Purple Power Juice with Beets, Pears, & Ginger

  7 rater(s)

Because this juice has several powerful flavors (apples, ginger, lemon, beets, and carrots), you can play around with different amounts to get it to taste the way you want to. Adding more beets and carrots will give it a rich, earthy flavor, while more lemon or ginger will bring a refreshing zing. Beets are excellent for detoxification support, lowering blood pressure, fighting inflammation, and they give you an energy boost. The apple and pear give you a healthy dose of fiber, the carrots support healthy skin and vision, and the lemon helps alkalize your body.

Ingredients

  • 2 beets
  • 3 carrots
  • 1 apple
  • 1 pear
  • 1/2 lemon
  • a thumb-size piece of ginger (optional)

Instructions

Blender/Food Processor Directions

  1. Peel the beets and and carrots and remove the stems. Cut the beets, carrots, apple and pear into small chunks and add them to the blender or food processor. Process with some distilled water until smooth. Taste and add fresh-squeezed lemon juice and grated ginger if desired. The more ginger you add, the less you will taste the beets. Pour into a glass and enjoy!

Juicer Directions

  1. Cut the beets, apple and pear into sizes that will fit down the chute. Feed them down the chute one at a time until processed. Taste and add fresh-squeezed lemon juice and a knob of ginger if desired. The more ginger you add, the less you will taste the beets. Pour into a glass and enjoy!
