Day 13 

It’s day number 13 for me and I feel good but I want some regular food now! A weekend of passing up food can be taxing on a girl! It’s always around the last week where you get really tired of raw foods, and start to crave cooked meals. Steaming some veggies at this point, could make or break the detox. My family has been super supportive, and thats a key factor in completing a detox. 

Breakfast – Smoothie with strawberries, bananas, pineapples, blueberries, and apple juice. 

Lunch – Fruit salad with papaya, avocado, banana, kiwi, raisins, dates, jicama, vanilla, ginger, lemon, and basil. 

Dinner – Steamed spinach, and squash.

    Q: Today makes day 9 of my FULL BODY DETOX (FBD). This morning I have an outbreak on my hand. I have been practicing telling myself I am Healing, but my job is stressful and yesterday I had a stressful day and this morning the outbreak on my right hand. Could this be part of my healing process? Can you suggest what I can do to alleviate the stress at work so this will not block my healing process of herpes? I am following the diet; however I have been kind of burnt out at times on the salads so I at least eat a salad and a bowl of steamed brown rice and frozen green peas that are steamed for 3 min. Is that considered following the diet? I still eat my fruit for breakfast daily, my salad for lunch and steamed broccoli (5min) and for dinner another salad, but for a few days I have eaten the rice and steam green peas. I basically want to know is it alright so if I eat it in the future.

    You have to learn to deal with your stress and stop reacting to it. Your subconscious mind is greatly blocked and therefore you have to realize your healing will come very slow. At a deep level you still believe herpes is incurable and your body is giving you this (despite the healing crisis of outbreaks on the hand). Your dietary deviation is understandable and not that bad but if you are tiring of salads opt for other things to eat.     Q: Is it alright to drink part of your fruits and veggies? I have a fruit smoothie for breakfast, and veggie drink in between lunch and dinner, nuts and a piece of fruit in between and a salad and a piece of fruit for dinner.

    Q: Do you have any suggestions for a breakfast, lunch & dinner schedule? I'm making the transition to a healthier diet due to fibroid tumors. Currently I have broken my eating menu into 3 parts, breakfast - fruits, lunch - salads, & dinner - baked potato or any other heavy meal I intend to eat. Is this a good start? Any suggestions you can give on healthier meals for dinner are most appreciated.

    Q: I am on day 4 of the FULL BODY DETOX and was wondering what else can or should I eat besides toss salad and fruits and veggies. I know I can do organic non-salt nuts, steamed veggies, fruits smoothies and wild rice but is they’re anything I am not suppose to eat besides meat and sweets (sodas)? I have eaten toss salad was it ok that I put cheese on it? I am struggling to find other food options. Please help!!

    Q: I started the full body detox today, and found that I DO NOT like the salad dressing I made with the olive oil, apple cider vinegar and lemon juice. I found I could not tolerate it on my salad. What can I do instead? Another question is... I noticed lentils on the food combining chart. Those have to be cooked. Are those actually allowed to be consumed warm? I love the raw fruits and vegetables. I don?t have a problem, cause I love salads. I just need help on what I can have on it.

    Q: I have incorporated fish into my diet because I have been craving. Is moderation okay.... meaning my fruits for breakfast a regular lunch with salad and a salad for dinner okay to pretty much moderate other foods? It is challenging for me to become a vegan. Do you have any suggestions on how to still eat healthy to maintain an alkalized body with certain foods with moderation that are not raw? I still drink my green veggies at least twice a day. I am praying that my results will be negative.

    Q: Is necessary to continue food combining after completing FULL BODY DETOX in 20 Days? For example can you consume sweet fruit with sub acid & acid fruit also starches and vegetable (beans) proteins together? I learned in Nutrition that starches (rice) and beans are complete protein when combined together that our body needs. Are you at risk for protein deficiency if consuming vegan diet?

    Q: What's the best way to start on a vegan/raw food diet? I am not sure what to eat to make sure I would get a nutritious diet-you may not be able to go into that much detail but how can I get sample meal plans for breakfast, lunch and dinner incorporating this type of diet-perhaps there is somewhere on the web I find something like this? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

    If I do say myself, the best way to start a raw food diet is to be coached by me. I run a 6 month health coaching program that is 60-90 percent raw and 100 percent vegan/gluten free/ allergy free. You can find out more about my program at www.theveganeffect.com.     Here are some other tips to get started.

    1: Join a raw food meetup group or community. Surround yourself with supportive people who can point you in the right direction. Try meetup.org or 30bananasaday.com 

    2: Read books like "beauty detox solution" by snyder, "80/10/10" by Dr. Graham., or "The Paradigm diet" by Adam Dave

    3: Start simple with breakfast. Always start your day with a green smoothie. read "Green smoothie revolution" by forget authors name at the moment. heh.

    A sample meal plan would be.

    Breakfast: Green smoothie

    Bridge: raw bar, handful of nuts or seeds, or fruit

    Lunch: Raw wraps made from collard greens. use a base of tahini, hummus, or nut butter. Fill with sprouts and colorful veggies

    Bridge: raw bar, handful nuts or seeds, or fruit

    Dinner: Raw pasta with a large salad

    Snack: Sorbet

    Q: Hi I am on the 5th day and I had a lunch on today. I ate shrimp spinach salad?does that affect my detox? I feel very bad.

    A: In order to achieve the best results, you should remain on a raw foods diet for the duration. However, if you slip up, get right back on track with the raw foods diet and finish the cleanse! You can receive many of the beneficial effects of the cleanse still.

    Q: I'm currently on day 3 of the FULL BODY DETOX and would like to know what exactly I can eat. I've only had water, tea, and oranges for breakfast, salads for lunch and dinner with a few cashew nuts in between. I would like to know exactly what you mean by combining foods together. Example, oranges and apples, are you saying they're not to be eaten together? If not, why?

    The ALTERNATIVE DIET AND LIFESTYLES MANUAL list great food alternatives during the detox. Food combining means do not eat foods not in the same category. Don't mix an acid fruit with a melon fruit. Don't mix fruit with vegetables. Don't mix acid fruit with sweet fruit, etc. Eat sweet fruit with other sweet fruit. Eat sub-acid fruit with sub-acid fruit. You wouldn't eat an orange (acid fruit) with an apple (sub-acid fruit). They are not in the same family.

    Q: I am on Day 10 of the full body detox. I have had horrible stomach aches (like a punch in the gut), that have kept me up all night, migraines and pimple-like bumps apepar on my scalp (also itch). Now I have welts on my feet, hands and one on my right knee - that are red, swollen and itch. It makes it painful to walk. Is this normal on the detox or an allergic reaction to something? When do you start feeling better because I have felt like crap, with no energy the last 5 days. I have a business trip I must make next week during week 3 of the detox. Can I stop the detox for a week, and finish week 3 later, as I can't afford to feel like I do on my trip.

    2. We don't advise you stop the detox, but if you must, you must.

    You are just very toxic and your body really needs this cleanse as well as future cleansing. Your symptoms state you are toxic and need to focus more on your internal heath. You diet sounds very acid-forming! Changes are needed in your life, especially in the area of diet.

    Q: I have been drinking nettles tea as well as parsley juice and a tea made of marshmallow, gravel and hydrangea roots to control my potassium levels. I have noticed that my potassium numbers are less controllable now that I do dialysis once or twice a week. I know they give me a “K-bath" and I suspect that it keeps my potassium higher to discourage me from eating fruits and veggies and to make me feel jittery enough to keep going back. Actually the doctor told me not to juice or eat fruits at all. I will be ordering your FULL BODY DETOX this week, However, I want your input on how to control my potassium.

    You control your potassium levels by not worrying about it - eating how God intended you to eat. Beloved, just eat NATURAL food (fruits, vegetables, seed, and nuts) and you'll be all right. P.S. - apples and bananas are good sources of potassium!

    Q: I'm doing the Full Body Cleanse and I have a few questions about it: I get tired of drinking just the distilled water and I'd like to drink the herbal teas, but I don't like it by itself. Would it mess things up to add a pack or two of Splenda to my tea or maybe honey? I can't stand the salads with the olive oil or apple cider vinegar or the lemon juice as dressing and it makes me gag. I have To have some sort of salad dressing. What kind would be suitable? Do I look for sugar-free? Or organic and natural? I found one that is organic and natural, but it has 3 grams of sugar in it. Without eating all my whole grained breads and other fiber, I haven't had much of a bowel movement in 3 days, should I wait a while yet? (I had surgery on my bowels and always had to take fiber tablets and eat lots of grains to get my bowels to move.) I haven't done the enemas yet, (low on money) should I try that? Or should I resume my fiber tablets I normally take? Any type of fiber I could add to my fruit smoothies in the morning? I want to also do the female cleanse. Is it ok to do that immediately after I finish the full body cleanse or should I wait for a little while? Thank you for all your help, I feel much better than I did before and I just started this detox a week ago, lost 10 pounds, too, woohoooooo! Thank you

    1. Instead of splenda, use agave, stevia, or grade b maple syrup as a sweetener.

    2. In re Salad Dressing, an organic and natural one is great. You can also check our website for salad dressing recipes.

    3. The fiber pills are not part of the cleanse, so we wouldn't advise those. Fruit is you best choice of fiber so look into eating more papaya, mango, figs, etc. And yes, colonics (and enemas) would greatly help you - undoubtedly!

    4. You can do the Female Cleanse right after you finish detoxing. There's no need to wait!

    Q: I just purchased the FULL BODY DETOX and I have a question. I work a full time job (office work) and a part time job (cleaning). I'm worried if I will be able to work while doing the detox, I also workout (weight lifting) and with eating raw foods and no cooked food, I'm wondering if I will make it the 3 weeks doing this. I want to detox my body but I'm wondering if I can eat anything else (fish, chicken, baked of course).     Q: I read the food chart for the FULL BODY DETOX. Is it ok to eat the cream of wheat while detoxing? I'm confused because on the food chart it mentioned alot of different foods, but it tell you the best thing to do is a all raw food diet such as salads and fruit, smoothies...     Q: I am on day 5 of the FULL BODY DETOX. I have severe eczema and I re-read the instructions last night. After steaming am I to use food grade hydrogen peroxide on my face or regular store bought hydrogen peroxide? Should I expect it to burn? Also, I haven't been putting on lotion because the lotions in my house have lots of chemicals. I tried Olive Oil but it makes me itch. Do you have any suggestions for a natural moisturizer?

    Don't use hydrogen peroxide daily. When you do use it, pat it on your face with a cotton ball. Use it ever other day, not daily. Use 3% HP not 35% food grade! 35% FGHP will burn your face.

    Q: I am on day 17 of the Full Body Detox. It has been wonderful, although I have slipped up and made some bad food choices I have been able to stick to eating salads and Fruit and nuts. I have lost 5 pounds overall. I have Cogan's Syndrome. I stopped taking my azathioprine, Iron pill, and fish oils while on the Detox. I feel great aside from my Tinnitus in my left ear is ringing tremendously loud. Other than that I feel great. My skin looks so much better. My prednisone steroid hump in my back has gone away. My teeth look whiter. My eyes are whiter. Blemishes are gone. I just don't know what to do after I am done with this detox. I know that I need to continue with this particular diet because it is good to & for me. I can do that, however I just don't want to have low iron, tinnitus, or vertigo spells. What would you recommend I take after the full body cleanse. My mother has seen a difference in me and so has my husband. I love this, I can't wait to see my rheumatologist so he can tell me that my Cogan's Syndrome is in remmission. What should I do next?
