The base of this juice recipe is beets, which have a naturally sweet yet earthy flavor. When you pair beets with ingredients like carrots, pineapples, and lemons, you bring out the inherent sweetness. This results in a refreshing juice, as opposed to a savory beverage.

Beets are naturally rich in iron, potassium, boron, folate, silica, phytosterols, and betaine. They have natural cleansing properties that aid liver function, and they may also help increase athletic performance. Nitrates are vasodilators, which widen blood vessels to help improve blood flow. They also relax the veins, making it so the heart doesn’t have to work as heard when it pumps blood to and from the extremities. Ingredients

  • 1 beet, peeled and cubed
  • 2 carrots, peeled and chopped
  • 1 c pineapple, cubed
  • 1 lemon, seeded and quartered

Instructions

  1. Process all of the ingredients through a juicer.
  2. You can leave the lemon peel on for extra nutrients and zing, or you can remove it. That is entirely up to you.
  3. Drink the juice within 15 minutes. Enjoy!
