Raw Almond Milk

  4 rater(s)

Making raw almond milk is a lot easier than it seems. A major plus is having a good blender that can effectively pulse the almonds.

  • Prep Time: 6h 5m
  • Total Time: 6h 5m

Ingredients

  • 1 c raw almonds
  • water for soaking nuts
  • 3 c water
  • 1/2 tsp. alcohol-free vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions

  1. Soak the almonds in water overnight or for at least 6 hours.
  2. Drain the water from the almonds and discard. Blend the 3 cups of water and almonds until well blended and almost smooth.
  3. Strain the blended almond mixture using a cheesecloth or other strainer. Flavor with vanilla if you are using it.

Notes:

Homemade raw almond milk will keep well in the refrigerator for three or four days.
