Chai Spice, Almond, AndCoconut Smoothie

The spices in a chai spice blend are known for their antioxidant, anti-inflammatory & digestive properties. Raw maca powder, which comes from the maca root, has been known to balance hormones, decrease anxiety, and boost energy levels and libido. And you get all of these benefits and more by drinking this smoothie.

For The Smoothie

  • 1/4 c unsweetened almond milk
  • 1/4 c coconut milk
  • 1 banana, frozen overnight
  • 1 tbsp. almond butter
  • 1 tsp. chai spice (recipe below)
  • 1/2 tsp. maca powder
  • 1 tbsp. ground flaxseed 
  • 1 tsp. grade A maple syrup

For the Chai Spice

  • 2 tsp. ground cardamom
  • 2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. ground cloves
  • 1 tsp. ground nutmeg
  • 1 tsp. ground ginger
  • 1 tsp. ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp. ground allspice 


For the Chai Spice

  1. To make the chai spice, all you need to do is add all of the spices to a small jar, cover, and shake well to combine.
  2. You can save this spice in your pantry or spice rack for future use.

For the Smoothie

  1. Add all of the ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth.
  2. Pour into a glass and enjoy.
