Bright, refreshing, and deeply nourishing, this pineapple lime basil sorbet fuses vibrant tropical sweetness and herbal vitality. Made with 100% raw vegan ingredients, this sorbet captures the essence of whole-food living while delivering a naturally energizing treat. Juicy pineapple serves as the base, offering a rich source of vitamin C and bromelain, an enzyme that helps support digestive function and lower inflammation. The fresh lime juice gives this sorbet a zesty kick, while contributing alkalizing properties and an added boost of vitamin C.

The addition of fresh basil to this sorbet brings more than a fragrant, garden-fresh note. Basil is a powerful herb that was traditionally used to help combat stress and support overall wellness. It is rich in essential oils and phytonutrients, which may assist in reducing oxidative stress and promoting a sense of overall balance within the body. Because this sorbet includes raw agave nectar, which has a lower glycemic index than refined sugar, it becomes a guilt-free indulgence that satisfies cravings without the unnecessary crash.

Once you taste this revitalizing sorbet, you’ll realize that it is more of a celebration of clean, plant-based ingredients working in harmony than an indulgent dessert. Each spoonful delivers a burst of hydration, digestive support, and natural energy, making it a perfect option for those seeking a wholesome dessert. Free from dairy, processed sugars, and artificial additives, this basil sorbet aligns with a holistic lifestyle focused on nourishment, vitality, and conscious consumption. Treat yourself to not only deliciously sweet flavors, but also lots of nutrition!

Craving a little ice cream but want a healthier option that is dairy-free and raw vegan? You clicked on the right recipe! Allow us to introduce you to vanilla banana nice cream, which is a satisfying, easy-to-make alternative to traditional dairy ice cream. It is naturally sweet and uses simple, whole-food ingredients, yielding a creamy texture that rivals its traditional counterpart. Whether you want a clean, plant-based dessert or need to use up some ripe bananas, this recipe ticks every box. It is also fully customizable, should you want to add raw cacao, desiccated coconut, or other raw vegan ingredients.

The reason it is called nice cream is because it is nicer (and healthier) than traditional ice cream. Nice cream is primarily made from frozen fruit, most commonly bananas. Bananas become smooth and creamy when you blend them, almost creating a soft-serve-like texture without the need for dairy. At its core, a nice cream recipe calls for frozen bananas, a blender or food processor, optional flavor add-ins. The simplicity is what makes it so great! When you blend bananas, their natural starch and sugar content yield a creamy consistency. Peaches, nectarines, and mangos have also yield a similar result and offer incredible texture, flavor, and sweetness.

The key to a successful nice cream is frozen bananas. Make sure to peel, slice, and freeze the bananas overnight because you do not want giant pieces of banana. That will create more work for your food processor or high-speed blender. Just make sure to use ripe bananas, as bananas that have a greener peel won’t offer that sweet flavor you want from this nice cream.

Mango strawberry sorbet is a pleasant, balanced frozen dessert that is a beautiful blend of the tropics. The sorbet is a vibrant color that is as inviting as its refreshing flavors. It is the perfect go-to treat for warmer spring weather. Each spoonful of this velvety sorbet melts gently on your tongue, leaving behind and sweetly tart flavor of strawberry mango goodness.

Should you not want to use mango, or if mangos are not in season in your area, you can swap them out for ripe peaches, nectarines, pineapple, or another fruit that yields a similar tropical flavor. You can also swap out the strawberries with other berries, such as raspberries, blackberries, or blueberries, if you prefer those flavors. Those other berries also go great with mango! Once you have your blend, taste the mixture and adjust the ingredients as needed. You may want to add more lime juice, agave nectar, or even more strawberries or mango. Trust your taste buds!

Once you blend the ingredients together, pour the mixture into a freezer-safe container. If you pour the mixture into a shallow dish, it will freeze more quickly than if you pour it into a deeper dish. Cover the dish and place it in the freezer for about four to six hours, or overnight. Just leave it in there until it is frozen solid. You can stir the sorbet every couple hours with a fork to break up any ice crystals that form. That will yield the best texture. When ready to serve, let the sorbet sit at room temperature for five to 10 minutes. That will allow it to soften just enough to be perfectly scoopable.

This raw vegan avocado lime pudding is a dessert, but it could be a breakfast if you really wanted it to be. It sort of feels a little smug, but in a good way. It comes together in just a matter of minutes with nothing more than a food processor or blender, transforming luxuriously ripe avocados, fresh lime juice, and a touch of natural sweetness (grade A maple syrup) into a silky-smooth “pudding.” Don’t worry about baking, or a bunch of pots and pans to clean up. This is a no-fuss recipe that requires absolutely no culinary gymnastics.

You don’t have to worry…avocados do the heavy lifting in this recipe. They bring a luxuriously creamy texture along with some serious nutritional benefit. They are rich in heart-healthy monounsaturated fats, fiber that helps keep you satiated, and potassium and vitamin E. Ultimately, this is the dessert that shows up wearing sweatpants to the company party, but somehow is the only thing there that has its life together.

And although this pudding it’s green, let’s clear this up right now: it could nowhere close to guacamole. There are no onions, no garlic, no tomatoes, no jalapeños, and no chips hovering nearby for confusion. The bright lime adds freshness and a pleasant tartness, while the maple syrup and banana add lovely sweetness to balance everything out. The result is a vibrant, refreshing dessert with a hint of citrus, not a dip at a taco bar.

Do you stuff your face with as much food as possible on Thanksgiving Day? If yes, you are not alone, but all that eating can put a lot of stress on the digestive system, in addition to other systems and organs in the body. Thanksgiving food is typically high in fats (more saturated than not), dairy products, sugar, salt, and packaged products. Fortunately for you, there are thoughtful Thanksgiving portion control tips that allow you to savor the dishes you want without overindulging.

Why Does Portion Control Matter?

Sure, most people let themselves succumb to every temptation at the Thanksgiving feast. High-calorie dishes like mashed potatoes, buttery stuffing, dense pumpkin and pecan pies, oily ham, and so much more fill the table. It is perfectly fine to indulge in your favorite dishes, but excessive overeating can lead to bloating, stomach discomfort, and overall setbacks to your health goals. By practicing portion control, you can enjoy the holidays and family without derailing your health.

Begin The Day With A Balanced Breakfast

That’s right, folks, portion control begins before any of your favorite Thanksgiving dishes are even made. Start the day on the right track by making a balanced breakfast. Opt for a fruit and vegetable smoothie, chia pudding, overnight oats, or plain Greek yogurt with fresh fruit and almond butter.

Examine The Spread Before Grabbing A Plate

Before you grab a plate and begin your mission of eating, go over to the spread and give it a good scan. Identify your “must-have” dishes and locate the ones you can live without. That strategy will help you focus on enjoying your favorite dishes without eating unnecessary calories from dishes you are iffy about.

Use A Small Plate

According to dietary research, using a smaller plate can help you naturally eat less while still feeling satiated. By using a smaller plate, you force yourself to be more mindful about your portions and food choices. It also reduces the temptation to overfill the plate. It just takes a little more effort on your part to avoid returning to the buffet table over and over again.

Employ “The Plate” Method

This method involves some simple calculations on your part when filling your plate. Keep half of your plate available for vegetables (not including potatoes), a quarter for starches or grains, and a quarter for lean protein. Filling your plate in this way ensures that you will enjoy a balanced meal with plenty of nutrients that support portion control.

Practice Portion Awareness

Are there spoonfuls of dishes on Thanksgiving, or is everything served in piles? It is very easy to underestimate portion sizes, especially with rich Thanksgiving classics. One serving of turkey should be as big as a deck of cards. A serve of mashed potatoes should look like a half-cup measuring cup.

Stay Hydrated

Water is a necessary part of life, but it is especially helpful on Thanksgiving Day. The reason to ensure proper hydration is to help you feel fuller and prevent overeating. Additionally, sufficient water intake helps optimize digestive function. Before you go back to the buffet for a second helping, drink a full glass of water.

Choose Your Favorite Dessert

Most Thanksgiving desserts are often irresistible, but that doesn’t mean you have to sample them all. You probably know what most desserts taste like, so choose your favorite dessert and savor every bite. Either that or consider choosing two desserts in moderation. Maybe a relative or friend wants to split a dessert and that’ll work in your favor!

If you let summer end without making these creamy peach pops, then you didn’t fully live this summer. Peach popsicles are a great summer dessert for the entire family to enjoy. They utilize fresh peaches, which have a lovely natural sweetness and subtle tartness. Just make sure the peaches are not overripe, or else you may have some questionably flavored peach pops. Think of these like healthier versions of creamsicles, in that they are free of dyes, added sugars, and preservatives.

The homemade almond milk is the creamy element, so make sure that you have that prepped and ready to go before you start blending the peaches. You’ll also need to acquire popsicle molds if you don’t already own them. You may not know which molds to get, but we encourage you to buy the silicone molds. Some of these molds already have the included tops so that you do not have to purchase popsicle sticks. Plus, these molds do not crack when you try to remove the peach pops from them. Just run them under a little warm water and they’ll pop right out!

If you want to get a little fancy, feel free to add some fresh peach slices to the popsicle molds. That will add another level of flavor and texture to these already delicious peach pops. If you like this recipe and want to see more like it, make sure to leave a comment or shout out the recipe on social media. We love to see when people make the recipes we post!

There is nothing wrong with slicing up a peach and enjoying it as a snack. You can freeze the slices and add them to smoothies or add fresh peaches to summer fruit salads. All of that sounds perfect, but sometimes you have to think outside the box to celebrate the majestic peach during the height of its season. When you roast peaches, though, the natural sugars caramelize to create a delightful treat that surprises the taste buds in the best way possible. This is truly a way to transform a beautiful fruit into a warm, healthy dessert that everyone can enjoy.

If you have never experienced the wonder of roasted peaches, you are in for a real treat. The flavor seems to intensify with each bite, delivering a sweet and almost savory dessert. You can serve them on their own or with a fresh scoop of vegan ice cream. The refreshing chill of a fresh scoop of ice cream is the perfect match for the succulent roasted peach that you serve warm. If you are not a dessert person, consider serving roasted peaches as a breakfast or brunch side. In fact, they make quite an elegant addition to your breakfast or brunch spread.

Roasting peaches is a very straightforward process that you will surely master the first time you make the recipe. Once you do it, you will want to make the recipe again and again, each time putting your own flavor or spin on the dish. Like anything, practice makes perfect, but you can make this dish whether you are master chef or novice cook. Just make sure you do one thing for us: enjoy this recipe!

Free yourself from the store bought box of popsicles that is seemingly healthy and go straight for the good stuff with these refreshing pineapple possibles. All you need are three simple ingredients and about 15 minutes of your time. Well, you also need to have some patience because the popsicles need to freeze before you can enjoy them. In fact, we think that waiting is the hardest part of this entire recipe!

Popsicles make for the perfect summer treat, whether you want to cool off on a hot day or make healthy treats for the little ones. Not only are these pineapple popsicles raw vegan, but they are free of the unhealthy colors, syrups, and artificial flavors that most store bought popsicles have. They are also highly versatile, meaning you can add or subtract ingredients if you so desire. Just make sure that the ingredients you add are cleanse-approved if you still want this recipe to be raw vegan. You can add mango, passion fruit, or even berries!

When it comes time to pick your pineapple, make sure to choose a ripe one. The easiest way to do this is by pulling one or two of the central green leaves out of the top. If the leaves come out easily, then the pineapple is ripe and good to go. If it is hard to pull one out, the pineapple still needs time to ripen. Using a sweet pineapple is totally fine because of the fresh lime juice in the popsicles. It really goes well with pineapple sweetly tart flavor. We hope you love this recipe as much as we do. Tag us if you take a pic with one in the summer sun!

If you look at the ingredient label on a pint or quart of ice cream, you will notice a long list of ingredients, with sugar being high on the list. The more complicated your flavor (think moose tracks, or sea salt caramel with chocolate swirl), the more sugar and ingredients the ice cream has. This apricot sorbet is the opposite of that. Not only is it free of excess sugar, but it also doesn’t contain stabilizers or other preservatives. It is pure, raw vegan goodness!

When life gives you apricots, you make apricot sorbet, because you sure can’t make lemonade out of apricots! Apricots have a slightly tart and sweet flavor profile, but every now and again, you can come across a batch with subpar flavor. Sure, you could dehydrate that batch to make dried apricots, or you could turn the apricots into a magnificent sorbet. We did exactly that because making sorbet is very simple and requires almost none of your time. You simply blend the ingredients together, add them to a freezer-safe container, freezer until firm, and then scoop to enjoy.

From start to finish, this sorbet takes about 10 minutes to prep and blend. Make it a little after lunch and it’ll be ready to enjoy by the time you finish eating dinner. Even though the sorbet is sweetened with maple syrup, it is not overly sweet. The fresh lemon juice brings a zesty acidity, so the sorbet is not overly sweet. It is beautifully creamy and smooth, so make it now while apricots are in season. Get them before they leave supermarket shelves!

Are you ready to indulge in the velvety decadence of this unique, raw vegan blueberry avocado pudding? It’s a treat that’s as nutrient-dense as it is delicious. Crafted with one ripe avocado, refreshing blueberries, and a tablespoon of chia seeds, this breakfast, which doubles as a healthy dessert, will defy your expectations by offering a creamy, luxurious texture without the addition of unnecessary sugars, preservatives, or dairy. Think of this pudding more like a berry-laden, velvety cake, just with a healthier twist and more personality.

Bite into this delicate pudding and you’ll discover an array of health benefits. Blueberries exhibit potent antioxidant activity, meaning they work to fight free radicals, which staves off oxidative stress. Keeping your cells healthy also benefits immune function, and the vitamin C in blueberries contributes to collagen production, which enhances the overall appearance of the skin. Avocados provide heart-healthy, monounsaturated fats, which support healthy cholesterol levels and brain health. Meanwhile, chia seeds add a fibrous punch that aids digestion and keeps you feeling full longer, so you will be less likely to reach for snacks between meals. Instead, this pudding just satisfies your sweet tooth and nourishes the body from the inside out.

Best of all, this pudding is a no-cook, raw vegan masterpiece, so all of those precious nutrients are preserved in their natural state. Whether you’re looking for a guilt-free dessert or a filling breakfast, this blueberry avocado pudding proves that healthy eating can be both delicious and tempting.
