Experience the Full Body Cleanse

Experience the Full Body Cleanse – is a chance for people who have not done Dherbs.com detox to read and monitor their experience daily.

Day 19 and 20 the final chapter for now.

Day 19 and 20 the final chapter for now.

Well, I am finished with the detox and I must say from the beginning I was skeptical of the detox process. To me it was like with Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz was trying to find the Wizard to assist her to get back home, to only find out that Wizard wasn’t a wizard at all. What the Wizard did give her was the ability to have the faith that her desire to be home could take her home. The detox is very much like that. It has the ingredients to assist you, but you have to…

Day 18- I want chicken

Day 18- I want chicken

Today was a tough day from a food standpoint. I am ready to add chicken to my meals. I like the newness of my food regiment, but feel it’s time to make some adjustments. The raw food component of the detox has taught me some great deal about meals that I can prepare for myself that are both tasty and healthy. After not having chicken or steak for 19 days it has began wearing on me just a little. Both are sources of protein and I have been a meat eater for all my life. I don’t think…

Day 16 – Encouragement

Day 16 – Encouragement

Today was all about people around me who luvv me giving me words of encouragement from their hearts. It first starts with my wife, Gail. She has been in my corner forever. I call her my “great woman”. She is beautiful and while we deal with all the things that people who have been married for 18 years, I wouldn’t do it any other way. I did the Detox first of all for me. I was feeling sluggish, stagnant and Lethargic. I also did the Detox as a way of hopefully hanging around here for a few extra…

Day 15 and 16

Day 15 and 16

As I move closer to the 21 day ending of the Detox I am looking at what I will do next. I am a carnivore at heart and I doubt that I will radically change that. I can see myself eating less meat and watching my fats, etc. I also can see myself not having soda. Before the detox I use to have 3-6 sodas a day, depending. My energy is more even keel from the reduction of caffeine and sugar. I feel the positive impact of the herbs in and on my body and…

Day 14 – Inch by Inch

Day 14 – Inch by Inch

When I started the Detox decided to take some measurements so I could have a reference point to if there would be any changes in my body. Sometimes actual data is very useful. Here is what my day one measurements looked like Body type Day 1 46 inch waist 48.5 inch stomach 42 inch chest I was surprised at some of the numbers and they definitely demonstrated why I needed to do something about my health and body. It’s funny…

Day 13-Run as fast as you can for as long as you can

Day 13-Run as fast as you can for as long as you can

The treadmill and Detox Tonight I was on the treadmill walking and watching The Steve Prefontaine movie that I never grow tired of. The movie to me is such as inspiration and demonstration of the individual and what we are capable of doing. The other night, for the first time in years. I was able to run 5 minutes at a very slow pace (probably a 15 minute mile pace), but I was encouraged because my hypothesis (if I lose some weight I will be able to run again) was proven correct. So tonight I…

Day 12-The smell of coffee

Day 12-The smell of coffee

Today I was awaken by the aromatic smell of coffee. The amazing thing is no one in my house drinks coffee, and my wife was not at home and my son was at school. As I lay in bed the smell got stronger, almost like someone had brought a cup of coffee to me while I was sleeping. I could smell the flavor, almost like a vanilla bean. It had to be one of my neighbors. A few days, after having been on the Detox, my sense of smell increased tremendously. It wasn’t, but a few years ago…

Day 11..Running on Detox

Day 11..Running on Detox

Steve Prefontaine, was one of America’s greatest athletes. He was a world class runner who ran for the University of Oregon and later for the USA in the Munich Olympics. Pre–as he is intimately known as was my motivation as a runner. He died in 1975 in a car accident. I use to watch all of the meets he was in that I could and when I went on my own personal training runs I would think about how hard he trained and it helped my training. Running is the original sport known to mankind and is…

Day 9 and 10

Day 9 and 10

Day 9 and 10…………i did 20 minutes on the treadmill and 20 minutes running in the pool It felt good and it also speeds up the weight loss. I’ve also discovered that I make better smoothies than Robek’s or Jama Juice. I made one last night with Raspberries, strawberries, mixed fruit, bananas and pineapple juice it was pretty good. Yesterday I was in an environment were that had some of my favorite food–Hot links. I was in the facility for 6 hours and could smell them the entire time. There I was eating carrots and…

Day 8, the Matrix

Day 8, the Matrix

I found myself in a Matrix on day 8. It was one of those days that lasted longer than 24 hours. Have you ever had a day that, similar to the Twilight Zone, just seem to continue into the next day. That is what Day 8 has been like. I am actually into day 9 (it’s noon time). I tried to write Day 8 last night, but sleep kept calling me. And it seems like there was a variety of a thing to talk about, but sleep won over. Sleep is something we all do and some of…

Day 7- In My Eyes

Day 7- In My Eyes

Tonight I looked into my eyes for and traveled to a place I haven’t seen in a long time. It seemed like I was looking into a place filled with ebullience and joy. It was a very strange place and somewhat startling discovery. Many times the changes that we are looking for, weight loss, high energy, etc, may not be there. In fact until the moment I looked into my eyes. I didn’t think I was going to have anything to write about today. The day was generally non-eventful. I was okay with not being able to…

H2O brings balance on day 6

H2O brings balance on day 6

Today I felt a little clogged. I am not a huge fan of herbs. At some point they seem to clog me up. I was actually at the driving range working with my coach and was struggling a bit with the swing changes I’ve made over the past couple of months. Part of it had with me being in a rush when i got there and the other had to do with this clogged feeling I had. I went through the workout and then decided to get a bottle of water and drank it. Within a few seconds…

Day 5–Magic food

Day 5–Magic food

A friend of mine invited me over to his new house tonight after practice to watch the playoff game between Dallas and the Spurs. He has been inviting me over to see his new place since March, so I felt compelled to go. I felt very conflicted because I was very hungry and didn’t know how long I could make it without something to eat, but went anyway. Well, magically, after sitting down for about 5 minutes a platter of fresh vegetables and nuts appeared in front of me. I couldn’t have ordered it any better myself. Carrots,…

DAY 3 & 4 Peace and Reflection

DAY 3 & 4 Peace and Reflection

Today started out with me waking up from a sleep of serenity. I woke up so peaceful and rested. I normally sleep about 3-4 hours a day and was diagnosed a year a go with high blood pressure. The doctor prescribed some medicine, but I’ve never been a medicine guy. I always either deferred the pain or just found an alternative Holistic method. I slept 7 straight hours and only woke up, around 7 am for about 30 seconds. I feel asleep watching the movie King Kong which is a very powerful movie. It’s about…

Day 2

Day 2

Like I said in my Day one transcript. I’ve done many food focuses before and as for now this seems a little easier. The food focuses I’ve done before examined my conscience and soul. Imagine doing pineapple alone for 30 days, followed with 30 days of eggs and 3 days of air. The detox seems like doing jail time at a country club in many ways. You are doing the time, but have all the amenities of home right there in front of you. The plethora of raw foods that you can eat is like a food smorgasbord….

Day 1 the Drama begins

Day 1 the Drama begins

I am big on Drama, I don’t like pain, I don’t like to suffer. A friend of mine has been telling me about the Full Body Detox for over 2 years. He told me that it would be good for me, blah, blah, blah. He did it several times and felt it did something very powerful for him. I am involved in sports and always felt that actions speak louder than words. I’ve seen my friend transform as a person, become more spiritual and grow. So, when I was thinking about my weight and, my wife’s complaints about…
