Believe it or not, one of the best ways to encourage healthier hair is by eating the right foods. While certain people have naturally strong and beautiful hair, others need to nourish hair as often as possible. Scalp scrubs, hair masks, and other DIY hair care products are great for topical application, but different vitamins and minerals help boost hair growth from the inside.

Consuming a diet that lacks a diverse mix of nutrients can lead to hair loss. Specifically, deficiencies in vitamin B12 and vitamin D, biotin, iron, and biotin are associated with hair loss. Spinach, for example, is an excellent source of iron, folate, and vitamins A and C, all of which encourage hair growth. Studies show that proper vitamin A intake can support hair growth, but too much vitamin A can lead to hair loss. Iron helps red blood cells carry oxygen throughout the body. That can help fuel your metabolism and aid hair growth.

The vitamin C in pineapple contributes to smoother, shiner, and softer hair. Bromelain, an enzyme in pineapple, is known for its anti-inflammatory properties. It enriches hair follicles as well, helping to improve the thickness, and elasticity of your hair. With that, we hope you enjoy the smoothie that promotes healthier hair.
