When infants are breast fed, they receive all the nutrients from the milk of the mother and the foods that she is consuming. The infant can naturally get more vitamin k by having the mother consume more foods that are rich in the vitamin k. Foods that have a high source of Vitamin K include dried basil, thyme or parsley, green leafy vegetables like kale, spinach, mustard greens, Brussels Sprouts, Asparagus, olive oil and dried fruits like prunes, blueberries and peaches. The diet of a mother that is breastfeeding is very important to the health of the infant. We suggest trying the Electric Greens combo as it helps provide plant-based nutrients that are beneficial to the health of the mother and the child.
