It can be difficult to make a nutrient-dense meal. Ideally, you want to include an assortment of colorful fruits and vegetables, but dishes don’t always come together with those ingredients. One way to include all of those ingredients in one recipe is by making a smoothie. The smoothie may be the best way to consume a diverse mix of beneficial nutrients in one fell swoop. Well, that’s the case for this recipe.
Smoothies, especially green smoothies, are the perfect vehicles for sneaking in powerhouse ingredients, including spinach, kale, hemp seeds, chia seeds, and more. When it comes to spinach, which is in this recipe, you cannot really taste it if you add other sweet ingredients. Sweeter ingredients that mask bitter flavors include bananas, apples, and berries. This green smoothie also has the addition of raw almond butter, which offers protein, healthy fats, and fiber. Plus, it complements the other flavors with its signature nuttiness.
Despite the fact that this smoothie is green, it tastes like a cinnamon apple dessert recipe. The combination of cinnamon, apple, and almond butter gives this smoothie a caramel apple-like flavor. The best part is that it isn’t insanely sweet, so you don’t overwhelm your taste buds. Instead, each sip of the smoothie is an enjoyable experience. Let us know if you agree in the comments below.
