press or curl to press
Lower: Alternating weighted lunges
Core: Reverse crunches
Plyo: Step ups
HIIT (can be done on almost any cardio machine)
3 minute warmup
-30 second sprint
-1 minute recovery
*Repeat for 15 minutes to 30 minutes*
3 minute cool down
Top fat loss mistakes for cardio and weight training
Cardio: Doing 1 speed with no resistance cardio. This kills me. Your fat burning potential begins and ends when you do. If it doesn't challenge you it will not change you. Atleast put the resistance on mountain or random.
Weight: Resting too long in between sets. Super sets are key here. Work one set while resting the other. Example of a superset is chest press and seated row together. Quad machine and ham machine. Pullup and shoulder press.
When you ramp up your metabolism you are going to have to eat more. Losing weight isn't about calories. Losing weight is about nutrient density. Here is a blog I did on eating for fitness and getting lean. http://the-vegan-effect.healthcoach.integrativenutrition.com/blog/2012/05/qa-eating-for-fitness-getting-lean

Q: I am very excited about your product and I wonder if there is help for me? and if so where should I start? I am 46 years old with a desire to be active but I am overweight by 70-80 pounds. I have been told I have a lumbar sprain and should exercise to ease the pain. I have been told that I have fibro arthritis, my joints in fingers elbows hurt all the time. My feet hurt, my legs hurt with touch. I have a weak pelvic bottom and feel that I have the body of an older woman. Can you please help me to be the woman I deserve to be and live healthier for my children?
Q: I am on my 3rd day of the fully body cleansing. I am definitely doing this to lose weight. I am a 52 year old, black, Christian, wife, mother to 21 and 14 year old girls, legal secretary who is 450 lbs. I am to the point now where if I don't do this I'm going to be housebound. I can barely move some days that is why I started this because I feel so unhealthy. I have a question about the nuts. I got all gun-ho and ordered $135.00 worth of organic nuts from nuts.com. I got raisins, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, almonds, walnuts, pecans, pistachios and cashews and mixed them all up together (well I purchased 2 lbs of each but I only mixed up 1 lb of each together). Anyway, I was reading about how much calories are in nuts. Should I not pay attention to that because I was consuming a lot of calories in the first place or do I have to watch how many nuts I eat? I have put some nuts in a sandwich bags and basically filled it up and that is supposed to be my nuts ration for the day. I am also eating fruits and vegetables. So far the fruit have been grapes, grapefruit, red apples, pears, green apples and bananas. The vegetables have all been in a salad: tomatoes, celery spinach leaves, carrots, mixed in balsamic vinaigrette. I only ate the salad Monday night all the other times I have just eaten the fruit and nuts. I am also consuming approximately 75-100 oz of water. Sorry I’m long winded I just wanted you to get the entire picture.
Thanks for the question, I can definitely help you.
I am currently writing an eBook for www.dherbs.com called "Losing weight the healthy way." I have been a weight loss counselor for many years. I am also a health coach, personal trainer, bodymind nutritionist, and a vegan lifestyle coach.
When it comes to weight loss most programs want you to lose weight to get healthy. My mindset is to get healthy and lose weight.
In my health/fitness/nutrition coaching program www.theveganeffect.com I use a lowfat/high carb/ high raw/ nutrient dense/ high alkaline diet to achieve long term weight loss success. So far I am 100 percent in getting clients long lasting weight loss. If you are interested in my program please fill out the health history form on the side of the web page. We could have a free 1 hour initial consultation over skype to see how I can best help you.
Nuts are best kept to a minimum if you use them at all. Nuts are extremely high in fat and have the opposite omega 3- omega 6 ratio that is optimal for health. Seeds are best as far as ratios are concerned. Also nuts are truly easy to over eat and cause your nutrient ratios to be off.
A healthy vegan diet is a high raw fruitarian diet.
Breakfast: green smoothie. (500-1000 calories of fruits blended with a handful of greens and water)
Bridge: Dates and strawberries (500 calories)
Lunch: Salad with low sugar fruits (cucumber, tomato, squash, bell peppers) topped with fruit, beans, psuedo grains,
Bridge: 2-3 apples
Dinner: Raw wraps (collard greens) with low sugar fruit and tahini
Hope this helps

Q: Hello, Is it okay to drink the naked fruit smoothie on the 10 day detox. I read the label and no sugar and additives are in the drink. Thank you
A: Unfortunately you cannot consume any pre-made store juices or smoothies. Those kind of beverages contain preservatives and additives to help sustain shelf life and is also pasteurized (processed foods).
Q: What foods can I juice to get the proper daily amount of minerals, vitamins? I dont want to take supplements. Feel free to direct me to a link or website etc. Thank you for your time! Peace!
You can juice fruits and vegetables for nutrition, Beloved. Jucie fruits and vegetables separately though! They all provide nutrition. Fruits and vegetables are the best
Q: I have used many of your products - the full body cleanse, the female cleanse, and I completed the respiratory cleanse last month. I felt great during the cleanse; when I got off of it, I didn't feel that I was eliminating as easily or consistently. I had purchased the Intestinal Cleanser and the Bowel Motion and started taking them together in the evenings, but I missed a few days due to travel. I noticed that I felt horrible during the days that I was taking it (and felt better when I was off of it).....my stomach felt bloated and cramped and I had headaches and low energy. I am wondering if the combination is too strong for me. Do you recommend taking only the Bowel Mover, or are you supposed to take both? Is it possible that I have a digestion problem? I also had purchased the Thyroid herbs. Is it okay to take those at the same time, or should I wait?
Read our article HEALING CRISIS!
Herbs don't cause any health problems. They help you to heal from them. You were experiencing healing crisis, which can be unpleasant; but your body doesn't care. it just wants to heal itself.
I suggest you take these herbs at night right before you go to bed (which is the best time to do so anyway).
And yes, you can take the Thyroid formula ... but take it in the morning!
Thank you for your interest in Dherbs.Com!
Q: Hey Gary here are my challenge I'm 43 been trying to lose weight, I start on a program and stop once I don't see any results. I tried the Detox I think I lost about 5 pounds, I work at night and have a part time jobs seeing private patients in the day so my sleep pattern is little maybe I get 4 hrs of sleep I'm having problems getting this weight off. I also want to mention when I do exercise my joints swell so I try to keep it low impact. I also have sweet tooth so I get these cravings here and there more so when I'm at work at night. Hopefully you can help me. Thanks....Lakeisha
Hi, thanks for the question.
Lets go through one thing at a time. Your overall schedule and lifestyle is not healthy and will likely sabotage your health goals. Receiving so little sleep will prevent major weight loss because your body cannot cleanse and cannot recharge. You must repay your energy debt before you can properly lose weight. Your body is always in a state of playing catch-up to the workload you are giving it. It stores fat because it doesn't have the
energy to properly function. I understand crazy schedules but they will not get you the results you desire. I would focus on trying to find a more balanced or healthier schedule before adding the stress of losing weight to an already overworked body.
Your body has been come toxic and inflamed from a toxic lifestyle. A high carb-high raw vegan diet will help ease your suffering the most. A high carb (fruit based) diet will help replenish your energy stores and reduce
nutritional stress. To learn more about how a healthy vegan diet can help you reach your goals please consider the following eBooks found at Dherbs.com.
"Go Vegan the Healthy way" or
"Lose weight the healthy way"
As far as your mindset is concerned an all or nothing approach rarely breeds success. Especially when it come to regaining health or losing weight. It takes time and patience. I would recommend checking out the DVD
"fat sick and nearly dead". It's a fascinating look at how you can quickly go from a health zero to a health hero in the shortest time. Every single person on the planet has a sweet tooth. Those who say they don't usually are hopped up on caffiene or other drugs and pharmaceuticals. Every cell in the body runs on glucose. The brain eats up a small apple and a half worth of glucose every hour. Eating a high carb-lower fat diet will give you an energy abundance, reduce overall stress, and help you lose weight.
Hope this helps,

Q: I WANTED TO KNOW HOW DO YOU MAKE A SMOOTHIE ON full body cleanse? And can you not mix any of the food combined if it says not to?
You can check our website for numerous great smoothie recipes.
Ideally, to make a smoothie, use a base (some kind of fruit juice, water, or nut milk), add some frozen fruit or non-frozen fruit (your favorite fruit), add a little ice and BLEND (for about 1 minute)! Wa la ... you have a fruit smoothie!
Q: My son has now been given a diagnosed of Aspergers by the school system. When I took him to the doctors for a second opinion, they agreed. I do believe he lacks some social skills. I read the articles you ran on Autism which lead to my below questions. The "Magical Alchemical Elixir", and "(6) Sixth Chakra Elixer", Can you explain how I should administer the above? Do I give them to him at the same time? I drop him off at 6 am, and do not see him again until 6 pm. What type of dosage will I need to give? He is going to the six grade, but schools will not allow him to take supplements in school.
The instructions are on the bottle of each product. You can add them to a glass of water (perhaps a water bottle), and the child can drink it before he exits the car for school. I'd suggest 2 dropperfuls of both formulas simultaneously. But the chakra elixir can be taken sublingually.
Q: What kind of dressing I can use on my salad. I tried the olive oil, lemon juice and sea salt salad dressing and I didn't like it at all. Please help this is day 3 for me. Thanks
A: We have numerous raw salad dressing recipes available on our recipe section. The salad dressing you tried, might be better with apple cider vinegar instead of lemon juice in addition to adding the sea salt and herbs & spices of your choice.
Q: My father (age 56 who's between healthy and sick. jogs every morning, but doesn't eat healthy) has pain traveling from knee, back to shoulder, I, myself am very health conscious! but I can't put my finger on this one! His (history) no high blood pressure, non-diabetic, no history of heart attics, stroke etc... but loves to eat sweets.. cakes, cookies, milk, ice cream, etc....I believe this could be a combination of many things, like yeast build up, gas, arteries clogged. Can you help me?
The best way to find out is have your father (or someone on his behalf) to schedule a health consultation so we can get at the root of the problem. While there could be a host of things causing the problem on the physical level, I'm more interested at getting at the emotional root of the problems. Product-wise, I would have your father start with the FULL BODY DETOX.
An herbal supplement with laxative properties that helps maintain normal bowel movements and relieve bloating.
No thanks, I wish to leave.
