Previous research demonstrated a link between blood types and certain health conditions. With this information, researchers started assessing a person’s risk and severity of COVID-19 infection based on blood types. Experts agree that people with blood type O may have a reduced risk of COVID-19, while people with blood type A have a higher risk.

Preliminary results from a study in China, which examined 2,173 people with COVID-19, identified a link between contraction and blood type. People with blood type O had a lower risk of contraction, and people with blood type A or AB had a higher risk. An April 2020 study conducted by Columbia University had similar results to the Chinese study. People with blood type A were 33% more likely to contract COVID-19 than people with blood type O.

The Four Main Blood Groups

Blood Group A

This group has A antigens on red blood cells that have anti-B antibodies in plasma.

Blood Group B

This group has B antigens and anti-A antibodies in plasma.

Blood Group AB

This group has both A and B antigens without antibodies in plasma.

Blood Group O

This group has no antigens, but it has both anti-A and anti-B antibodies in plasma.

Certain antibody tests revealed that people with blood type O had an easier time fighting off the SARS virus, when compared to people with blood type A. Experts believe that this was attributed to the presence of anti-A and anti-B antibodies in people with blood type O. In fact, a Hong Kong hospital stated that people with anti-A antibodies inhibited and occasionally blocked the virus form attaching to a host cell.

What Makes Blood Types Unique?

According to Nicholas Tatonetti, Ph.D., assistant professor of biomedical informatics at Columbia Initiative for Systems Biology, different blood types present different features. For instance, different blood types posses certain proteins that influence blood circulation. It is also possible that people who share your blood type have something in common that increases or decreases your risk of contracting a virus. Unfortunately, experts haven’t pinpointed what that shared common factor is.

Should You Worry If You Have Blood Type A?

First and foremost, all of the aforementioned research is strictly preliminary, and not all of it is specific to coronavirus. No tests demonstrate that people with blood type O are 100% protected against coronavirus, and no tests reveal that people with blood type A are 100% susceptible. Many other factors, including underlying health conditions, physical condition, sleep schedules, and diet, contribute to protection and susceptibility rates. These studies simply open new doors that can enhance medical research for future diseases, viruses, or illnesses.

People with blood type A do not need to panic, and people with blood type O shouldn’t relax. You should enforce social distancing, regular hand washing, and wear facial coverings when out in public, no matter what blood type you are. The guidelines presented by health authorities are for everyone, not just people with certain blood types.

How Do You Find Out Your Blood Type?

If you don’t know your blood type, there’s no reason to feel ashamed. Many people are unaware of their blood type. You can ask your doctor about your blood type, but he/she will only be able to give you that information if a sample of your blood was taken and tested. You can go get a blood test or contact your local blood bank to see what your options are.

Health experts, infectious disease specialists, and scientists continue to learn more about the coronavirus every day. With studies like these, experts hope to understand the biology of COVID-19. Finally, wash your hands, keep a physical distance from others, and follow public health guidelines to stay safe.

Blood types are a little mysterious, but your blood type can reveal a lot about your health. They don’t just indicate who has the best blood to donate or who you can receive blood from; rather, new findings are revealing that blood types have certain patterns of personal health. There are four types of blood: A, B, AB, and O. An Rh factor can be either positive or negative for each of these four blood types.

Common With Blood Type A

Some blood types are more prone to having hormonal imbalances. People with blood type A are more prone to having a higher cortisol (the stress hormone) count in their bodies. Sometimes blood type A people may find it more difficult to get rid of stress or they get anxious more quickly. These people can also have an increased risk of stomach cancer, especially if they smoke cigarettes and drink alcohol.

Common With Blood Type B

People with blood type B typically have a good metabolism, but they are usually more prone to developing ulcers or memory problems like Alzheimer’s disease. Because people with this blood type have quick metabolisms, it is easier for them to build muscle and they respond well to exercise. Don’t think that having blood type B is a bad thing.

Common With Type AB

One of the most contingent health risks for people with this blood type is cardiovascular disease. In fact, they have a 23% greater chance of suffering heart disease, when compared to those with type O. AB patients are also 82% more likely to have certain memory problems. Some research indicates that this may be due to clotting protein, which inhibits quality blood flow to the brain.

Common With Type O

Compared to blood type AB, blood type O people have a lower risk of developing heart disease. However, people with this blood type may be more susceptible to developing stomach ulcers caused by H. pylori bacteria. Men with type O are usually more prone to obesity, while women may have fewer eggs that aren’t of the highest quality; this may make natural conception difficult. Blood type A patients are more prone to stress, but O blood type patients are typically resistant to stress, due to the fact that cortisol levels drop quicker after experiencing something traumatic.

Exercising For Your Blood Type

The makeup of one’s antigens or red blood cells can determine which hormones get released, which is why everyone responds differently to various exercises. People with A and B blood types usually respond better to low-impact exercises like Tai Chi, Pilates, or yoga. People with AB blood usually prefer cardiovascular or full body workouts that work to boost their immune systems. People with type O are slightly different. Our best advice is to do light cardio workouts or exercises that involve light weightlifting.

More research still needs to be done, but these are very common findings as of now.

Eat Right For Your Blood Type? https://www.dherbs.com/articles/diet-nutrition/eat-right-for-your-blood-type/ Thu, 13 Jun 2013 16:25:54 +0000 https://www.dherbs.com/uncategorized/eat-right-for-your-blood-type/ Humans are so degenerate pertaining to diet. Determine blood type in order to improve upon their health. This is ludicrous. Look at blood to determine what I should be eating? This is nonsense. Eat according to energy, not blood type.

A recent trend has suggested that people should develop their diet according to their blood type. However, physical factors and energy levels are very effective at determining the ideal diet for an individual.

Eat Right for Your Blood Type” is designed to explain why some foods are easily digested and others are not. This theory believes that people with certain blood types are pre-disposed to digest foods differently than those with a different blood type. The issue isn’t the type of blood, but rather that many people choose the wrong foods to eat. Many of today’s popular foods are highly processed and are filled with artificial ingredients.

The human body reacts much more favorably to whole, natural, organic foods, than they do to processed and artificial foods. Eating foods that are as close to its natural state as possible is the best diet for our body.

Natural Food Sources

All human beings should be consuming similar types of food. Nature may offer different foods from one region to another but we are made to survive off natural food sources.

We may think that we all react to foods differently but our physical make-up is designed to work the same way. Animals are also built similarly. They all have relatively the same diets because certain foods are readily available to them in nature and they heavily rely on them to survive.

The human digestive system does not work well with artificial and processed foods because they are not found in nature. Similar to animals, humans are meant to survive with the nutrients found in nature in order to sustain healthy livelihoods.

Eating according to one’s blood type may suit those who despise tracking calories, but others may find it very difficult to stay within the designated list of foods. This is particularly impractical for a family that may have different blood types.

Blood Tests

Though, live blood cell microscopy is very beneficial to one’s health. However, hospitals usually freeze and then heat the blood using microwave ovens. This process may change the molecular structure of the blood. Live blood cell microscopy is the most effective way to study the contents of the blood.

Determining one’s blood type will not improve their health. Humans are developed to eat certain types of foods and it does not vary dramatically from one human to another. Even though some humans may have food allergies and intolerances, the basis of our diet should be very similar.

Techniques in Africa

Due to incorrect and improper eating, large populations of humans have developed pathology and disease. Since animals live in accordance to the immutable laws of nature, there’s no disease amongst them, unless initiated by man. So-called savages in Africa tend to have greater and more optimal health than the citizens from the most affluent nations on the earth.

Many countries in Africa use live blood cell microscopy when a rare sickness or disease occurs. The medicine man/woman pricks a finger of the sick person and allows a little blood to come up and out. Then he/she sprinkles a powdered herb onto the blood, causing the blood to change color. The medicine man/woman knows immediately what the cause of sickness or disease is and treats the person accordingly. The medicine man/woman does not treat the disease, but rather treats the person who is affected by the disease. Disease is dependent of the person. The person must be treated because the disease is an indicator of what’s wrong with the person. The medicine man/woman uses this technique to heal the person on all levels.

Energy

There are many that eat dairy, eggs, and meat under the pretense of eating right for their blood type. Their blood type and diet is determined for them. They are not aware of the diet that nature is intending for them.

Energy is far more sufficient than blood. Blood is for physiological purposes, but energy is for overall existence.

A person should eat based on their biogenetic makeup and blueprint. Humans are meant to eat based upon their physical and energy levels. The physical level includes their biological and genetic makeup. Energy is the first and only true food because we are energy beings.

On a rudimentary scale, we must eat according to our kind and not simply our species. The species of birds do not only eat seeds. You must break that species down by its kind or phylum. For example, one phylum of birds, which includes parrot keet, hummingbird, canaries, and blue jays, are vegetarian. Another phylum of birds, which includes vultures, eagles, hawks, and buzzards, eats meat because they are predators.

If you feed the birds that are vegetarian, animal flesh, they will die. If you feed the predatory birds, seeds or vegetarian matter, they will die. They are all birds and members of the bird species, but they are broken down into tribes, classes, or phylum.

Alternatives

A non-intrusive alternative approach to blood-based diet predicated upon finger pricking is the pendulum. A pendulum is a non-invasive metaphysical tool that involves energy. A pendulum gives a straight “yes” or “no” answer. Any food can be determined as energetically compatible and/or healthy or good for you and your family to eat. This is also a great tool to determine specific food allergies. The pendulum serves as an extension of your intuition that is not commonly used or trusted.

Solutions

By constantly cleansing or detoxifying the body, it becomes very sensitive and immediately knows what’s good and what’s not.

Dherbs doesn’t recommend blood transfusions due to their inherent risk to the body’s overall health.

As no two people’s blood is EXACTLY alike, it’s not healthy to take the blood of someone since their blood is formulated exclusively for their body. While blood can be “typed” and “matched” your body may reject it for a variety of reasons.

Blood transfusions are like an organ transplant-even with the most thorough testing, matching and typing, there’s a possibility the transfusion will be rejected, causing severe damage to vital organs, and possibly death.

Risks and Side Effects

Blood transfusions have several known side effects:

Allergic reaction (hives)

Even with an exact blood match, it’s possible to have an allergic reaction to parts of the blood received in the transfusion.

Fever

While a fever itself may not be cause for worry, doctors usually stop transfusions if the patient spikes a fever while receiving the blood as it may indicate a more serious side-effect.

 Acute Immune Hemolytic Reaction

This a rare, but potentially deadly, side effect from receiving a blood transfusion. The reaction is triggered by the body rejecting the transfused blood, usually due to an improper match in blood types.

Delayed Hemolytic Reaction

While the same reaction as the acute immune hemolytic reaction, the delayed reaction takes longer to manifest itself.

Lung Injury

This can happen due to antibodies or other pathogens in the transfused blood that accumulate in the lungs.

Blood Infection

Although a rare side effect, blood infections can be transferred through blood transfusions including:

  • HIV/AIDS
  • Hepatitis B
  • Hepatitis C
  • West Nile Virus
  • Sepsis (bacterial infection)

Iron Overdose

It’s possible to receive too much iron as a result of a blood transfusion, which can damage internal organs, such as the heart and liver.

Graft-versus-Host Disease

White blood cells attack the red blood cells transfused into the body, essentially treating the infused blood as an infection. While rare, graft-versus-host disease is usually fatal.

Alternatives to Blood Transfusions

There are currently no alternatives to blood transfusions, since the body needs a fixed amount of blood to survive.

If you anticipate needing a blood transfusion (such as needing surgery or giving birth), it’s advised to donate blood to the hospital’s blood bank so your own blood will be transfused back into your body, reducing the likelihood of experiencing the known risks or side effects.

To rebuild, strengthen, fortify, tone, revivify, and nourish the blood, use herbs such as:

Liquid chlorophyll is a great aid to rebuild, fortify, tone, revivify, and nourish the blood.

Eating foods rich in organic iron (Iron Phosphate) will also help rebuild, fortify, tone, revivify, and nourish the blood.
