Fresh Fall Fruit Salad

  1 rater(s)

A fruit salad is really any combination of fruits, but this recipe calls for classic fall produce items. Pears and apples offer a refreshing crunch, but they can easily turn brown. That won’t happen in this recipe because of the lemon dressing. Dressing on a fruit salad? Yes, indeed! The dressing actually enhances the inherent flavors of the fruit and the lemon prevents any browning.

This recipe also calls for pomegranates, which can be tricky to open. While you can buy the pomegranate arils, we love fresh whole pomegranates. If you want to learn the easiest way to open a pomegranate with minimal mess, check out our YouTube video by clicking here. We hope you like the video and the fall fruit salad!

  • 2 pears, cut into small cubes
  • 1/2 c red seedless grapes, halved
  • 1/2 c green grapes, halved
  • 1 pomegranate, arils only

For the Dressing

  • 1 tbsp. raw agave nectar
  • 1 tbsp. freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp. filtered water
  • 1/4 tsp. cinnamon

Instructions

For the Fruit Salad

  1. After you prep all of the fruit, add everything to a large mixing bowl and set aside while you make the dressing.
  2. Just a quick reminder: make sure the apples and pears are cubed into bite-size pieces. The smaller they are, they easier they are to eat with the other fruit in this salad.

For the Dressing

  1. Add all of the ingredients to a small bowl and whisk to combine.
  2. Drizzle the dressing over the bowl of fruit salad and toss to coat all of the ingredients. Serve and enjoy.
