Melon Mint Cucumber Smoothie

One cup of honeydew provides over five ounces of water, and cucumbers are made up of around 96% water. That is about the highest water content of any food. Plus, they are naturally rich in many vitamins and dietary fiber.

Apart from the water content, honeydew melon is a great source of vitamin C, with one cup providing one-third of the recommended daily intake. The immune system needs vitamin C to protect the body against viruses, bacteria, and pathogens. Vitamin C’s antioxidant activity also works to protect cells from free radical damage, which can increase the risk of chronic disease. Regular intake of vitamin C is necessary to support optimal immune function.

Cucumber and honeydew supply water, vitamins, and minerals, but they aren’t the only ingredients that bring impressive nutrition to the smoothie.   • 2 c honeydew, cubed
  • 1 c English cucumber, chopped
  • 12 mint leaves
  • 2 limes, juiced
  • 1 tsp. raw agave nectar


  1. Add all of the ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth. You can add more ice if you want the smoothie to be a little thicker.
  2. Pour into two large cups and enjoy immediately.
