Embarking on a cleansing experience means eliminating a plethora of unhealthy foods from your diet. As many people who use the Full Body Cleanse know, the goal is to focus on fresh foods that aid the cleansing process and provide the body with various phytochemicals, antioxidants, and other vitamins & minerals. Diet, while it plays a crucial role in weight loss and achieving a healthier body, is merely one aspect of cleansing.

Cleansing Beyond The Diet

The chemicals in cleaning and beauty products can enter the body via skin absorption or inhalation. Because the average person is accustomed to using these products, he or she may not interpret the side effects of those harmful chemicals in the body as wrong or “out of the norm.” After you cleanse the body, you may notice skin irritation, coughing, or sinus irritations when using commercial cleaning or beauty products. This is why you may want to consider using all-natural alternatives.

Common household cleaners make your living space look clean, but they simultaneously fill the area with chemicals that have caused asthma in children and skin irritations in adults. Indoor air pollution, which ranks high on the list of environmental dangers, is primarily caused by cleaning products. After cleaning with such products post cleanse, you may notice eye irritation, sore throat, runny nose, or headaches. A lot of this has to do with how the government regulates cleaning products.

Cleaning with natural cleaning products may be unfamiliar or different, but so is the thought of completing a Full Body Cleanse. We aren’t saying that you need to trash all of your cleaning and beauty products, but we are suggesting that keeping the body clean and healthy requires a multifaceted approach. Your skin rash or chronic cough may be attributed to your favorite lotion or countertop cleaner. In an effort to expose you to more natural options, here are some of our favorite skin care and cleaning products to incorporate into your new, healthier lifestyle.

DIY Whipped Body Butter

Ingredients:

 • ¼ cup each: Shea butter, cocoa butter, virgin coconut oil, and sweet almond oil
 • 10 drops lavender essential oil
 • 10 drops tea tree essential oil

Instructions:

 • In a double boiler or sauce pain over medium-low heat, combine all of the ingredients, except the essential oils. Stir this mixture until it becomes liquid.
 • Remove from the heat and allow the mixture to cool and set. Make sure it is set before completing the next step.
 • Add the essential oils and whip with a stand or hand mixer, whipping until you get fluffy peaks. The mixture will not whip if you don’t let it set.
 • Spoon this into a glass jar and store in a cool dry place, or in the fridge. Use on dry or cracked skin.

Chemical Free Moisturizer

Ingredients:

 • ¾ cup extra virgin olive oil
 • ¼ cup castor oil
 • small soft washcloth
 • small container for storing oil mixture

Instructions:

 • It is recommended that you only apply this mixture once a day before bed to allow the oils to nurture your skin overnight.
 • Mix the oils together in a glass jar.
 • Pour about one teaspoon of the oil mixture in your hands, rub them together, and apply the mixture all over your face.
 • Take the washcloth and run it under hot water. Place this over your face and leave it on until it becomes cool.
 • Using the washcloth, wipe your face and then rinse the washcloth off.
 • If you feel that your skin is dry, apply a couple drops of olive oil on your skin.
 • Store the mixture in a cool, dry place.

Exfoliating Sugar Scrub

Ingredients:

 • 1 tablespoon dried green tea leaves (can be taken from 2-4 tea bags)
 • 1 cup organic brown sugar
 • ½ cup extra virgin olive oil
 • 2 tablespoons raw honey
 • 10 drops lavender essential oil

Instructions:

 • Mix all of the ingredients in a medium bowl. Scoop this mixture into an airtight container and then store it in a cool dry place.
 • When you want to use this exfoliator, apply about 1 tablespoon to your hands and massage it onto the face/body for 30 seconds. Rinse this from your skin with warm water and pat dry.

Appliance Cleaner

Ingredients:

 • 1 part distilled white vinegar
 • 1 part water

Instructions:

 • In a spray bottle, mix one part distilled white vinegar and 1 part water. Spray on your appliances and wipe away with a microfiber cloth.

Citrusy Dish Soap

Ingredients:

 • 4 teaspoons baking soda
 • 5 cups boiling water
 • 5 tablespoons liquid castile soap
 • 10 drops lemon essential oil
 • 10 drops grapefruit essential oil
 • 10 drops tea tree essential oil

Instructions:

 • Dissolve the baking soda in the boiling water. Add the liquid castile soap and stir until everything is dissolved. Let this cool.
 • When the mixture is cooled, stir in the essential oils and pour it into a bottle. It is important to shake well before you use it.

DIY Disinfectant Spray

Ingredients:

 • Enough lemon peels to fill up a quart-size mason jar
 • Enough distilled white vinegar to fill that mason jar
 • A spray bottle

Instructions:

 • Fill a quart-size mason jar with lemon peels.
 • Fill the jar almost to the brim with distilled white vinegar. Seal the jar and allow it to sit for about one day in a cool dry place.
 • Strain the vinegar through fine mesh strainer into another jar or bowl.
 • Pour the strained vinegar into a spray bottle, screw the top on, and spray away and start cleaning!

Over time, it’s common for the average person to experience sluggishness, bloating, fatigue, mental fog, and poor digestion. The onslaught of toxins from the environment and foods in the Standard American Diet can impair optimal function of the body’s major organs and systems. Even though you can cook food and obtain essential nutrients for the body, the average person is not eating these healthy foods. That’s where a raw food reset comes to the rescue.

If you feel tired, weighed down, constipated, or simply not yourself, you may need to hit the reset button on your health. What better way to do that than focusing on raw foods for a certain time period? According to health food purists, raw food is “alive” and cooked food is “dead.” This means that raw foods contain all of the essential nutrients, which theoretically die during in the cooking process. Many raw food purists are of the mind that eating anything but a raw food diet goes against the laws of nature. Some even attribute all modern diseases, including obesity, diabetes, cancer, and more, to straying from the diet humans used to keep. It’s no secret that the Western diet contributes to many diseases, so could the raw food reset get you back in touch with your healthiest self?

What Is A Raw Food Reset?

A raw food diet can help restore beneficial enzymes that the body needs for optimal digestion and organ function. The duration is entirely up to you. In the case of our Full Body Cleanse, the diet lasts for 20 days. Health experts believe that it takes three weeks to fully reset the body. If you need to test the waters before jumping headfirst into a cleanse, you can do a raw food reset for five, seven, ten, or even 15 days.

What To Expect From A Raw Food Reset

The initial transition from your current diet to the raw food diet is a dramatic shift for the body. It’s a shock to your system, and you may experience some uncomfortable things as you begin the detox process. It’s possible to experience fatigue, headaches, hunger, cravings, slight nausea, and other stomach problems. This is completely normal and the symptoms typically subside after the first couple days. One of the primary things you can expect is frequent elimination. Raw foods take a lot less time to digest, so this encourages regular bowel movements. This process takes time, but the important thing is that the body starts to eliminate toxins and excess fat as you continue to progress through the reset.

The Benefits Of A Raw Food Reset

Even though the reset is temporary, unless you decide to make a lifestyle change, you can experience numerous benefits. Because you’ll be flooding the body with essential, plant-based nutrients and tons of soluble and insoluble fiber, you will definitely experience improved digestion. In addition to better digestion, one of the primary benefits is weight loss. The reduced caloric intake aids with weight loss, but raw foods encourage toxin elimination. They help move waste through the digestive tract so that you can eliminate it efficiently.

On the topic of weight loss, there’s something you should know. Many people cleanse or engage in a raw food reset in order to lose weight. Weight loss is merely a potential side effect of the reset. The primary reason for doing a reset is to get your health back on track! During the reset, the body eliminates toxins, which commonly exist in fat cells. When you eliminate toxins, they can enter the bloodstream, and they’ll stay there if you aren’t effectively aiding their elimination. If you can’t eliminate them from the body, the body creates new fat cells to store those toxins. This is why many people struggle with weight loss and become frustrated when the number on the scale doesn’t reflect their efforts. Raw foods help eliminate these harmful substances, which contributes to effective weight loss.

Engage in a raw food reset and take the time to give your body what it needs. Start with five days and go from there. It’s a great way to hit the reset button on your health!

For people who are on the Full Body Cleanse, or any of our other cleanses, varying your meals is an important part of the raw food diet. You have to keep your taste buds interested, people! You can’t be eating the same salad or drinking the same smoothie every day. You need to change up your recipes because different flavors and textures help you stay on track with the diet.

If you are cleansing, it is advised to eat more than smoothies and salads. While some people like to only consume smoothies for meals, the average person enjoys varying up what he/she eats. A vegetable spiralizer is your friend because you can make different vegetable noodles for raw vegan pastas. You can make raw pasta sauces like pesto or marinara and you don’t have to cook them. You just have to be willing to go the extra mile to prepare your food.

Since salads are a great go-to meal, it is beneficial to always change up the salad ingredients in order to consume various antioxidants and taste different flavors. Add texture by throwing in chopped green beans, red cabbage, snap peas, or raw nuts and seeds. You can also change the base green of your salad. Instead of using Romaine lettuce, use a variety of mixed greens like spinach, arugula, and red leaf lettuce. You can also chop up kale and mix it with raw sunflower seeds, sliced grapes, raisins, red & green cabbage, red bell peppers, and cucumbers.

To help you with your food choices, try these recipes for dinner or lunch. Remember, prepping food is always the best because it means you can throw the meal together in 10 minutes when you are hungry.

While it may not be cold in every state, many areas of the country are experiencing some brisk temperatures. The cold temperatures, and the fact that cold & flu viruses are making the rounds, are not conducive to remaining healthy. Sometimes we tense up in the colder temperatures, but this is not good for your muscles and joints. It’s best to take a natural approach and warm up internally.

In case you haven’t noticed, the colder months are often associated with fragrant and comforting herbs/scents. These herbs work to bring the blood to the surface of your skin, which helps to warm the body by acting as a radiator (to some degree). Warming herbs also work to improve digestion and regulate blood sugar levels. Try to incorporate the following herbs into your life and let us know if they help to warm you up!

Ginger

Ginger is a natural antioxidant and antiseptic that works to improve circulation throughout the body. Regularly consuming ginger can help to reduce inflammation, lubricating stiff or achy joints. Pour boiling water over freshly sliced ginger root to make a tea for one of the best (and warming) ways to consume ginger. You can also add ginger slices to smoothies, dressings, or even to a hot bath to absorb the benefits through your skin.

Cinnamon

If you are someone who is always cold, you need cinnamon in your life. Cinnamon works to dry excess moisture in the body, while stimulating circulation in the process. It is also beneficial for healthy digestion, boosting the immune system, and regulating blood sugar levels, which helps to reduce cravings.

Garlic

Although you may not want your breath to smell like garlic, it is certainly a powerful immune-boosting herb with antibacterial and antiviral properties. Garlic is a natural vasodilator, which means that it helps to widen blood vessels and prevent blood cells from clumping. In case you were wondering what else garlic does, it works to improve the health of your heart and lowers glucose metabolism in people with diabetes.

Cardamom

Cardamom is actually a member of the ginger family and it helps to keep you mentally alert. The warming effect of cardamom actually promotes sweating! How crazy is that? It also helps to clear mucus from your airways, improve your ability to digest starches, and may be beneficial for relieving headaches.

Cayenne

Abundant in vitamin C (it actually has more than oranges), cayenne pepper helps to relieve chills, congestion, or coughs. Capsaicin is the active ingredient in this pepper and it works to slowly increase the body’s core temperature. It also helps to boost the metabolism!

Winter is upon us, which means that it’s time to put on bulky coats, beanies, gloves, and scarves for warmth. After being out in the cold, most people like to come home and enjoy stews, oven baked delights, and hearty comforting meals, but you can’t do that if you are on a raw foods diet. A salad may not be at the top of the list when you walk in your house from the cold, so what do you eat to stay warm?

Whether you are eating a raw foods diet as part of one of our cleanses, or you’re just experimenting with a healthier lifestyle, eating cold food when you really want warm food can be challenging. The reality is that eating raw foods provides the body with the essential nutrients it needs to function optimally. The raw foods actually help to naturally detox your body, and this helps to increase circulation, which can make you feel warmer.

In case the cold just happens to go all the way through to your core, we have some tips on how to stay warm while eating raw foods. Try some of the following tips to keep warm and let us know if they work for you.

#1: Spice It Up

If you live in climates that are 32 degrees F or below, try putting cayenne pepper or cloves in socks or gloves. Some people may be sensitive and don’t want to put cayenne on their skin, and that’s completely acceptable. You can spice up your food with cayenne, ginger, black pepper, cumin, chili powder, curry, and garlic as well! Many of these spices go great in homemade salad dressings.

#2: Exercise

Exercise is a great way to get your blood flowing, and it helps warm you up. You can even break a sweat running in 20-degree weather. Get the juices going with a morning workout routine and try to stretch before dinner to help boost your metabolism.

#3: Use A Dehydrator

You can actually warm food in a dehydrator, so long as you don’t warm it above 115 degrees. Warming your food for about 10-15 minutes in the dehydrator is acceptable because it doesn’t destroy the enzymes in your food. If you don’t have a dehydrator, you can warm up a plate and serve your food on that. It’s hacks like that that will take your raw vegan game to the next level.

#4: Drink Warming Beverages

Herbal teas are probably the best for cold weather. Curl up under a fuzzy blanket and sip on chamomile, ginger, lemon, peppermint, or Echinacea tea to warm your soul. Additionally, you can drink lemon water and mix in fresh ginger or cayenne pepper to promote internal warmth.

#5: Dry Skin Brushing

Dry skin brushing is a great technique to increase circulation in the body. Take a brush with firm bristles and brush your skin from your arms and legs towards your heart, a practice that also promotes detoxification. Brushing away from the heart can disrupt proper circulation, so make a mental note to not do that.

#6: Make Your Meal Meaty

This does not mean that you should add meat to your meal; rather, it is best add meaty things like mushrooms, avocados, walnuts, almonds, or sun-dried tomatoes to your meals. Dark leafy greens also give your body sustenance, which helps keep you warm.

There are your regular kitchen essentials, and then there are your raw vegan kitchen essentials. We aren’t talking about the fresh fruits and vegetables, which you will become very familiar with; rather, we are referring to specific pantry ingredients that will make your raw food diet a lot easier, and a lot more flavorful.

We recommend stocking your kitchen with a few key ingredients, regardless of whether you are eating raw foods or not. These ingredients are rich in essential nutrients and they add powerful flavors and textures to the snacks, desserts, entrees, appetizers, and breakfasts that you will make while cleansing. Many of these items are the foundation of a lot of recipes that we post in our Full Body Cleanse Approved recipe section. Aside from stocking your spice cabinet, you should consider purchasing following items to make it through the cleansing diet with ease.

1. Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Extra virgin olive oil is the cornerstone of a great kitchen. Used in dressings, marinades, sauces, dips, condiments, and more, olive oil adds a wonderfully luscious, slightly briny flavor to dishes. Extra virgin olive oil should be your go-to base for cleanse-approved salad dressings, but coconut and avocado oils are two great options for alternate flavors. If you get tired of dressing salads with olive oil, consider massaging it into the hair and scalp to inhibit dandruff and encourage healthier hair.

2. Coconut Oil

Not too long ago, the American Heart Association said that coconut oil was fattening, causing a lot of people to lose faith in its health benefits. Fear not because coconut oil contains healthy fats and lauric acid, which actually helps to fight fat in the body. It can be used to make your own beauty products or as a base for salad dressings. Don’t cook with it because it is not a high heat oil. Try to only buy virgin coconut oil that is unrefined.

3. Apple Cider Vinegar

This is a necessity if you are taking part in one of our cleanses. It adds depth of flavor to dressings and helps to naturally alkalize the body. Try your best to purchase raw, unfiltered apple cider vinegar for the best benefits. If you need to improve digestion, try drinking one teaspoon of apple cider vinegar in eight ounces of filtered water 30 minutes before your meal. You can also use this same recipe to help speed up metabolism or raise alkaline levels.

4. 100% Grade A Maple Syrup

This is one of the best (and only!) sweeteners you can use while cleansing. Best used in moderation, dousing your recipe with maple syrup can make your entire meal taste like maple syrup. The reason that 100% grade A maple syrup is acceptable to consume while cleansing is because it doesn’t cause blood sugar spikes like many other sweeteners do. It also has antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals.

5. Sea Salt

Regular table salt is not allowed while you are cleansing; rather, the acceptable salts to use include sea salt, Himalayan salt, or Celtic sea salt. These salts are in their purest forms, which means that they contain essential trace minerals that regular salt does not. Remember that you shouldn’t over-salt your food with these salts, especially if your goal is to naturally lower blood pressure levels. If you want a slightly

6. Frozen Bananas

Frozen bananas are life during your cleanse. This is a pro-tip for frozen banana prep: make your life easier by peeling and slicing the bananas prior to storing them in bag or container in the freezer. Frozen bananas make smoothies creamy, give smoothie bowls a thicker consistency, and can be the perfect base for a raw ice cream! Not to mention, bananas are naturally rich in complex carbohydrates, which are necessary for those who want to exercise while cleansing

7. Raw Nuts

Unless you have a nut allergy or are trying to avoid arginine foods, nuts are absolutely essential to have on a raw foods diet. They are great for snacking because one handful can help satiate you between meals and keep cravings at bay. They are rich in protein, selenium, magnesium, healthy fats, and other nutrients. You can also make your own nut milks from scratch because you cannot consume the processed nut milks that are sold in grocery stores. Try to keep these separate when snacking in order to normalize digestion.

8. Dried Fruit

First off, there are a couple rules to follow when buying dried fruit. Make sure that there are no added sugars and that there are no added preservatives, especially sulfur dioxide. Depending on the dried fruit you purchase, you can add them to salads, homemade energy bites, or raw desserts. After exploring our recipe section (click here), you may find that dates come in handy, particularly for people with a sweet tooth.

9. Nutritional Yeast

Not to be confused with baker’s yeast, nutritional yeast is a delicious powder that has somewhat of a cheesy flavor. It is essential for making raw cheese sauces or for thickening raw dressings. Loaded with vitamin B-12, nutritional yeast is considered to be a superfood, which solidifies that it should be a staple in raw foodie’s kitchen.

10. Raw Cacao Powder

You can’t open a chocolate bar or open a pint of chocolate ice cream while cleansing, but you can make raw renditions of your favorite chocolate treats with raw cacao powder. Note that there is a vast difference between cocoa and raw cacao, which possesses all of the antioxidants that get lost during processing. Raw cacao has more calcium than milk per gram, it is rich in magnesium, and it is the highest plant-based source of iron. Use raw cacao to make raw chocolate pudding, a raw chocolate shake, energy bites, or raw brownies!

A Beginner’s Guide To Juicing https://www.dherbs.com/articles/diet-nutrition/a-beginners-guide-to-juicing/ Mon, 19 Aug 2019 10:30:25 +0000 https://www.dherbs.com/?p=69858

The post A Beginner’s Guide To Juicing appeared first on Dherbs - The Best All Natural Herbal Remedies & Products.

]]>

Juicing is one of the best ways to get a wide variety of nutrients in your diet. Let it be known that juicing does not mean that you go to the grocery store to buy a bunch of bottled juices, which are full of sugar and preservatives. A lot of these bottled juices don’t even have real fruit in them! Simply put, juicing can change your health for the better.

What Is Juicing?

Juicing is essentially drinking your food. Using a juicer, you make your own juices from fresh fruits and vegetables. Juicing helps you integrate fruits and vegetables, which you might not normally eat, into your diet. If you are opposed to juicing, you can make smoothies instead because you can reap a lot of the same benefits.

Benefits of Juicing

The average American has a lot of built-up toxins and waste in the body. This is because we are exposed to environmental pollution and consume products that have lots of preservatives and chemicals, which the body cannot properly process. Drinking freshly made juices helps your body efficiently absorb nutrients from the fruits and vegetables. When you consume raw fruits in vegetables, your body doesn’t have to work as hard to utilize them, meaning your bodily systems and organs can function optimally.

Results You Can Experience While Juicing

 • Weight Loss
 • Hydration
 • An Alkaline Body
 • Clearer Skin
 • Healthier Nails
 • More Energy
 • Mental Clarity
 • Improved Immune System

Side Effects of Juicing

While juicing is beneficial, it is best if it is done in moderation. Juicing for too long can throw off your body because it starts to store food differently, when you start eating real food again. It may be harder for you to lose weight after juicing for a long period of time. It may also affect your digestive system, due to the fact that your body doesn’t really have work to digest food. This is why it is best to juice for three days to one week at a time. This is also why a lot of people like to do all smoothie diets. Smoothies help you feel full and they are packed with dietary fiber.

How To Start Juicing

You may not want to dive headfirst into juicing. It is best to wade in slowly until you get comfortable. What we mean by this is that you shouldn’t throw every green vegetable in existence into your first couple juices. Start off with familiar fruits and vegetables that have mild flavors. Such produce items include apples, lettuce, carrots, celery, cucumbers, oranges, strawberries, lemons, and tomatoes. After you experiment with these flavors, try adding nutritional powerhouses like beets, kale, chard, ginger, parsley, grapefruit, sweet potatoes, broccoli, and pears.

We don’t want to throw you into the juicing world without any guidance, so here are a few juicing combinations that you can experiment with. Remember that you can make smoothies with these recipes, but you will have to add ice and water, and they will be more fibrous and filling. You may also need to lessen the amount of ingredients if you are making smoothies.

Beginner Green Juice

 • 4 celery stalks
 • 1 cucumber
 • 1 apple
 • parsley, to taste
 • ½ lemon, peeled

Everyone should experience the thrill of traveling, no matter if it is a trip for pleasure or for business. A trip to a neighboring state can be just as exciting as European adventure. There is always a new discovery to be made, a new point of view to be had, and new foods to try during your travels. The leisure of travel can sometimes stress out the traveler if the goal is to maintain a raw food diet on the road.

It’s too easy to abandon your diet while traveling. Whether you are limiting carbs, avoiding sugar, or abstaining from grains, these restrictions seem to fade away at the sight of fattening temptations at local restaurants, new snacks in convenience stores, or some packaged item that you “just have to try.” Even if your travels consist of driving three hours to the coast for a weekend getaway, you are likely to abandon your diet. It may even start in the car ride to your destination! People think of vacation or travel as an excuse to eat things that they don’t normally eat. That’s typically half the fun!

But what happens when you are on the road and on a raw foods diet, adhering to one of our cleanses, for example? A quick stop at a fast food restaurant isn’t in the cards, and raw vegan restaurants are not as readily available as you might think. It’s hard to maintain a raw foods diet while traveling, especially if you don’t think outside the box. There’s no need to dramatize the experience because it can be done, so long as you employ the following tips.

Plan Ahead

A raw vegan should always have the mindset of planning ahead, no matter where in the world they are. If your travels consist of a long road trip, fill your cooler lots of water, cut up fruit, carrot sticks, a salad or two, homemade dressing, and raw almond butter. Before you even leave on your trip, take the time to research whether or not any raw food restaurants exist in your destination. Additionally, locate the nearest grocery store to where you are staying because that is one place that will always save you, no matter where you travel. Stock up on produce at the grocery store! If you have to travel on a plane for a long time, contact the airline ahead of time to see if they can accommodate your dietary needs with a fruit or vegetable plate, for instance.

Save Space For Tools

You may need to reserve some space in your suitcase for a few kitchen accessories to ease your raw food experience while traveling. Pack some meal prep containers, a vegetable peeler, some travel cutlery, raw protein powder, or dressing containers. You may also want to consider packing some raw nuts, dried fruit (free of sugars and preservatives), or herbal teas. You can always ask a coffee shop for hot water to steep your tea in. When you don’t make the diet easy on yourself, you are more likely to cheat. Convenience is everything!

Stay Hydrated

You don’t have to bring gallons of water, but we do encourage bringing a stainless steel water bottle, or any travel water bottle. Refill your water bottle in the airport before your flight, or purchase a good quality bottle of water in the airport. If you are driving to your destination, bring some bottles of alkaline water, fresh lemons, and cucumbers so you can make detox waters.

Request A Kitchenette

When you don’t have an area or tools to prepare your food, sticking to the raw foods diet becomes more difficult. If you plan on staying in a hotel, request a kitchenette if it is possible and the cost isn’t astronomical. With a kitchenette at your disposal, you’ll be able to easily prepare salads, smoothies, and more. Don’t forget that grocery stores often carry zucchini noodles!

There’s Always A Way To Eat Raw

There may come a time during your travels when you burn through all of your snacks, groceries, and you are in an area without a grocery store. In this moment, you may think that the only option is to abandon everything and cheat on your diet. You are only cheating yourself out of positive results if you cheat. We know your will is stronger than that! Many places serve salads, and you can always ask for olive oil and fresh lemons to dress the salad. There are also smoothie places, where you can request smoothies are solely made from fruits, vegetables, and water.

Don’t think that traveling means that your raw food journey has to end. You just need to plan accordingly.

If you are eating raw, you may want hot food. The best way to do that on a raw food diet is to eat meals that have a spicy kick. The curry powder, chile flakes, and cayenne can help warm you up, even though you won’t be cooking anything. Pretty cool, right?
