Oil-Free, Nut-Free Raw Avocado Pesto

Aside from being savory, herbaceous, and highly nutritious, this avocado pesto is incredibly versatile. You can toss it with raw zucchini noodles for a filling entree, or dip carrot sticks in it for a healthy snack. Maybe you just want to eat it with a spoon and call it a day! However you choose to consume this pesto, one thing is for certain: you will enjoy it!

  • 1 1/4 c fresh basil leaves
  • 1/2 ripe large avocado, peeled and pitted
  • 1/4 c raw tahini
  • 1/4 c filtered water
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3/4 tsp. sea salt
  • pinch of black pepper


  1. Add all of the ingredients to a blender or food processor and blend until smooth.
  2. You can serve right away or store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
