I need some advice on whether I am taking the right herbs to balance my hormones. I have a mustache and a lot of hair on my face and acne. So I take saw palmetto for that. Also, I had an ovary
removed about 2 years ago. Since then I have a problem with vaginal dryness and very low sex drive. I am always moody and irritated by everything. I am currently taking saw palmetto, vitex chaste
berry, dong quai, and wild yam root, all in the form of a capsule. Please tell me if this combination is good for me.

THE COMBINATION IS GOOD, BUT YOU HAVE A HORMONAL IMBALANCE AND SHOULD CONCENTRATE ON YOUR ENDOCRINE SYSTEM. LOOK INTO OUR TOTAL
WOMAN CLEANSE
. YOU ARE PRODUCING MORE MALE-BASED HORMONES THAN FEMALE-BASED HORMONES. READ OUR ARTICLE â€FEMALE
HORMONAL REPLACEMENT THERAPYâ€

Q: Please comment on the relative efficacy of Saw Palmetto in standardized (extract) form, versus Saw Palmetto in the whole berry form. What dosage of the whole herb form, is equivalent to the current recommendation of a standardized dose of 320 mg. daily? Thank You

    A:

Unfortunately we cannot advise on the use of one herb. We do use Saw Palmetto in some of our formula's, however consuming a herb by itself is different as opposed it being one ingredient of many. Saw Palmetto is an herb that provides a natural sources of beta sitosterol.  It's a substance found in plants used to help heart disease and high cholesterol.  We can better assist you if you tell us what you're trying to achieve in the use of Saw Palmetto.

Q: I am a 29 year old woman currently living with one functioning kidney. Both kidneys were found to be "swollen" many months ago due to polyps that had formed inside my uterus. These issues were treated and now I'm interested in treating adult acne that has been forming on my cheeks for many years. My nephrologists told me not to take any herbs especially in capsule form because it may affect my kidneys. What is your opinion about taking herbs for people with one functioning kidney (or which article should I refer to)? Is there another alternative to treating acne without taking herbs. I am now greatly increasing my water intake and drinking one cup of unsweetened cranberry juice every day.

    A:

If drugs don't hurt one kidney, how in the world could a plant hurt it? Herbs are 1 million times safer than drugs. The choice is yours however to make on taking herbs. We deem them safe. You may be interested in performing the 10-DAY ELECTRIC GREENS CELL FOOD CLEANSE as well as the HEALING SKIN OIL for external application of the acne. Saw Palmetto with False Unicorn Root where can I get those or the tea? Thanks A very satisfied customer.

    A:

The Yoni Lubricant is coming very soon (May 2008). We don't sell any of the other botanical oils. Saw Palmetto Berries and False Unicorn can be found in health food stores.

Here's an example of some I am taking: Burdock, Yellow Dock, Sarsaparilla, Kelp, Licorice Root, Oregon Grape Root, Red Clover, Zinc, Copper, Selenium, Calcium, Magnesium, 50 Chlorella tablets 200mg, 10 500mg Spirulina capsules elderberry, echinacea, goldenseal, vitamin e, gotu kola, american ginseng guarana, dong quai, guggulipid, red yeast rice, hoodia, dandelion, cod liver oil, neptune krill oil, acai, psyllium husks, apple pectin, oat bran chromium picolinate, wormwood, damiana, st johns wort, 5-htp and pycnogenol not to mention others. They are mostly in gelatin capsules. I am concerned that too much gelatin is bad for me too!

    A:

You are overloading your body! Spread those supplements out throughout your day. Take 6 of them at a time every 3 hours or so. This is best for your body!

    For example:
    7 a.m.
    Burdock
    Yellow Dock
    Sarsaparilla
    Kelp
    Licorice Root
    Oregon Grape Root
    10 a.m.

    red yeast rice

    7 p.m.

We do not reccomend Gelatin capsules. Gelatin capsules are hard to digest in the body, which is why we offer vegetarian capsules.

Q: Hello, I'm very interested in your Full Body Cleanse programs, but I'm confused, as to what program would be best for me. I have a lot of trouble with taking herbs in pill or capsule form. It's either extremely hard for me to get them down, or they just pop right back up. I was interested in the Full body cleanse in the capsule form, after reading the description on your site, but I don't know if I should buy it in Children's Detox & just take more than the recommended dose (I'm 27 yrs. old), or should I buy the Full Body Cleanse Tea, is the tea the same as the capsules, is it as effective as the capsules? When doing the cleanse can you eat steamed veggies? Will I see gallstones in my poop? How many capsules, how often? Can I open the capsules, & put them in tea? Do you have any advice on vitamins, whole food supplements?

    A:

We offer a liquid alternative Full Body Liquid Cleanse for those that have trouble swallowing capsules. You may also order the regular Full Body Cleanse and open adn empty the content of the capsules into water or fresh fruit juice.

During the cleanse, we recommend an all RAW FOODS diet. Vegetables should be eaten raw, and not steamed, as to retain their nutritional content.

In the Full Body Cleanse (with capsules), there are 6 formulas to take 2-3 hours apart, 5 capsules at a time.

Q: Thank you for the great advice! :) Our baby has had baby eczema since infancy; however it looks as though it is now getting worse. She has always been and continues to be breastfed; we have supplemented with formula and Gerber baby products once she was ready for solids. She is now eating foods such as oatmeal, whole milk (sometimes we tradeoff between that and baby formula), various fruits and vegetables, meats such as chicken, turkey and beef, pasta, bread, beans, rice, etc. She seems to be more interested in eating carbohydrates than anything else. Also, another question we have is pertaining to my wife's acne and melasma problem which she has had for several years since adolescence (acne) and since she started using contraceptives (melasma). She also has a few crow's feet around her eyes which she would like to get rid of. Do you have any advice and or recommendations for treating these problems? Once again, thank you for the advice and we greatly appreciate your help/suggestions.

    A:

The baby's diet is unfortunately conducive to eczema. It is greatly acid-forming and needs to be changed immediately. For your wife, have her begin her healing journey by performing the FULL BODY DETOX.

Q: I have completed the FULL BODY DETOX today and I have noticed that I am experiencing severe dry mouth, dry eyes and vaginal dryness which are symptoms of sjogrens syndrome. Is there anything that will help restore the moisture (I read your article about vaginal dryness and I'll be purchasing saw palmetto today)?

    A:

This sjogrens syndrome is pure healing crisis and not caused by the noble herbs. Start taking 6-9 capsules of Saw Palmetto berry daily and increase your water consumption or intake. You'll be fine!

Q: Greetings, I wanted to let you know that I have been taking your prenatal vitamins, and they work great! I am expecting in December, and I am still nursing my one year old. Without the herbs I would not have the energy. Also, my husband's brother used your detox, and also loved it. I do, however, have a question for you. I was reading your article on Candida Yeast Infections and came across something very interesting, intertrigo. I believe this is what my daughter has in the folds of her arms. You told me to use shea butter some time back, and it works but the problem has never gone away completely. I believe the problem is internal. I believe we all, my husband, daughter and myself have some form of this yeast problem. I'm taking her to the pediatrician tomorrow, but you and I both know how that's going to end up. Any suggestions?

    A:

Greetings Beloved! Wow! That's great to hear! Always glad to hear how people benefit from Nature's herbs. And yes, the problem is always internal as I explain in the article "Skin Disorder = Blood Disorder" which is why you should also concentrate on the child's internal makeup, i.e. liquid extracts, i.e. Vitamin C, Blood Extract, Goldenseal-Echnicaea.

Q: Good morning, I have always had problems moving my bowels. Sometime I can go 2 weeks without a good move. I have been taking laxatives for years in order to clean myself out which I am sure is neither good for me. What suggestions do you have for me=-- I have tried eating the fiber, etc. Thank you in advance for your advice. Theresa

    A:

You're bowel movements are directly related to the foods you consume. Even with the consumption of fiber, there are foods in certain diets that contribute to irregular bowel movements as some foods take longer to break down. It's best to eliminate the foods from your diet that your body is accustom to receiving, giving it only what it needs. We suggest doing the 10 Day Colon Cleanse to help address impacted bowels. The cleanse and diet regimen can help repair the way your digestion track functions helping to improve your bowel movements.

Q: I have purchased and started your FULL BODY DETOX (FBD) but I need your advice. I'm a so-called diabetic, I'm not overweight 5'9" 140lbs. I've read many of your articles including the one titled "Can I take my medication with FBD?" The first day I started the detox, I didn't take my meds and all I ate was fruits and veggies but my blood sugar was higher than it had been in a long time...356 to be exact. So I stopped and started this week, while taking my meds and it's still been higher than normal...in the 200's range. I understand that you stated that the herbs would be working against the meds since they're considered poisons in the body. My concern is this, I want to continue to cleanse my body but I don't want my blood sugar to stay out of control for an extended period of time...for obvious reasons. My question is, what do you suggest I do in continuing this cleanse? Will the FBD regulate my blood sugar levels over the next 2 weeks as my body begins to repair itself? Or should I continue taking my meds until I'm done with the cleanse? I plan to do the pancreas cleanse next. Your advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you. Peace

    A:

Like we clearly and unequivocally explain in so many of our articles, the body is and will regulate itself and you will see this via fluctuation. Levels will be up and down and inconsistent. Your body is going to heal in its own way so if you are concerned about high levels for extended periods of time, you may want to take your meds and refrain from taking the herbs until your levels reach a level you feel safe with. You know, religion is not the only thing that requires faith. Healing requires faith too!

Q: I have been taking your herbs for 6 months now. My issue is I have a 3-5 day period and day 1 and 2 my period is heavy. I have never had a heavy period until I moved with my mother and 3 nieces and nephew a little over a year ago. I feel it is a metaphysical reason I am having these problems. I do not have any children of my own and I have never been married. I am 36 years old. Plus I eat mostly a raw food and vegan diet. My period started when I was 10 years old. What would you advise?

    A:

IT IS MOST DEFINITELY METAPHYSICAL. YOUR ENERGY HAS SYNCHRONIZED WITH THAT OF YOUR MOTHER'S AND NEICES. THE MENSES DENOTE CLEANSING SO A HEAVY MENSES MEANS YOUR DUMPING OFF THE TOXIC ENERGY OF ALL AROUND YOU, THAT'S ALL. YOU'RE TAKING IN ALL THE ENERGY OF THE PEOPLE IN THE HOUSE. THE FULL BODY DETOX AND TOTAL WOMAN CLEANSE IS GOOD FOR YOU TO FACILITATE THE CLEANSING PROCESS. BUT ALSO, MEDITATION, YOGA, READING POSITIVE MATERIAL, ETC.

Should I get something different such as red clover, and saw palmetto to take with fenugreek, or stick with the licorice for the 6 weeks to see what happens any advice is greatly appreciated!

Q: Hi! I just found this site and am intrigued. I love the fact that everything is so pure and natural! I was wondering how effective the wild yam birth control is? I would love to not be on this depo shot anymore because the hormones drive me crazy. But my husband and I are extremely fertile, so taking wild yam kind of makes me nervous. Thanks!
