Spinach Salad with Maple Vinaigrette



For the Salad

  • 4 c spinach
  • 1 large sweet apple, cut in quarters, cored, and thinly sliced
  • 1/2 c raw walnuts

For the Dressing

  • 1 tsp. grade A maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp. raw apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
  • dash of sea salt and pepper to taste


  1. Wash and dry chard. Slice into ribbons or tear into small pieces and add to large bowl. Add apples, walnuts and craisins to bowl. Whisk dressing ingredients in a small separate bowl and pour over salad. Mix and serve.
