Eat Yourself Skinny With This Superfood Detox Salad

If this ever happens to you, or you just want to enjoy a delicious, hearty salad on a raw food diet, this detox salad can help flush out your system with all the beneficial nutrients it is loaded with.

Ingredients

For the Salad

  • 2 c kale
  • 2 c broccoli florets
  • 2 c brussels sprouts, roughly chopped
  • 2 c red cabbage, roughly chopped
  • 1 c carrots, roughly chopped
  • ½ cup fresh parsley
  • ½ cup raw almonds
  • 1 tbsp. raw sunflower seeds

For the Dressing

  • 3 tbsp. olive oil
  • ½ cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp. fresh ginger, peeled and grated
  • 1/4 tsp. ground mustard seed
  • 2 tsp. grade B maple syrup
  • ¼ tsp. sea salt

Instructions

  1. Using a food processor, process all the veggies, except for the parsley, until finely blended. Chop the parsley and mix it in with the rest of the veggies in a large bowl.
  2. Add the almonds to the food processor and pulse, until roughly chopped, and mix in with the salad along with the sunflower seeds.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together all the ingredients for the dressing and drizzle over top of the salad OR place in a jar and use as needed. Enjoy!
