Sometimes we have moments of weakness and we just let go and eat every single item we’re craving. It happens to the best of us. If this ever happens to you, or you just want to enjoy a delicious, hearty salad on a raw food diet, this detox salad can help flush out your system with all the beneficial nutrients it is loaded with.

  • Prep Time: 10m
  • Total Time: 10m

For the Salad

  • 2 c kale
  • 2 c broccoli florets
  • 2 c brussels sprouts, roughly chopped
  • 2 c red cabbage, roughly chopped
  • 1 c carrots, roughly chopped
  • ½ cup fresh parsley
  • ½ cup raw almonds
  • 1 tbsp. raw sunflower seeds

For the Dressing

  • 3 tbsp. olive oil
  • ½ cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp. fresh ginger, peeled and grated
  • 1/4 tsp. ground mustard seed
  • 2 tsp. grade B maple syrup
  • ¼ tsp. sea salt

  1. Using a food processor, process all the veggies, except for the parsley, until finely blended. Chop the parsley and mix it in with the rest of the veggies in a large bowl.
  2. Add the almonds to the food processor and pulse, until roughly chopped, and mix in with the salad along with the sunflower seeds.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together all the ingredients for the dressing and drizzle over top of the salad OR place in a jar and use as needed. Enjoy!
