While you can enjoy mango by itself, this smoothie features more than this lovely tropical fruit. The citrusy sweetness of freshly squeezed orange juice pairs beautifully with the creamy banana and almond milk. Don’t forget that you cannot use store bought almond milk if you are cleansing. We’ve included a link in the recipe ingredients for how to make your own almond milk. It’s almost too easy to make. Get yourself a nut milk bag because it’ll be the wisest investment you ever make. Most people don’t like to buy almond milk in the store after they realize how delicious the homemade variety is.

For an added protein boost, this smoothie has one tablespoon of chia seeds. They are also rich in fiber and omega-3 fatty acids, which boost brain and heart health. This smoothie is really a healthy, nutrient-dense concoction that tastes like a fruity milkshake. You’ll love it!

Banana Mango Smoothie

  • 1 c mango, cubed and frozen overnight
  • 1 banana, peeled and chopped
  • 1 tbsp. chia seeds
  • 1/2 c freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 1/2 c homemade almond milk


  1. Add all of the ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth.
  2. Pour the smoothie into a large cup and enjoy. Top with additional chia seeds for garnish.
