Botanical moisture for your face and body
One oil for everyday skin nourishment
Face and Body Oil (8 oz) is a plant-based moisturizing oil formulated to nourish, soften, and condition skin from head to toe. Instead of relying on a single carrier oil, the formula combines nutrient-rich botanical oils with aromatic essential oils to provide comprehensive daily care for skin that feels dry, rough, tight, or in need of extra moisture.
The formula can be used as a facial oil, body oil, or targeted moisturizer for areas that need additional conditioning. Its versatile nature makes it an easy addition to a simple skincare routine without requiring separate oils for different areas of the body.
Moisture that supports soft, supple skin
Helping reduce moisture loss
Skin naturally loses water throughout the day, and that loss can become more noticeable after bathing, exposure to dry air, or frequent cleansing. Face and Body Oil (8 oz) coats and conditions the skin with emollient plant oils that help reduce the dry, rough feeling associated with moisture loss.
For best results, apply the oil after bathing while the skin still retains a little moisture. This allows the botanical oils to help seal in hydration while leaving the skin feeling smooth and conditioned.
A blend of carrier oils and essential oils
More than a single-oil moisturizer
The strength of Face and Body Oil (8 oz) comes from its diverse botanical blend. Oxygenated olive oil, jojoba, almond, evening primrose, grapeseed, black currant seed, avocado, and rose hip seed oils provide a combination of fatty acids, antioxidants, and naturally occurring plant compounds.
These carrier oils are complemented by French lavender, German chamomile, bergamot, cedarwood, geranium, calendula, carrot seed, myrrh, palmarosa, patchouli, blue tansy, neroli, and ylang ylang essential oils. Together, they create a botanical skincare oil designed around moisturization, conditioning, softness, and a healthy-looking appearance.
Face oil and body oil in one formula
Simplify your daily skincare routine
You don't always need a separate oil for every part of your skincare routine. Face and Body Oil (8 oz) is formulated for use on both facial and body skin, making it especially convenient for people who prefer multipurpose products.
Massage a small amount into the face as part of your moisturizing routine, or smooth it over larger areas of the body after bathing. You can also concentrate it on areas that tend to become especially dry, such as the elbows, knees, hands, and heels.
Face and Body Oil vs. body lotion
Botanical oils vs. a water-based moisturizer
Body lotions are emulsions typically made with water, oils, emulsifiers, and other ingredients. Their higher water content often gives them a lighter initial feel.
Face and Body Oil (8 oz) is an oil-based moisturizer. Rather than supplying water to the skin, its botanical oils help condition the skin and support moisture retention. It can be especially useful after bathing, when applying oil to slightly damp skin can help seal in existing moisture.
Some people prefer one or the other, while others layer them by applying lotion first and oil afterward.
Face and Body Oil vs. single-ingredient oils
A botanical blend vs. one carrier oil
Coconut, jojoba, almond, olive, and other individual oils can be useful additions to a skincare routine, but a single oil provides the characteristics of only that particular ingredient.
Face and Body Oil (8 oz) combines multiple carrier oils with a carefully selected blend of essential oils. This gives the formula a broader fatty-acid and botanical profile while allowing one product to provide moisturizing, conditioning, and aromatic benefits.
Face and Body Oil vs. Age Defying Oil
Multipurpose moisture vs. targeted facial care
Both oils are botanical skincare options, but they serve different purposes.
Face and Body Oil (8 oz) is the more versatile choice when you want one product for everyday face and full-body moisturization. It focuses on hydration, softness, conditioning, and maintaining healthy-looking skin.
Dherbs' Age Defying Oil is formulated more specifically as a facial oil for mature-looking skin and contains ingredients such as jojoba, rose hip seed, borage seed, and marula oils. It is designed to complement a facial skincare routine focused on maintaining a smooth, supple, youthful-looking complexion.
For all-over daily moisture, choose Face and Body Oil (8 oz). For a more specialized facial routine focused on the appearance of aging skin, consider Dherbs' Age Defying Oil.
Face and Body Oil vs. Cellulite Oil
Everyday hydration vs. targeted massage
Face and Body Oil (8 oz) is formulated as an everyday multipurpose moisturizer for the face and body.
Dherbs' Cellulite Oil has a more targeted purpose. It combines grapeseed and avocado oils with essential oils such as cypress, juniper, grapefruit, and lemon and is designed to complement massage on areas where cellulite is visible.
Use Face and Body Oil (8 oz) when overall hydration and skin nourishment are your priority. Choose Cellulite Oil when you specifically want a botanical oil for targeted cellulite massage.
Ingredients
Oxygenated olive oil
Oxygenated olive oil provides an emollient base that helps soften and condition dry skin. Olive oil naturally contains oleic acid, linoleic acid, squalene, vitamin E compounds such as tocopherols, and plant polyphenols. We use it to provide rich moisturization and help maintain a soft, conditioned skin surface.
Jojoba
Jojoba contains wax esters rather than functioning chemically like a typical triglyceride-based vegetable oil. It also contains naturally occurring vitamin E compounds and long-chain fatty acids and alcohols. Its wax esters resemble components found in human sebum, making jojoba particularly useful for conditioning skin without requiring a heavy application.
Almond
Almond oil is naturally rich in oleic and linoleic acids and contains vitamin E, primarily in the form of alpha-tocopherol. We include it as an emollient to help soften rough-feeling skin and support moisture retention.
Evening primrose
Evening primrose oil is notable for its linoleic acid and gamma-linolenic acid (GLA) content. These essential fatty acids make it a valuable conditioning ingredient in formulas designed for dry or moisture-depleted skin.
Grapeseed
Grapeseed oil is especially rich in linoleic acid and also supplies oleic acid, vitamin E compounds, and plant phytosterols. Its relatively lightweight character makes it useful for providing skin-conditioning lipids without creating an unnecessarily heavy formula.
Black currant seed
Black currant seed oil contains linoleic acid, alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), and gamma-linolenic acid (GLA). We use it to add a diverse range of essential fatty acids to the formula and support soft, supple-feeling skin.
Avocado oil
Avocado oil contains oleic acid, linoleic acid, phytosterols, carotenoids, and vitamin E. It may also contain carotenoid precursors associated with vitamin A activity. Its rich emollient properties make it particularly useful for conditioning areas that feel dry or rough.
Arnica
Arnica contains naturally occurring botanical compounds including sesquiterpene lactones, flavonoids, and phenolic compounds. It has a long history of topical botanical use and is included to complement the formula's skin-conditioning plant oils.
Rose hip seed oil
Rose hip seed oil is particularly valued for its linoleic and alpha-linolenic fatty acids, along with naturally occurring carotenoids and tocopherols. We use it to support a soft, supple texture and healthy-looking skin.
French lavender essential oil
Lavender essential oil contains aromatic compounds such as linalool and linalyl acetate. We use it for its distinctive botanical aroma and its role in a soothing, well-rounded skincare blend.
German chamomile essential oil
German chamomile is known for compounds including alpha-bisabolol and chamazulene. It is included as a botanical component of our skin-conditioning essential-oil blend.
Bergamot essential oil
Bergamot contains aromatic compounds such as limonene, linalool, and linalyl acetate. It provides a fresh citrus character that complements the deeper floral and earthy notes in the formula.
Cedarwood essential oil
Cedarwood essential oil contains aromatic sesquiterpenes, with the exact composition depending on the botanical species. We use it to complement the formula with a warm, woody aroma and additional botanical skin-conditioning properties.
Geranium essential oil
Geranium oil commonly contains citronellol, geraniol, and linalool. It provides a fresh floral aroma and is commonly incorporated into botanical skincare formulations intended to condition and refresh the skin.
Calendula essential oil
Calendula contains botanical constituents such as triterpenoids, flavonoids, and carotenoids. It has a long history of use in topical preparations and is included to complement the formula's gentle, conditioning character.
Carrot seed essential oil
Carrot seed essential oil contains aromatic compounds including carotol and other sesquiterpenes. We include it as part of the botanical blend supporting conditioned, healthy-looking skin.
Myrrh essential oil
Myrrh contains a complex mixture of terpenoids and sesquiterpenes responsible for its distinctive warm, resinous aroma. It has a long history of cosmetic use and complements the moisturizing oils in the formula.
Palmarosa essential oil
Palmarosa is naturally rich in geraniol, an aromatic terpene alcohol responsible for much of its rosy scent. We use it for its fragrance and as part of the formula's overall skin-conditioning botanical blend.
Patchouli essential oil
Patchouli contains sesquiterpenes, particularly patchoulol, which contributes to its recognizable earthy aroma. It complements the formula's botanical profile and is commonly incorporated into oils for dry-feeling skin.
Blue tansy essential oil
Blue tansy contains compounds including chamazulene, which gives the oil its distinctive blue appearance, along with other aromatic terpenes. It is included to complement the formula's soothing botanical character.
Neroli essential oil
Neroli contains aromatic constituents including linalool, limonene, and linalyl acetate. We use it for its floral-citrus aroma and to complement a skincare formula designed to leave the complexion feeling conditioned and looking radiant.
Ylang ylang essential oil
Ylang ylang contains aromatic compounds including linalool, germacrene D, and various esters. It contributes a rich floral aroma and rounds out the botanical essential-oil blend.
How to use
Daily face and body application
Pour a small amount of Face and Body Oil (8 oz) into the palm of your hand and rub your hands together. Gently massage the oil into the desired areas of the face or body.
Use daily or as needed. When using it as an all-over body moisturizer, try applying it after a bath or shower while your skin is still slightly damp to help retain moisture.
When using the product on your face for the first time, begin with a small amount. Because the formula contains numerous botanical and essential oils, patch testing before broader use is a sensible choice for sensitive or reactive skin.
For external use only. Avoid direct contact with the eyes. Discontinue use if significant irritation develops.
