Cucumber Pineapple Smoothie

There’s no reason to avoid smoothies during the winter, especially when you can transport your taste buds to summer with this recipe. We love this smoothie because it has sweet, floral, and earthy notes, but it is delicious, first and foremost. Best of all, you can easily whip up this smoothie in about five minutes. That makes it an excellent choice to vamp up your morning routine!

Pineapple, ginger, orange, and almond milk are not abnormal smoothie ingredients. You see them in a lot of recipes, but you may not see cucumbers in a lot of smoothie recipes. Don’t be afraid of cucumbers in your smoothie! Just think of how much you love it when you enjoy a glass of cool cucumber water. Cucumber does the same thing in smoothies, adding a light, balancing flavor that comes with a long list of vitamins, minerals, and fiber. We encourage you to chop up a cucumber and place it in the freezer overnight because it creates a better texture in your smoothie.

The beauty of this smoothie is just how easy it is to make. Just grab your ingredients, add them to the blender, blend, and enjoy. It’s always a good idea to prep your ingredients the day before, especially if you are using fresh ingredients and freezing them. This is the best way to get the most nutrient bang for you buck. Lastly, you’ll need to make the almond milk yourself, which you can also do the day before you want to enjoy the smoothie. Check out our homemade almond milk recipe here.
