Today just happens to be my last day, and boy am I glad to be done. I am not going to bore you with all the reasons you should detox, you know them all. I am just gonna straight tell you that I feel great! My husband says I look great and I haven’t thought about coffee in about 10 days. So there  you have it!!! 

It’s was worth every craving, every extra trip to the restroom, and every kale salad I ate. DETOX! DETOX! DETOX! DETOX! It’s the way to stay thin and healthy in 2010.

Breakfast – Smoothie with banana, strawberries, apples, and flax seed. 

Lunch – Raw chips with home guacamole, green salad with raw dressing.

Dinner – Spinach salad with carrots, beets, and cucumber dressing.

Today is day 19 for me, I’m very excited about completing my cleanse. It’s always towards the end when I stop to think, 20 days is a long time with little or no cooked foods.  Today, I have to finish up all the food for my son’s party. I’m not trying pretend I don’t want to sample some of the chocolate chip cookies I just baked from scratch. Hey, a girl’s only human!!! (LOL) All jokes aside this has been a wonderful experience for my mind, body, and spirit.  I am starting the year 2010, a couple of inches smaller, extended energy, and a completely positive outlook for the year.

Breakfast – Smoothie , bananas, strawberries, and blueberries.

Lunch – Strawberry, apple, walnut salad. (never to late to try something new)

Dinner -Spinach salad with carrots, cauliflower, broccoli, green peppers, and red onion.

Today is day 18 and basically the detox is done. Yippee! It’s just a matter of time now. After you’ve made it through 17 days, the finish line is a mere formality. I cannot wait until Sunday when I can have cooked foods. I am preparing my vegetable soup this evening, I always try and eat veggie soup the day after a detox. It’s a great way to implement foods back into your diet. Today will be my first official day back at the gym with the trainer. I took it easy during the detox, just giving my body time to detox. I feel like I can run in the Olympic games. This is so great!! 

Breakfast – Smoothie 

Lunch – Kale and spinach salad with all my favorite veggies.

Dinner – Bowl of fruit, nuts and seed

It’s day 17 for me, and I can smell victory coming my way. This was an extremely active detoxing time for me. My son has started walking, and he is all over the place. Running after him for a couple hours could make anybody tired. My oldest is 5 now, so she is into taking classes for everything. Even though it  has been full of activity and changes, I feel great and grounded. I am excited about going back to work with a renewed mind, body and spirit.

Breakfast:  as always my smoothie and other whole fruits.

Snacks: pears, tangerines and raw cashews

Dinner: vegetable soup.

Today is day 16 and the countdown has begun, only 4 days to go.  I am getting those remarks from people, “girl u too skinny!!”  Too Skinny!!! I will take it. I still wish I could have some real food though. I made some homemade baby food for my son today so my squash was a little steamed. 

We took a long walk in the park this afternoon. Staying active is vital for working women. We give so much to our families we often forget to take care of ourselves. Going for a walk keeps me active and gives me special time to spend with my baby!!! 

Breakfast – Fresh apples with bananas 

Lunch – Steamed Squash  (LOL) 

Dinner- Back to old faithful Kale salad (FUNNY)

It’s day 15 and I am in the grocery store buying all the food one can imagine for this birthday party. Remind me why I decided to prepare all the food at the end of my detox? Everything looks and smells so good. Your senses are elevated on a detox because your body is free of toxins. Man I hope I can make it through the party without cheating. My husband was smart and decided to start his detox after the party. I wonder how he is gonna feel when I am eating cooked food and he limited to eating just raw foods.

Breakfast – Banana, strawberries, and apple juice (kinda over smoothies)

Lunch – Mango salsa with raw chips from the health food store.

Dinner – Spinach salad with the raw dressing recipe on the website (I feel like I am reaching)

It’s all about being a mom this week, my son is turning 1. I have plenty to do before the party, enough to keep me busy all week. No caterers for this party. I will be preparing all the food myself. I just hope one of my famous chocolate chip cookies doesn’t accidentally fall into my mouth. (LOL)

The last days of this detox are crucial, I really want regular food, but I don’t want to d-rail all my hard work. KEEP FOCUSED SALLI! I keep repeating to myself. Don’t get me wrong, I feel great but that doesn’t keep me from wanting real food.

Breakfast – Smoothie with strawberries, bananas, pineapples, blueberries, and apple juice.

Lunch – Fruit salad with papaya, avocado, banana, kiwi, raisins, dates, jicama, vanilla, ginger, lemon, and basil.

Dinner – No dinner tonight I am going to bed early.

Today is day 12 and I am moving right along. I ran into a couple of old friends last night at a party. It’s always nice to chat with old friends. Detoxing puts a natural smile, down in your gut, and it shows everywhere you go! The party I went to was great, good music, plenty of laughter, and no raw food. I am telling everyone about the cleanse. (My husband begins to chuckle at me.) (LOL)

Today is day 11 for me and so far so good. My day was filled with family activities. It started with breakfast, I made Banana Pancakes for the kids, and I had a smoothie and a bowl of fruit. I am up and out early, considering I stayed up pretty late.

My event was great! I had my lasagna before I left so I wasn’t worried about eating at the party.

Already the afternoon, and I am off to the park with my kids and the dog for a walk. After our walk we sat down and enjoyed a couple snacks, I like to give carrots and celery as snacks, I eat them all the time if your kids see you eating healthy, they will follow suit. You can not ask kids to make healthy choices, and not make them for yourself.

Early evening and my Glam-squad has arrived for hair and make-up. Just like last night I will eat  dinner before I leave for the event. Important to have something on your stomach. My make-up artist has completed several detoxes and lost about 30 pounds, so we had a nice conversation about our results. She complimented me on how great my skin looks.  Gotta go! “Can’t be tardy for the party”. (LOL)

Breakfast – Smoothie with bananas, mangos, and a bowl of fruit.

Lunch – Raw veggies, carrots, celery, broccoli, and edamame

Dinner –  Raw pesto pizza from my favorite raw restaurant (Sunpower Cafe in Southern Cali)
