Crunchy Raw Romaine Wraps

  1 rater(s)

Who said that salad had to be eaten in a bowl? It’s so easy to take lettuce leaves and wrap your favorite ingredients in them. You can make a simple dipping sauce and call it a day. There’s no need to be fancy or complicated; simply think outside the box to stay interested in the raw foods diet.

Crunchy Raw Romaine Wraps
  • Prep Time: 15m
  • Total Time: 15m

For the Wraps

  • 1 carrot, sliced into matchsticks
  • 1 c red cabbage, shredded
  • 1 cucumber, sliced into matchsticks
  • 6 green onions, diced
  • 1/2 c cilantro, diced
  • 8 romaine lettuce leaves

For the Dip

  • 1/4 c coconut aminos
  • 1 tsp. sesame seeds (not toasted)
  • 1 tsp. raw agave syrup
  • pinch of red pepper flakes

For the Dipping Sauce

  1. Add all of the ingredients to a bowl and whisk to combine. Set aside while you assemble the wraps.

For the Wraps

  1. To make one wrap, place a single romaine leaf on a flat surface and make sure the top of the leaf is facing you. Put a little bit of each vegetable across the leaf as if you were about to assemble a sushi roll. Roll the leaf up and set the rolled side down to avoid opening.
  2. After assembling all of the wraps, get ready to dig in. Don't forget to dip the wraps in the dipping sauce!
