Botanical feminine self-care inspired by traditional practices
Nine herbs create one nourishing yoni steam blend
Yoni Nourish Steam combines nine botanicals in an herbal blend created specifically for the traditional practice of yoni steaming.
The formula brings together mullein leaf, vitex berry, ginger root, ashoka bark, dong quai root, stevia leaf, black cohosh root, cramp bark root, and goldenseal leaf.
Rather than treating yoni steaming as something that needs to be complicated, we've created a ready-to-use herbal combination that makes it easier to incorporate this traditional practice into an intentional feminine self-care routine.
What is yoni steaming?
A traditional herbal steam ritual for women
Yoni steaming, also known as vaginal steaming or V-steaming, is a traditional practice in which a woman sits or positions herself above warm herbal steam so that the steam reaches the external vaginal and vulvar area.
Yoni Nourish Steam provides the botanical component of that ritual.
The herbs are steeped in heated water, creating an aromatic steam experience. The practice can become a quiet opportunity to slow down, relax, and dedicate time specifically to feminine self-care.
The steam should always feel comfortably warm—not painfully hot.
Yoni steaming vs. vaginal cleansing
External self-care is different from cleaning inside the vagina
Yoni Nourish Steam is intended for an external steaming ritual. It should not be inserted into the vagina.
The vagina naturally maintains its own internal environment and does not need to be scrubbed, douched, or internally washed.
That distinction matters.
Yoni steaming is better approached as a traditional external wellness ritual rather than a method of physically washing the inside of the vagina.
Yoni Nourish Steam vs. plain water steam
Nine botanicals vs. steam alone
Warm water creates steam by itself, but Yoni Nourish Steam adds a carefully selected combination of aromatic herbs to the experience.
Mullein contributes a soft herbal character. Ginger provides a distinctive warm, spicy aroma. Vitex, ashoka, dong quai, black cohosh, and cramp bark bring herbs with long histories in traditional women's wellness practices into the blend.
The result is a more botanical and intentional self-care ritual than using plain steam alone.
Yoni Nourish Steam vs. Yoni HER Steam
Feminine nourishment vs. sensual wellness
Our yoni steam blends aren't all formulated around the same type of self-care.
Yoni Nourish Steam is centered around feminine nourishment and menstrual wellness, with ingredients such as vitex, ashoka, dong quai, black cohosh, and cramp bark.
Yoni HER Steam takes a more sensual approach. Its formula includes ashwagandha, damiana, muira puama, tribulus, saw palmetto, ginkgo, and maca—botanicals traditionally associated with vitality, stamina, and libido.
Choose Yoni Nourish Steam when you want a feminine wellness-focused steam ritual.
Choose Yoni HER Steam when sensuality and intimate self-care are the focus.
Yoni Nourish Steam vs. Yoni Wrm Steam
Feminine wellness vs. a more intensive herbal blend
Yoni Nourish Steam contains herbs traditionally associated with women's wellness, including vitex, dong quai, ashoka, black cohosh, and cramp bark.
Yoni Wrm Steam has a very different ingredient profile. It contains black walnut, wormwood, clove, cinnamon, quassia, neem, epazote, senna, boldo, and stevia.
The formulas shouldn't be viewed as interchangeable simply because both are yoni steam blends.
If your goal is a nourishing feminine self-care and menstrual wellness ritual, Yoni Nourish Steam is the more natural fit.
Yoni Nourish Steam vs. Yoni Steamer
Herbal blend vs. steaming equipment
These products work together but perform completely different jobs.
Yoni Nourish Steam is the herbal blend used to prepare the steam.
Our Yoni Steamer is the reusable device designed to make at-home yoni steaming easier and more comfortable.
If you're building a complete steaming setup, pair Yoni Nourish Steam with our Yoni Steamer.
The steamer provides the equipment. Yoni Nourish Steam provides the herbs.
Ingredients
Mullein leaf
Mullein (Verbascum thapsus) has a long history in traditional herbal preparations.
The leaves naturally contain mucilage polysaccharides, flavonoids, iridoid glycosides such as aucubin, saponins, and phenolic compounds.
We use mullein in Yoni Nourish Steam for its traditional soothing botanical character and to provide a gentle herbal foundation for the steam blend.
Vitex berry
Vitex (Vitex agnus-castus), commonly called chaste tree berry or chasteberry, is one of the best-known herbs associated with traditional women's wellness.
Vitex contains iridoid glycosides such as agnuside and aucubin, along with flavonoids including casticin and various diterpenes.
We include vitex because of its longstanding association with menstrual and female wellness traditions.
Ginger root
Ginger (Zingiber officinale) provides some of the most recognizable phytochemicals in the formula.
Fresh and dried ginger contain gingerols, shogaols, paradols, and aromatic terpenes.
We use ginger to contribute a warm, spicy botanical character that complements the traditional feminine herbs in Yoni Nourish Steam.
Ashoka bark
Ashoka (Saraca asoca) has a particularly long history in Ayurvedic traditions surrounding women's wellness.
Its bark contains naturally occurring tannins, flavonoids, catechins, procyanidins, sterols, and other phenolic compounds.
We include ashoka because its traditional botanical identity aligns closely with the feminine wellness focus of Yoni Nourish Steam.
Dong quai root
Dong quai (Angelica sinensis) has been used extensively in traditional Chinese herbal practices and is sometimes called "female ginseng."
Its root contains compounds including ferulic acid, ligustilide, polysaccharides, phytosterols, and other naturally occurring phthalides and phenolics.
We include dong quai because of its longstanding role in traditional women's herbal practices.
Stevia leaf
Stevia (Stevia rebaudiana) is best known for naturally occurring steviol glycosides, including stevioside and rebaudioside A.
The whole leaf also contains polyphenols and flavonoids as well as trace mineral constituents.
In Yoni Nourish Steam, stevia isn't being used as a sweetener because the product isn't consumed. We include the leaf as a complementary botanical within the overall herbal blend.
Black cohosh root
Black cohosh (Actaea racemosa) is a North American botanical with a long history of use in women's herbal wellness.
Its root and rhizome contain triterpene glycosides, including actein-related compounds, along with phenolic acids and other naturally occurring phytochemicals.
We use black cohosh because of its longstanding traditional association with women's wellness, particularly during different stages of the female reproductive life cycle.
Cramp bark root
Cramp bark (Viburnum opulus) has traditionally been used in herbal preparations associated with menstrual wellness.
Its phytochemical profile includes coumarins such as scopoletin, tannins, flavonoids, phenolic compounds, and other naturally occurring constituents.
We include cramp bark because its traditional herbal identity complements the menstrual wellness theme of the formula.
Goldenseal leaf
Goldenseal (Hydrastis canadensis) is known for naturally occurring isoquinoline alkaloids, including berberine and related compounds. The relative concentrations of these constituents differ between leaves, stems, and roots.
We include goldenseal leaf to complement the botanical diversity of Yoni Nourish Steam.
Why phytochemicals matter more in a yoni steam blend
These herbs aren't being used as nutritional supplements
A common mistake is assuming that because an herb contains vitamins or minerals, every preparation made with that herb provides those nutrients to the body.
That's not how Yoni Nourish Steam is intended to work.
This product isn't swallowed, so its ingredients shouldn't be evaluated like a multivitamin, herbal capsule, or nutritional tea. The herbs are used to create an external aromatic steam experience.
For that reason, compounds such as flavonoids, volatile oils, tannins, iridoids, alkaloids, and other phytochemicals are useful for understanding the plants themselves, but we don't represent vaginal steaming as a method of delivering meaningful amounts of these compounds, vitamins, or minerals into the body.
Yoni steam herbs vs. oral women's supplements
Two fundamentally different approaches
Yoni Nourish Steam is used externally as part of a steaming ritual.
An oral women's wellness supplement is swallowed and passes through the digestive system, where its ingredients and nutrients may become available for absorption.
This difference is particularly important when discussing ingredients such as vitex, dong quai, black cohosh, or ginger. Their properties when taken orally cannot automatically be attributed to their use in steam.
Choose Yoni Nourish Steam for the traditional external self-care experience—not as a substitute for an oral supplement recommended for a particular nutritional purpose.
How to use
Prepare the herbs with comfortably warm steam
Prepare Yoni Nourish Steam according to the instructions supplied with the product and your yoni steaming equipment.
The blend can be paired with our Yoni Steamer, which provides a dedicated setup for at-home steaming.
Before positioning yourself over the steam, always check the temperature carefully.
The steam should feel comfortably warm and soothing. It should never feel excessively hot, painful, or irritating. Vulvar tissue is delicate and can be burned by steam that is too hot.
Stop immediately if you experience burning, pain, irritation, dizziness, or other discomfort.
Creating a feminine self-care ritual
Make the experience about more than the steam
Yoni Nourish Steam can become an opportunity to intentionally slow down.
Choose a private, comfortable environment. Put away your phone if possible, lower the lights, play relaxing music, meditate, journal, or simply sit quietly.
The purpose of a self-care ritual isn't to rush toward a promised result. Sometimes the value is simply creating dedicated time to reconnect with yourself and your body.
Menstrual wellness and yoni steaming
Do not steam while actively menstruating
We recommend avoiding Yoni Nourish Steam during active menstrual bleeding.
If menstrual wellness is part of your broader routine, use the product only at an appropriate time outside active menstruation and according to its directions.
Yoni steaming should also not replace medical evaluation for unusually heavy bleeding, severe menstrual pain, bleeding between periods, consistently irregular cycles, or other persistent changes.
