Making raw almond milk is a lot easier than it seems. A major plus is having a good blender that can effectively pulse the almonds.
- Prep Time: 6h 5m
- Total Time: 6h 5m
- 1 c raw almonds
- water for soaking nuts
- 3 c water
- 1/2 tsp. alcohol-free vanilla extract (optional)
- Soak the almonds in water overnight or for at least 6 hours.
- Drain the water from the almonds and discard. Blend the 3 cups of water and almonds until well blended and almost smooth.
- Strain the blended almond mixture using a cheesecloth or other strainer. Flavor with vanilla if you are using it.
Homemade raw almond milk will keep well in the refrigerator for three or four days.
